  1. Works on my end. I need to upgrade to a faster broadband. I know it's stupid to complain, but 2 hrs to dl the torrent (minus the flac files) seems achingly long. Or I just need to learn to properly forward my ports, or something...
  2. Found a copy on amazon for $12, so I ordered it. Been too long since I plugged in the SNES. New SNES game en route, new album to be released. It's a scotch night. Slainte mhor!
  3. All this has me thinking about buying DKC2 for SNES. How does it compare to DKC1?

  5. http://www.joystiq.com/2010/03/07/little-kings-story-hotel-dusk-developer-cing-files-for-bankrup/ Damn, say it ain't so! I loved Hotel Dusk and have waited and wished for a sequel, or at least another game in the game's sketched, film noir style. the story was intricate and the art was awesome. I hope they can get Last Window (the HD sequel) localized.
  6. I'm the only person manning the store today, so what very few customers come through the door shall be serenaded by Kong in Concert, as I am pumping OCR through the store speakers.
  7. It took me five tries to launch Portal via Steam. I'm guessing a lot of people are getting the update.
  8. A medical warning...listening to OCAD while suffering from an upper respiratory infecting may cause fits of heavy coughing induced by heavy laughter.
  9. Please remove the Evangelion DVD's, they've been sold. Thanks!
  10. SALE: [DVD/Anime] I'm putting up for sale my entire collection of Neon Genesis Evangelion DVD's. These are the original ADV releases from between 1999 and 2001, episodes 1 - 26 (disks 1 - . All the disks are in like new condition, and the cases only show very minor shelf wear. Including shipping to the Lower 48 via USPS Flat Rate Box, I'm asking $20.
  11. A random shot I took this afternoon of a sniffer of Laphroiag 10 Year Scotch.
  12. I finally went and got a small camera. I love my SX10, but it's hardly convenient to just have with me when I'm about. If I'm planning on shooting photos, it's great, but I just never have it with me, so I decided to get a point-and-shoot. After much debate and playing with cameras at work, I settled upon the Sony DSC-WX1. I love the 10 shots per second (at full res), the hand held twilight more, and three-stop auto bracketing. The auto white balance is average, but the custom white balance is spot on, even at night in my room with mixed very yellow incandescent and green fluorescent. The 720p video mode is also pretty impressive, and the 5x optical zoom while shooting movies is a nice plus. The ISO range is not as broad as I should ideally like (160 to 3200), but it's enough to cover 90% of me needs. I also sacrificed one thing I would have liked...a dedicated macro mode, but the Intelligent Auto mode does a good job of switching to macro when needed. And I still have my SX10 for doing some killer macro. Is it the best camera I could have gotten? No, but the best camera is the one you have with you, and this is a lot easier to carry about than a biggish super zoom camera. MY final determination to get this camera? Sale price + Employee Discount + Sony Associate Purchase Program = drop in final price from $339 to about $130...BOOYEAH! Now I just need a DLSR...
  13. You LIEEEE! [/random accusational outburst in the spirit of the podcast]
  14. Garrison Keillor's "The Writer's Almanac," reading "A Man Alone" by Steve Orlen
  15. Wow, the first 30 seconds are a bit insanifying when you listen to it on headphones. All and all I dig it, it's like a taste of OCR past.
  16. The PokeMon cards have been sold. The Irish whistles and free Nintendo Power mags are still up for grabs.
  17. YES! On iTunes, finally! Now I don't have to download it manually...like a looser!
  18. Tranchida Wine, by E Muzeki A bit of desert gypsy music to start off the day.
  19. I'm trying to pare down my physical possessions a bit lately, so I'm offering up for sale four of my Irish Whistles as a single lot. They'd be great for adding a bit of a folksy sound to a remix! Clarke D (painted black, originally had gold accents, most of which has been rubbed off) Clarke C (unpainted and has a bit of rust beginning to form, but it's easily removed.) Clare D (nickel body with red fipple. I've tweaked it a bit with putty in the fipple) Walton D (also tweaked with putty in the fipple.) I'm asking $25 for all four, which includes shipping to the lower 48. I am willing to ship internationally, though I'd have to calculate extra postage.
