I don't know what worth it is to write here, but I want to add my support to Nutritious for best newcomer - I swear to God I don't think he's human. The man would need his own book of the Old Testament just to fully justify his position here. In all seriousness, I live in great envy of him. He's ten times the Ocremix newcomer and remixer than I could ever be and I need to show my support.

I can vouch for No More Heroes. Additionally, did anyone suggest Metroid Prime Trilogy? That's... what, THREE awesome Nintendo games for $14-$20 each? Not bad. Edit: Someone DID suggest Metroid Trilogy. Sorry, I just didn't see it. Don't forget there's a lot of games on VC and Wii Ware worth looking at too. They even have Super Mario RPG up there.

For 2010, I hope to: - Release this damn album already. You know its taken longer just to get all the shit together with it than it has to compose the damn thing? But soon, so blissfully soon it will be over and finished! - Install and learn to use my EW Bundle. - Finish the mixes I have for the projects I'm on. SD3, Wild Arms and Lufia. I have a mix to fix and maybe another one to do for SD3 while I need to fix up the other two I have (both are which in different states of flux). - Got a gig to remix a track for an alternative band up in Baltimore. Prize is rather large audience promotion and maybe some money. - Remix something for the Metroid orchestral project. - Pick another project - Either look for some more video game work or another album of video game tracks (that would require reworking, which I hate). - Get advice from Jeremy Soule and the Fatman. Get advice from my college counselor to see what I can do with this skill. I think thats it right now. I WAY overdid myself this year and I really need to tone it down for the next (trying to do a book project too - that shit's almost impossible).

I don't see what Kelis has to do with video games being more cinematic, but if a lot of people enjoyed it and still enjoy it to this day (and sadly, I think that is still the case), then no, it really wasn't that bad. I don't understand objectives in something as subjective as art anyway.

This is nothing new. People were saying this back in 1997 with FFVII. I don't how it could not evolve this way, personally. It seems only natural to me that with the evolution of games into much deeper territories of story and emotional appeal comes the inevitable stylistic synchronizing with movie standards. I think it'd be worse if games didn't take this approach, since it would present the much bigger problem that games are not evolving or going anywhere, not to mention less incentive to score a better budget for building or the incentive to try and make sure the gameplay matches up with the movies (clearly this isn't always the case, but I'd argue it at least produces the incentive). Its just like everything else - Some people like it, some people don't. If you don't like it, there's a wealth of entertainment from the shareware communities, older generations of games and much smaller projects. Show some love over there. But a lot of other people seem to like it and spend money on it, so it can't be that bad.

This and more. Look for ANYTHING you can do music for. Build some songs for a youtube page that don't have any other purpose BUT to show off your skill. I've had some really interesting requests come from all that and anything you do is potentially worthwhile. Its not an absolute, but its a lot better than nothing.

Do you have Kontakt? Groove Bias, which Zircon works on, did a pretty good drum kit and I think its around $100 last time I checked.

Do you suppose it would work to install the discs onto a seperate hard drive in addition to this one and sell the discs from there? Its not like a problem or anything, It just drives me nuts when companies do very pointless and weird gestures like this.

It does sound a little stiff and blocked off and/or missing something, but this isn't that bad. I was expecting worse. I'm not sure what you'd need to do to fix it without actually being able to work on it, but its not a bad start by any means.

Cost me $40. I was thinking of selling it for $100 or $110 as is. I need to make sure they actually gave me that copy though, I didn't actually see the disk yet. EDIT: What the fuck... its a GOLD/SILVER installer? What the hell kind of sense does that make? The first two disks install GOLD/SILVER, then the last three finish GOLD? What the hell kind of purpose does that serve when they give me two authorization codes? Can I still sell it that way?

So I just put the disk on sale here and say (does not come with dongle) and supply a link? Is that it?
