On the subject of "tip jar" releases for transformative works...

Nothing in our Submissions Agreement prohibits this, so you're good. With regard to the general question, here's my personal two cents: I think it's less effective BUT a bit more honest/direct to have the "Download" link be separate from the "Donate/Support" link, to make it explicitly clear that the music in question is being offered for free. My understanding of Bandcamp's policies is that you have X number of credits/points (or something like this?) before you can no longer offer music for free... this bothers me, as does using Bandcamp as a platform for free releases, because they're ultimately a for-profit company, they're motivated by $$$ (not a bad thing, just saying), and they don't seem like a great PERMANENT home for free releases because of these reasons. Nevertheless, they're easy, and they're popular...I just hate to think of a future years from now where people single-sourced their free stuff on Bandcamp and because of changed policies or expired accounts or running out of credits, it's no longer available.1 point -
Crisis Core - Final Fantasy 7 - Wings Of Freedom (Master Mi Remix)

That's true to an extent; if you pay closer attention to the faults in your audio systems, then in understanding the faults, you have a better idea of what is acceptable on the particular system based on the characteristics inherent in that system. In other words, with experience, you can make mixing decisions on any decent system. However, training your ears on a good system first is where I would start, rather than trying to mix on many systems early on. Personally, I would trust your headphones more than your speakers if you have not done much to your room, because your speaker output is mainly influenced by the treatment of your room acoustics. Your headphone experience is not influenced by that.1 point -
Scripters &/or programmers here ?

I don't personally think it was irrelevant. The discussion was about loops and efficiency, and the guessing game is a classic example of such, using something similar to a binary search algorithm. The connection could have been made more explicit, though. I also wouldn't say you'd "never" have a situation like this. First, again, it's very similar to a basic search algorithm; the logic is near-identical when you have a nonlinear but sorted data structure of some sort. Second, with encapsulation, sometimes one part of a program literally does not have access to data stored in another part, and has to go about learning it in an indirect method. I run into this sort of thing using APIs pretty frequently. Most examples in beginners' textbooks are indeed pretty useless in and of themselves. But they can teach concepts that can be used for other things.1 point -

Vampire Variations: Volume III - History

I did play through the first stage, just beat the first boss & began the second stage. Looks like it's full of exciting stuff, the whip mechanics are quite fun, lots of (vampire) variation in the levels, fun and impressive ideas (like the fence with gates, drawbridge, etc).. The music is indeed quite fantastic. Finally watched the intro too, and understood why there were these sound effects in our source tune1 point -

We can only hope so Never played the game myself, but I really liked working on the album. And hey, I got to remix Vampire Killer again, so my craving for nostalgia was definitely met1 point -

Oh, great, the expected date will be finally accomplished! (I did read before about possible troubles and delays) I actually played the game lots of times and it is one of my main favorites, but this is a very good time to play it again. CV4 never feels tired or repetitive. And this time I'll wait for halloween especially to get this awesome album! By the way: the previous two volumes are very great too, but I have some special feeling with CV4 and maybe this makes this last part even more special for me1 point -

Finally finished reading the HG101 book on Castlevania. Think I'll finally fire up and play SCIV as well. ..yeah. Never played it. I do remember reading a lot about it from possibly dubious gaming magazines and game guides, so I do have a little bit of roundabout nostalgic connection to the game, ha. Looking forward to Halloween :-[1 point -

I think you might have missed a 2 in Timaeus's username. But yeah, I don't think I got to be as overtly weird as I wanted to be. Maybe next time. Having a busy university schedule sucks yo.1 point -
