bustatunez Posted December 29, 2007 Posted December 29, 2007 I just found this on youtube - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VR-ZaqvUWQ0 Teaser segment for a film I scored a year ago, about a frustrated video game reviewer who unwillingly becomes a detective in a case involving a famous game developer. I thought you guys would especially enjoy the intro sequence, it pays homage to classic Zelda games and I wrote some music that hearkens back to early eras of game music. (actually, as the nightmare goes on, the game music pastiches get older and older, from PSX to SNES to NES style.. but it's tough to hear with youtube putting everything in mono) Quote
Dyne Posted December 29, 2007 Posted December 29, 2007 This was very cool to watch. A bit slow during the part where the developer's wife and son come in, but otherwise, very enjoyable. Your music fit the mood of the movie as well. I think my favorite part was the dream Zara was having at the beginning, where she was in Ruto, at night, and everybody was an NPC. Quote
Blake Posted December 29, 2007 Posted December 29, 2007 This movie is impressive in terms of production value and direction. Good soundtrack. You should be proud Will. Quote
Tricklozen Posted December 29, 2007 Posted December 29, 2007 The first part felt like David Lynch to me. Well, I enjoyed this thing. Nicely executed, and pro work on the music. Quote
JH Sounds Posted December 29, 2007 Posted December 29, 2007 I read the thread title as "...scored by mel". ignore my post Quote
bustatunez Posted December 29, 2007 Author Posted December 29, 2007 Hey guys, glad you enjoyed it! I unearthed some mp3s of the game pastiche-music I wrote too, if you're interested - http://www.rogetmusic.com/Controls/early_PSX.mp3 http://www.rogetmusic.com/Controls/early_SNES.mp3 http://www.rogetmusic.com/Controls/early_NES.mp3 Quote
The Legendary Zoltan Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 That's great Busta! You amaze me man. Keep at it and you ought to be scoring Pirates of the Caribbean 4 in no time! Quote
