Bundeslang
The People's Remix Competition 321PRCv13-09Hello everyone and Welcome to the People's Remix Competition! NinjaPenguinDan was the winner of PRC319 and picked Yell "Dead Cell" from Metal Gear Solid 2 as the source for PRC320. He also submitted a bonus track. Chalis and Bundeslang participated, but no winner was decided, meaning that both got the victory. Both picked a source without a PRC history, meaning that there are no rounds with related content. Source 1: Chalis Quote Here's my source, Megalovania from Undertale. www.mediafire.com/download/9o54ui20ld4ken7/MIDIlovania.mid Source 2: Bundeslang Quote Decided to pick a song from Godzilla. The MIDI's might be hard to remix, that's why I waited for a multi source round to pick it. I pick Chidora's theme. Source 1: Undertale (Windows) - Megalovania MIDI Source Information Source 2: Godzilla (NES) - Chidora MIDI ThaSauce link: Click here to submitThere are two sources. Remixing one of the sources is enough, but mixing both sources in one song is encouraged and will be rewarded with a first place bonus (three points). Chalis and Bundeslang can enter this round by remixing the source picked by the other and also can claim the bonus by mixing both sources in one song. They also can remix their own source as a bonus track. To submit a song at the compo page a ThaSauce account is required. If anyone has problems with registering or uploading the song to ThaSauce, please upload the song somewhere else and post a download link in the thread. Here are some possible answers: Name a compo: PRC Who organizes One Hour Compo: Starla Name a ThaSauce subdomain: compo.thasauce.net Who created Mega Mans: Capcom A confirmation mail will be send. There might be some issues with it (meaning that you don't get it), if that is the case, upload the song somewhere else as described above. PlanarianHugger
Megalovania! Yes! but what is that Godzilla midi?
Bundeslang
18 hours ago, PlanarianHugger said: Megalovania! Yes! but what is that Godzilla midi? The tempo is 10 times faster as the Megalovania source, making it difficult to mix both sources in one source. That's why I didn't want to pick it as a source when it's the only one. Ronald Poe
I get what you're saying ("Megalovania" is kinda slow for a boss theme). I'm planning on remixing "King Ghidorah" myself (although I'll have to transcribe and sequence it from scratch) with hints of "Megalovania" and original music thrown in for good measure. Bundeslang
I'm going for both sources. I managed to decrease the speed of Ghidora (or is is Chidora) 10 times so it fits with the Undertale source. At some points there might be some translation errors, but I try to minimize that. I won't be strict about the use of both sources, if the ratio is 80:20 that's fine for the bonus.
PlanarianHugger
Mine is mostly Megalovania with the the Godzilla source as background and counter melodies.
Bundeslang
My song is up. I did a sort of CMC (Conceptual Music Competition runned by Abadoss years ago) with these sources, although the Megalovania source has a different role as in the game. You can find the description at the ThaSauce page.
Bundeslang
I edited the Chidora midi a bit so that the speed is more 'normal', maybe it helps. http://www.freewebs.com/bundeslang/Chidora%20MID%20speeded.mid

Bundeslang
Welcome to the voting stage The mixing stage is over. This round has 6 songs and 1 bonus mix. The following people compete against each other this round: Bundeslang PlanarianHugger Xsquader vsvsvsvsvs RonaldPoe Supercoolmike NinjaPenguinDan (if anyone wants wants a different colour or picture, just let me know and post the picture / colour you want) And the bonus track is by: Chalis To vote, do the following: Visit the stated ThaSauce Page and listen to all the entries. Scroll to the form at the bottom of the screen. Fill in the entries from first to second. Leave the third box empty. Do not vote for Chalis State a reasoning for it. Participants are encouraged to vote and leave feedback. However, they may not vote for themselve, they only have to fill in the first box. They get a free first place if they vote, so it is doesn't matter for the result. Non participants are encouraged to vote to decide the winner and leave comments as well. Chalis has a vote that counts twice, as last rounds winner. Bundeslang's vote does not count twice since he entered the round. Always look in this thread to find out who's the winner of the round after the voting stage instead of only looking at ThaSauce for the results. You have until THIS Wednesday, May 4th 10:59 am ThaSauce time to vote. Results will be posted after the two minutes of silence on this Dutch 'Remembrance of the Dead' Day. Check the ThaSauce page for the exact time you have. The winner may choose the source tune for PRC322. Bundeslang
Only two votes so far, hopefully more people will vote in the last 9 hours to select a winner. EDIT: A little less than one hour left to vote. Things are interesting now, I will post a graph when I announce the results. The bonus for using both sources is for myself and PlanarianHugger
Bundeslang
Results Time The results are as follows. They are historic, since this never happened before.: Number of participants: 6 and 1 bonus mix. Number of votes: 5 The voting graph: Chalis did a great bonus mix. RonaldPoe did a good job, but got only two points and the last place wooden spoon Bundeslang and Xsquader tied for 4th place, with 8 points. They weren't far off. The winners are NinjaPenguinDan, PlanarianHugger and Supercoolmike with a score of 9 points. For the first time in history in PRC, we have three winners. PlanarianHugger and Bundeslang got a three points bonus, resulting in this small difference. It's good that Orlouge didn't vote Bundeslang 2nd and Xsquader 3rd otherwise there would have been 5 winners. This was a good round with 7 songs in total. RonaldPoe did a good job as well. But only three can win this time. NinjaPenguinDan, PlanarianHugger and Supercoolmike may select a source for the next round. Send the source to me (with a MID/MP3 file, otherwise send a second source with a MID file) by PM, other options are PM me @ ThaSauce or by e-mailing to bambombim@gmail.com (I prefer a PM @Ocremix). EDIT: They all will be used for the next round. Send your source as fast as you can, but before this Friday (6 May), 12:59 AM ThaSauce time. You may select any source for any game, but not a source with an OverClocked remix or a source which has been used in PRC before. An overview of the past PRC's can be found in the following links: http://sites.google.com/site/bambombim/prc http://bambombim.googlepages.com/PRCRemixList.doc (also downloadable via the link above). Check the ThaSauce Page for the results. timaeus222 and Eino Keskitalo
