Lol, I was so confused when I clicked a Secret of Mana remix and heard DKC. I thought that OCR screwed up big time. Loving the combination of these two themes. It's clear there was a lot of effort to make these two themes sound like one rather than two different songs played at different times. It's not jarring, but at times it can sound like someone riffing. Not a bad thing though, there's always fun in people just riffing musically. Good work to all of you. Love it lots.

Mazedude definitely ain't lost his touch. The 16-bit funk is strong with this one. That arppegio played throughout is absolutely killer. The detuned instruments flow so well with the song. This might actually be the least weird Mazedude song I've heard in a while in terms of composition, but that doesn't hurt it at all. I wonder if this guy is doing indie game composition? He's got the musical and production chops for a big indie hit. Great work here. -

I'm loving the arrangement of this song. The tones you chose with your voice sound great, and the changeups throughout the song with your voice. You have a very similar voice to Tyler Joseph, actually. I wish the vocals were a little louder, though. I think you should really let the voice take control of the song. It's the best part of this all. I would layer it more at some parts (like 4:05) to give it more energy. But that issue may have even sounded fine if vocals were louder. Great job here. -

I think I've said this a lot on this website, but this is probably my favorite OCReMix on the site. I sometimes wish it had better mixing and possibly production compared to halc and ben briggs newest works, but I just always feel good when listening to this song. I know every single detail about this song and it's the reason I use chiptune in my songs to this day. Just so good. Definitely something everyone who frequents this site should listen to. -

Always liked this one. Such a great energy throughout the song, very uplifting and OA always delivers great drums for his songs. The piano is sugary sweet, the guitar is well played and arranged. Sounds like anime music which I love so two thumbs up. People should listen to this one. -
I love this song a lot. Played it on repeat quite a bit the last few weeks. This is a very good example how to sing video game melodies. Things are changed up in all the right places, but the melody is still there and recognizable. The autotune doesn't bother me at all, but I listen to a lot of rap with overly autotuned voices (sometimes even more so than this) so I'm just more accustomed to it. The dude's got bars, and that's all I really care about. And speaking of, the bars are great. Writing is very emotional and straight to the point. The tone in the voice is also on point, your emotions are coming through quite a bit. This is probably one of my favorite vocal remixes on the website, and for good reason: the execution is just great. A lot of more amateur singers try to hide any flaws behind the music (I'm guilty of this as well), but I like the confidence of this piece a lot. He keeps the voice in front, and lets the rest of instrumentation back him up, rather than letting things get too crowded. I love it.

I'm surprised I don't hear the original theme considering how much I played Skryim, but I like this song a lot. The tempo change was incredibly impressive, I'm still not confident enough to pull something like that off myself. I like your sound design a lot. You really distort those synths a lot, but the way you bring them in and out is absolutely perfect. It's arranged in a way that I wouldn't want to hear it any other way. Love the drum loop you brought in at the end. I like it when an artist switches up their sounds and you really bring a lot to the table in that regard. I was a really big fan of you're DKC2 Bramble's track and this one is a lot better IMO. You improved a lot, and if you're still making music I hope I can hear more from you in the future. You bring a lot of interesting ideas to the table musically, and know how to make me relaxed without being boring. It's a very interesting style! I can relax to your music, but it never feels like things drag on. Great job. Edit: I went to listen to the original for a second, I hear it now! Lmao. I'm surprised I forgot to easily.

i like how you combined these two themes quite a bit. its seamless, feels like one complete song rather than some attempts at mashing up sources which can sound inconsistent (im very guilty of this) i like the production on this quite a bit. that bass in particular feels really good and is well composed. the synths on top are very light and quirky at times, but they complement the dark energy of the track very well. very good job. i like this one a lot.

The percussive effects on this are really trippy and cool. Synth design is on point, and the arrangement ideas from the half point onward are awesome. The bass and melody are groovy together. Its a lavender town rave and i like it. Def dling -

Really cool drum effects throughout the whole thing. The tensions builds at just the right pace and i think it had a really strong finish. Will dl. -
