AngelCityOutlaw Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 I just can't believe this...anyone who ever watched a movie and said "I want to write film music" or even TV and game scores, at some point they heard this man's music and it inspired them to compose. http://www.billboard.com/articles/news/6605686/james-horner-film-composer-for-titanic-and-braveheart-dies-in-plane-crash Quote
Chernabogue Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 I woke up and it was the first thing I saw in my news feed. Fuck, just after Christopher Lee, 2015 is trying to say something. Will be listening to The Land Before Time this morning. RIP good sir. Subz1987 1 Quote

djpretzel Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 Absolute legend; grew up on his music. He will be missed by millions. Quote
timaeus222 Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 I didn't know he wrote for Land Before Time. I'm pretty sure I had up to the 9th movie on VHS back then. RIP Quote
Yasae Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 What a shame. I could easily point in the direction of his wall of credits and find a good score - Aliens, Cocoon, The Land Before Time, Pelican Brief, Apollo 13, Braveheart, etc etc. Even cheese like Titanic and Avatar was elevated. RIP. Quote
A-RoN Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 Bawl your eyes out my friend. His music helped make this movie just so amazing. THE FEELS! This made me cry as a kid. James Horner's melodies from Land Before Time will now be stuck in my head for a while. RIP Quote
