  1. Hmmm. Kamoh, in week 4, are you giving me credit for 2 wins against Margoute? You've got the right number of total possible points (76), but I'm missing a win over Margoute on the board - it may just be notation or whatever, since I don't know why you'd put a single game in just the right column, savvy? Thanks for the consideration.
  2. ^ how'd he post the lists so fast? Anyways, yes, we pwned each other as White, for whatever reason; I guess our respective Black defenses suck. Anyways, they were fun. Rainman DX vs. Fire, 1-1.
  3. I manage to twist and bend the rules once again in my favor, basically playing for a draw. (Bahamut would agree.) Rainman DX vs. Bahamut, 1/2 - 1/2. Again.
  4. Bahamut and I split one. He'll post the move list. Rainman DX vs. Bahamut, 1/2 - 1/2.
  5. Thanks for the updates, Kamoh. So just a note of clarification - does the score changing from the former post to the latter post imply that every week we drop our previous fourth-week's record? I wasn't aware we were doing that. If that's the case, that's fine, but are we keeping track of cumulative totals as well? I just want to know what to expect in the future, I guess. P.S. How is Bahamut leading?? You mean Keegan? Or did you start accounting negative points for losses again?
  6. So we need to move to playchess.com. It's really simple.
  7. Mkay, all done for this week. Rainman DX vs. Margoute, 1-0.
  8. He's saying you're not scheduled to play Bahamut this week, but Clef. Your two optional matches are apparently against grayfox, but not Bahamut.
  9. ... and that`s a win and a draw against Snerrak. Not a draw and a loss. For me.
  10. If I were to describe those games to a third party, the words "stomping," "balls," and "my" would enter the discussion pretty early on. Excellent playing. ;Title: Yahoo! Yeah, Keegan's got a finesse about him - I notice that most of my tight games last more moves than these two combined...
  11. Okay, amidst Yahoo! struggles galore (I swear we should just mozey on over to playchess.com full time), I managed to squeak out a win and a draw with Snerrak. He plays a mean game, no doubt - had me playing my absolute best against him. Rainman DX vs. Snerrak, 1 1/2-1/2. Just one more game with Margoute to go, and I'll be done this week.
  12. Teh GIMP 4tW. Okay, got half my week's quota done today. (And by today, I mean tomorrow... this morning... last night... whatever day it is...) Rainman DX vs. Setz, 1 1/2-1/2. Rainman DX vs. Margoute, 1-0. Thanks again for the pleasant games, you two.
  13. Let's see... that would be... ks_sox_fan? Amirite? Hmm... Gosh, this is tricky. Do I choose Georgia Tech's White & Gold? Or my alma mater's White & Blue? Or my sig's Red & Blue? So hard... Got it. Yellow Jackets' Gold & Black, or closest equivalent. Thank you. EDIT #1: By the way, I think it's no coincidence that Margoute has a dead-even score with moi, but in half the games played. She's really upped her performance from back when she joined OCR, and I'm sure she'd agree. Keep it up, Margo! The Clef's the limit! EDIT #2: Here's a badge idea. I can crank out the others no problem when I have some time, if you like it. EDIT #3: Oh, and KAMOH! (is that like, "SHAFT!" or something?) don't forget to change the subject on the thread...
  14. Okay, no no no, bad, bad Kamoh! Please understand that you just ennumerated 4 awards for the same stat - wins. Which means on any given week, one person wins the first three (*coughchokeJDcoughgag) and then on special weeks, one person wins all four. This is dumb. Award #1: Most wins for the week (with an added bonus if that player went 100% that week, and played all scheduled games). Award #2: Most improved player has the highest differential of wins this week minus wins last week, divided by total games played. Award #3: Dark Horse winner is the lowest ranked player that week to have at least 1 win against a player in the top 5 (3?) (2?) of that week. Award #4: The anti-award is given to the person with the lowest differential (presumably large negative number) using the same stat as Award #2, or Biggest Fall Award. There. Now that I went to all that trouble, Kamoh won't use 'em. Oh, uh, the All-Star idea seems pretty shiny to me, though.
  15. Pillaged and plundered two ThirdMatch wins from ksSoxFan. Rainman DX vs. ks_sox_fan, 2-0. EDIT: It just occurred to me that, far be it from my pairs of losses to Keegan and Johnderrill hurting me in the league standings, all it did was serve to make the gap between us larger. I guess it's not quite like the weekly BCS standings... I don't even know what it was I was expecting, I guess. Oh, and what's the deal with Johnderrilll still being undefeated? Would someone please do something about that? I sure tried... I think he would say it's because he's been studying lately, and frankly I would believe him. I'm just gonna have to get in on some of that action.
  16. Two things: A) I don't think you have Snerrak's correct IM address entered on the pic, Kamoh. I believe it's "snerraksobession" rather than "snerraksobsession." Would you double-check for me? Thanks. Who wants to play a third match this week? My choice, Setz, is already taken. So who can pick up the slack?
  17. Uh huh, you guessed it: another rousing rendition of... Rainman's ego is shot to hell! I think I can feel my fingers tingling I'm so depressed... Rainman DX vs. KeeganTheFox, 0-2. Rainman DX vs. JohnDerrilll, 0-2. Oh, and, uh, post #600.
  18. I vote nay. Let's not have a grammatically incorrect banner just because that's how you've been saying it for awhile. I know lots of people that have been writing for awhile without the use of commas, but that's not a tradition I want to support. I'm with Dama on this. The official abbreviation is definitely "OCRCL", which stands for "OverClocked ReMix Chess League." Not OverClocked Chess League. EDIT: Aaugghhhh! I have to play JD and Keegan! Happy Halloween to me!
  19. Gee, fH, I really like the first one - slightly darker, more defined... The second one is too washed out. Just add the border from the second one to the first one, and you've got it, I think! Looks really good. Too bad you didn't stick with the "OverClicked" - I liked it!
