the relllow dart Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Our school band is in dire need of some new pieces and I thought the tetris theme would be a great one. We aren't an orchestra just a concert band so only horns. And versions with string bass parts would be appreciated seeing as I play that and do not enjoy having to transpose the low notes from the tuba part to comply with my four string. Thanks. Quote
Pi_R_Squared Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Well, the tetris theme is actually a russian folk song, "Korobeiniki". Post back if you find anything, I'd be interested in it myself. [The Wikipedia page]. Quote
KWarp Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 It's very easy to make your own sheet music of the Tetris theme. I'll be brief: -Go to VGMusic.com and find a midi file of the tetris theme. -Import the midi file into a sheet music program. "Finale" does it, as well as the music program "Noteworthy Composer" (a free trial exists on their website, buy for $40). -When imported, the music will be there and technically correct, although not necessarily readable. Adjust your import settings and manually swap around notes as you please. Tetris in particular shouldn't have any issues outside of chords in parts. Quote
the relllow dart Posted February 17, 2007 Author Posted February 17, 2007 K thanks I'll try it but it may be complicated. What I'm looking for is an arrangement with the versions for all the instruments. I've searched Korobeiniki already and haven't found anything. Quote

entropicdecay Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 Well I got your balalaika covered! This is great. I lost this a couple years ago. Perfect because I have a balalaika. @ OP: Try searching for "The Peddler Song" or "Korobushka" Quote
