  1. I just finished reading Blackest Night...oh my god, SO GOOD... Also, I've got Brightest Day, plus all of it's associated comics set up on my list over at the local comic shop. I can't wait for pay day...
  2. Awesome! This project is going to kick some serious tail. I'm looking forward to seeing it brought to fruition!
  3. Man, this takes me so far back. Back to a time when I was a kid and all we had was vinyl and tapes. And we were just getting out of the 8-track phase of audio listening. This is epic sir, quite epic!
  4. Hey everyone, just wanted to continue the effort to bump this thread, and remind everyone that if you haven't submitted a WIP for Maverick Rising, to please do so by this coming Friday. It's the first deadline, and we'd like to get an idea where you're at with your work! Thanks!
  5. What an interesting and well thought out project this is. I'm looking forward to hearing the results.
  6. ...you're gonna diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiie!!!!! Okay, maybe not, but some GNR right now sounds good. Also what Bahamut and Gollgagh said.
  7. Happy birthday Mr. Man, Mr. Snapple Man. And many more good stuffs for you!
  8. I like that rotation a lot. A lot of variety. Now some might not like Double Cross but more so 2Fort, so I maybe there should be a list of monthly rotation maps which come in every other month, or every other week as is seen fit. Playing 2Fort once in a while isn't bad. Every single rotation though, that's madness. I say go for it.
  9. If it's as good as it looks from that trailer, I'll gladly go see it opening day.
  10. This makes me sad, I really liked his music.
  11. Sephfire? Who's that? Sum n00b? Naaaaaah, much love man, happy birthday!
  12. This doesn't really bode too well for anyone involved with Activision. As the saying goes, "shit runs downstream". You can expect anything that happens to Activision will impact the rest of the units it currently has under it. Be wary.
  13. If what's in their contract is true, and Activision is found guilty of firing them under false pretenses, those devs could end up a boat load richer. I really hate seeing things like this happen. I'm sure there's another side to the story yet, but until that becomes available for all of us to read, anything we say about what's happening one way or another is just based on what's out there. I always figured though that if any game company did something like this, it would end up being EA after that shitstorm from a few years ago, I figured they hadn't quite hit bottom of the barrel yet. I stand corrected on that.
  14. I've played some, it's an awesome game. If you haven't tried it out yet, you should! It's a lot of fun, and as someone who's had plenty of time logged in multiple TCGs (sometimes 2 or 3 at once) it was intuitive for me. The RTS part of the game is simple and elegant, and the graphics are top notch. You guys have got to get in on this!
  15. zircon, talk to me via Facebook. I have a proposition for you. Scratch that, message incoming.
  16. Actually, I wanted to address things like these in the group. I think there are specific things that people want to accomplish in their own way, with their own means and instruments and what not. And each of us brings something to the table that others would like to learn. That said, I'm going to make the group, and set up some discussion within it, and get the ball rolling. There's so many sites and technical things we can look at and use that we might end up going overboard if we're not careful. I want to take things one step at a time, as it's easier that way, and that we don't end up disbanding the group after a certain amount of time. I will have the group up by tomorrow as I'm starting to wear out for the night. Until then, rest easy and know that all will be addressed soon enough.
  17. Well, I guess that's out. Back to learning on my own.
  18. Berklee Online is pretty much just as awesome as going to actual Berklee, except well, it's online and you can do it from anywhere. I've thought about taking classes through them, but I was never really sure if I could make the cut, or if there were any pre-requisites to taking courses at the online school. I actually have questions about it myself, maybe some current students (hint hint), could help out please! Primarily I just wanted to know if I had to have a music background just to enroll, or if I could enroll as an absolute beginner to take their theory courses, or their guitar course.
  19. If it were me, I wouldn't necessarily merge the two forums (Reason and FL Studio), however if I absolutely had to so as to make it easier to navigate, I would just merge to a main forum for hardware and software. So it could still be under Workshop, but be called something else, and still have the same effect for people seeking answers to questions they have for a multitude of hardware and software applications as pertains to audio creation. In other words: Gear and DAW Forum. To describe it: "forum for the discussion of audio hardware, software and related topics".
  20. So I guess for the time being I'm going to make some use of the visitor messages area. At least until blogs happen (hopefully sometime soon!). So yeah, if you haven't yet, check out my forum thread "Forming a Musicians Group".

  21. I like this! I'm going to look at the site momentarily, but my big question/concern is, is it secure so that we don't have to worry about being hacked by anyone that isn't involved with what we're doing? Edit I just answered my own question, as well as edited the first post quoting Pez, and adding some more content.
  22. I want to note, that this is open to everyone. And, by proxy, it's open to all forms of music making, not just instrument playing musicians. Doesn't matter if you use defaults in FL Studio, or rock the guitar or mandolin or anything in between. You are most definitely welcome!
  23. Didn't even know about NINJAM. Sounds like an interesting concept. Something that could worked in somehow. I'm opened to any avenue that promotes the collective creativity of all involved, and helps everyone learn more than they previously knew going into the group. That said, I'm going to wait until Friday. On Friday, I'm going to create a Facebook group for the purpose of collective learning. Between now and then, I hope that I get more input from the community. And by the way, this isn't open to just established members of the community, ReMixers, musicians in general. It's open to the larger community; listeners, hobbyists, etc... My hope is that it grows beyond the scope of what it's intended to be and takes on a life of it's own. But hey, I'm just thinking big.
