prophetik music
are there any classically trained vocalists out there, besides me and pixietricks? i'd assume there are, but i've never heard from any. mind you, i'm not referring to people who've had a year of training or something, i'm talking about people who've performed classical music on stage several times. just curious, because i need some singers for a mix i might do. thanks. dannthr
I have around 3 years of University level elective music solo voice training, which isn't much, but decent. I've performed on stage about 8 times for these classes. My range is baritonish or low tenor. My effective range is A below middle C to about D mid treble staff, at around E or F I have to break into falsetto. My full range, when well warmed, is probably about F below middle C to unknown falsetto heights--but I don't recommend giving me too much in falsetto. I'm not well trained up there. What kind of project are you putting together?
prophetik music
more details as more things come together. as much as anything else i was curious who else is a singer on ocr and has more training than shower 101.
Chickenwarlord
Hey Brad, I have a choral vocal training in the bass range. Unfortunately my mic sucks a lot.
Dafydd
I'm a choir bass, usually reaching down to D, sometimes all the way to A. Been taking classes about 5 hours a week for 10 years, performed (in a choir) in churches and on various stages. My favorite piece is probably Frank Martin's Mass. I'm not a very good solo vocalist though, but how many solo bass singers do you know of? I have decent recording equipment.
prophetik music
oh my WORD, martin's mass is one of the best pieces of choral music ever written! i LOVE that piece. we performed it on choir tour last year, and it was just incredible. Abadoss
I was originally a vocal performance major before I decided to drop the emphasis (required classes didn't work out) and stick with composition. Anyway, I've done a lot of solo work...
