  1. I hate that I haven't found a good version of R-Type 3 for console.. I have R-Type Delta, R-Type Final and soon, R-types but there's a gaping hole for Leo!
  2. I must say, this looks promising in the hands of Dave. I'm still looking forward to OCR blogs the most but man, vBulletin is sturdy.
  3. QFE BUT WITH MY MIXES, please? Also, post high-res img of only the "it'sdifficulttostand" thingy, not the actual shirt. kthxbye.
  4. It does indeed, keep it up man because you can't deny a good vocal track and funny vocals is always good in my book!
  5. We would laugh, hard But if you do this good it would be better
  6. I voted high VBR mp3 really. Lossless sets a good standard regardless of format, although I think .wav will appeal to a larger audience.. especially outside US/Europe, i.e. japan. Still, I think a high VBR'd mp3 will do it since I doubt many will be listening to this at a high-end stereo system with a high-end soundcard. So yeah, I'm with Jimmy through and through.
  7. I missunderstood here, I thought you were just arguing against .wav and therefore I argued for .wav :/ sorry
  8. 192kbps MP3 + Lossless or 320kbps VBR MP3 Much like flac but much MUCH moreso, a high-end connection and bittorrent is now standard at pretty much all computers. In all good torrent clients you can choose NOT to download the .wavs and if you do want lossless you can just wait for a while.. it's not a big deal :/
  9. Yeah but parallels is kinda not fun. I might dual-boot eventually but it's a hassle, I don't like hassles :3 QFE, Panzer Dragoon Orta and REZ are shmup-prime. Go play 'em! Yeah Tempest is something.. clones are often good too! Still, I think Space Giraffe goes miles beyond that because of Jeff Minter's eye for great gameplay elements. Space Giraffe is a bitch to understand but heaven when you do!
  10. I've always sucked horribly at SF but I'll get it anyway to support us, just like you should get http://www.ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=19534 to support me! /threadhijack
  11. truth. in other news I'm getting Dragon Blaze for PS2 by Psikyo in the mail tomorrow. That's a good game :3 And I placed an order for Sol Divide even though it's not nearly as good.. Most of all I'm longing for my new TV so I can start playing R-Type Final and R-Type Delta for REAL.
  12. damn you PC users.. I'm secretly hoping someone will buy a license and release all Touhou Games together for like X360 or PS2 :/
  13. OK Games just got an e-mail from someone who bought the game, I quote: "The music by Mr. Gerdt really drew me in to the experience" :3
  14. not the same, the tracks from BotA are reworked and coupled with a bunch of new ones so it's not identical at all. This one's much better >
  15. got a hold of a bunch of games, delete this from the WANT: PSX: Star Ocean: the Second Story Vib Ribbon PS2: Dragon Blaze XII Stag thanks
  16. I'm on this soundtrack! Bet you didn't know THAT! Nobody will hear my contribution though, it's the credits theme oh ok.. it's the "here comes a new challenger" jingle too but don't tell anyone I wish the reviewers paid some more attention to the music though :/
  17. I'm tossing in my final render soon, I haven't forgotten about you!
  18. u smell! Nice work adding the sources though, saw it In other, related, news: when a soundtrack is composed by a bunch of composers but they did different songs, should the source be assigned to the composer who did the track or everyone featured on the album? At the moment, for example, my shadow hearts mix has the track assigned to the whole bunch of composers while it was only Yoshitaka Hirota who did the track(s). Also regarding that, I had two sources on that one. Add "Death is the Great Leveller" Now, proceed to hating me ;*
  19. You can expect some minimal techno, serious left-field electronica and more industrial with ethno vibes on a front-page near you soon enough
  20. Yeah it's really short.. But it felt cheap to repeat the tracks to make them longer this is how they appear in the game and since it's a free easy release, this is how you're getting them! Glad you enjoyed it, look forward to my soundtrack to an upcoming XNA-release, codename TPM, by Onion Factory Games. Should be up in mid-december and hopefully feature a (longer) free album release too! no promises though.
  21. absolutely, it's a commercial game with music made exclusively for it so it's A-OK. Go wild! I'd love to see some Artoon-remixes up here.
  22. The strings are still not very pretty, too long release, too loud and wide. No dealbreaker though. What IS a dealbreaker is that the mixing still needs work. It's very loud, the drums have a LOT of high frequencies in the hi-hats and snare that kinda hurts your ears. Interesting is that the snare sounds wide and chorused, not a bad thing but certainly makes the track lose a bit of focus. Same with the hard vocal sounds like S and T. Overall, this is loud.. Also ending needs to fade out properly, always check your reverbtail! Overall, it's just too loud! The arrangement is good enough but the production still needs improvement. #ocrwip and WIP-forums are your friend. Sorry, man. NO(resubmit)
