  1. Sweet. Now I have another game to look forward too!
  2. I'm broke. How's Space Harrier with 350 controller?
  3. I love Larry Oji. In other, not related, news.. are you going to be able to acces remixer profile and such from the forum profile of a remixer? it works the other way around but I want both
  4. Battle Fantasia gets EU release in a few days, when I pick it up I will def hook you up to get owned
  5. Effective arrangement. Not taking as many liberties as I think you're capable of but what's here is very good. I would've loved another minute with some faster-paced more daring takes on the theme but you can't get it all I've got to agree with Larry on the production though. My biggest hang-up with this track is that it could definitely sound less distant. Even the synths sound drenched in a huge hall reverb. However it comes with the genre (I hereby dub this an orchestral work by the way) and I think the arrangement outweighs this, even if it's a close one. Good work. YES(borderline)
  6. God, I LOVE the gameboy rendition of the overworld theme. It's sex. I'm with Larry all the way here, there should definitely have been some more interpretive source usage and variation. You have a good basic idea but the execution is lacking. I really enjoyed some of the different variations that Larry pooped on though. Even if it is boom-tiss and amen break they were pulled off well and worked as a "break" of some sort. The sounds are a bit on the simple sound but above that they're mixed a bit awkward with the saw taking up ALL the space in the mix and the melody struggling to be heard. Compressions seems a bit hard too. Overall good fun but needs to be more developed in terms of arrangement and general quality of the production. Keep it up though! NO
  7. I thought this was pretty damn cool. Some fresh ideas when it comes to sounds. However these often gets lost in a LOT of distortion that takes away more from the overall sound than it adds. The combination of the soft sinewav-based sound, the pad and the much harsher drums needs some work to sound cohesive. Now the drums are drowning the other elements out because of the distortion and the added high frequencies that brings I don't think any of the textures sound empty per say but they could definitely use gluing together. Another whack at the mixing is pretty much mandatory because everything sounds very unbalanced. Overall though, I really enjoyed your choice of sounds. The arrangement is a start. I thought the variations made to the source were minor but effective. However I think you should vary things up in how you arrange the source, maybe add an original passage or evolve the chord structure. It seems to me like the sounds are supposed to carry this track but I urge you to go deeper and flesh out the arrangement too. Overall I enjoyed this but it needs some polish before it's accepted. I don't think it's a lot of polish but it's polish nonetheless. Good luck and I hope to see a resub! NO(resub)
  8. Go wild and while you're at it, get the oh-so-short Artoon soundtrack from www.okgamescompany.com for some generic untss! Thanks for the support.
  9. Make an RPG and pay me to compose the soundtrack and THERE it is Jayson: nice to see you coming here and expressing your thoughts. I'm still on the fence wether this was a good idea or not. My main thoughts are the same as yours but if OCR ends up hosting free legal VGM OSTs it might move here.. We'll see what happens, let's just avoid drama
  10. I'm picking up the collector's edition SFIV on Friday together with a SFIV shirt (the store was giving them away to anyone who dared challenge their best player wtf!?) Add Anosou and I'll be humiliated in SFIV whenever I'm in the mood.. I suck hard
  11. Hard refresh (shift+command+R on Mac firefox) did it, thanks guys.
  12. Would love to have the "remixes" tab back eventually, I used that a lot. Also, is the User CP, FAQs etc buttons supposed to be just orange text on white background? It's ugly and I miss the tabs :3 Screenshot: System: Mac OS X 10.4.11 with Firefox 3.0.6
  13. Since I never owned a Sega console ever, this is definitely on my to-buy list. I don't mind the smudged graphics but I'm pretty sure they can be turned off?
  14. re: Perfect Match From what I've heard no one has enjoyed it yet Still, the soundtrack is awesome (true story) and it was a blast to work with Onion Factory so I ain't complaining
  15. Just noticed: clicking for example Theory of Nonexistance on the frontpage (Previously on OCR) leads to the old link and 404's.
  16. In other words: it's a freaking awesome game well worth the low low price it's going for nowadays!
  17. The production is overall ok. It's quite a dull soundscape but the instrument samples make it over the bar. The big thing I see lacking in this area is the mixing itself, could definitely sound fuller and more crisp. The arrangement was a good idea, like Larry I enjoyed the combination of the two sources. However, also like Larry, I think you could've developed it more. There was a lot of repeating of ideas when you could've move the piece in another direction. It's almost 4 minutes long so more variation is key to make it less repetitive and a more interesting arrangement. I'm with Larry all the way here, more variation and developement. Keep it up! NO
  18. I understand and respect that. I'm sorry for not thinking about forum rules, links to illegal material is.. well illegal. Even though this was a direct link to only the post containing my soundtrack, I see how it's sensitive. Hosting individual soundtracks would probably use up a lot of bandwidth (especially if more remixers get hooked up) so I kindly decline for now.
  19. Bumped. Just got hosted on [REMOVED]. A controversial decision, sure, but I'm just trying to promote free legal soundtracks to a crowd that is sure to appreciate it. I truly hope other composers will try their hardest to release the soundtracks for free (I mean we got payed for the gig, right? ). If you support CD releases and all that jazz (which I do to an extent, and often buy) that's no problem. I just want to give everyone some free music. ..rant short version: luv u, free legal vgm for all!
  20. If you read the post you'd realize I'm not looking for games but for various items related to the games All games I've put up on WANT are marked with (PAL) Also, you forgot ] in the first post so there's no redirect link to my post :3 fix plz? luv u.
  21. That's pretty much what I was getting at, much love. BUT HOW MUCH LOVE? Pretty much as it turns out.
  22. Haven't tried it but impressions from reviews has been mixed. Try the demo and see for yourself, at least you can enjoy the soundtrack even if it's not your cup of tea
  23. Cool, thanks a lot I'll tell Oscar, the developer, about this too. If you want an interview I can hook you up! I sincerely wish it was. Goddamnit, I wish it was.
