  1. as expected from will, we have another nostalgic yet expansive arrangement with killer synth soloing, but this track really kicks it up a notch with some great chopped percussion and some very quality synths with a lo-fi edge. i'm especially loving that first lead (it still reminds me of fragments of gold). awesome harmony at :56. pretty solid production all around. too much to like - i'm honestly pretty in love with this track. really solid stuff by will.
  2. Yeah, you do.

  5. wouldn't that still only make eight thumbs including your own? unless will has nine thumbs, which i suppose is possible, but not probable.
  6. thanks K.B., your reviews always make me happy also.. HOW ON EARTH DlD YOU FIND ME??
  7. all this talk of proto-orgies is making me sweaty
  8. sounds awesome, i'm very excited to hear it! anyway, a little project update: there will be no bonus tracks, but i just had to open up another spot for GaMeBoX. that said, (and this is just a concept, but) this album is sort of going to play out in 'acts' - 'act 1' consisting of the opening, Green Hill and Marble; 'act 2' being Spring Yard, Labyrinth and Starlight; and 'act 3' being Scrap Brain, Robotnik and Final Zone, then closing out with the credits medley. the special stage theme will act as a motif of sorts, with a special stage remix between each act (since there's two special stages in each zone ). several other remixes also feature cameos of the special stage theme. anyway, things are sounding pretty awesome so far, and i hope to have a preview ready for everyone in April!
  9. r u sure dood?? i gots sum killer presets srsly wit ur durmloops we can mak a rly good song plz plz!!?!1

  10. the fade-in on song of healing threw me off at first, i was like 'this is REALLY quiet!' XD the eq makes everything sound pretty dry - the high frequencies on the lead guitar are pretty piercing at full volume. the bass and kick are weak and don't really support the low end of the mix. cheza's song sounds much more balanced, though the growls/ambiance that come in about halfway through are pretty buried and make it sounds muddy - maybe bring those forward a bit. and yeah, a better mic would probably help. i don't know anything about recording audio though hope this helps!
  11. heya, thanks! glad you liked my GRMB entry :D

unfortunately i have a lot of other mixes on my plate taking precedence (otherwise i would have participated in the revenge bracket), and i don't really have any plans to develop the piece further.. but again, i am glad you liked it, and i hope you enjoy my upcoming works as well!

  15. ocgaymix lol

  16. yay i can't use a tracker either the production is a little whack but it's pretty catchy. turn it down some and drop your mids/highs, listening above 70% volume breaks my ears and bleeds my head otherwise fun shtuff
  17. wow, source tune is epically awesome. i am finding it a bit difficult to pick up on here at first (i caught on at 'take me home'), but i think it's fine as you still have plenty of source to explore. in agreement with bluelighter about the (sampled wind instrument of some sort?) 2/3 the way in, it has a great effect on the mood of the piece. vocals are hit and miss atm, but i trust that they will be improved in future versions. i really like the feel you have going with this so far, keep it up! are you planning on adding some percussion or more background?
  18. u kno wher i can get sum durmloops i looking 4 one liek techno kind plz i need it 4 a song i want get on ths site lol thx

  19. i herd u got fl stdio can u teach me how use it i wana get a song to ths site lol

  20. glad you guys are enjoying it, and thanks for the comments! personally, it makes me sick. all the cutesy stuff is completely unintentional and i find myself utterly destroyed and disgusted by the result. well okay, not really. i embrace it ever-so-happily, but i can make non-cute things too. there's just not any on here yet
  21. this has some pretty good moments, but it's underpowered - there's a fair amount of headroom for volume, and the soundscape is a little empty at times. also the mix seems slightly 'squeezed' into the higher frequencies - nothing piercing, but it could use some more low-end. the placement of that melodic synth at :45 seems a bit awkward to me; i'd suggest adding an inverted delay, or centering it and adding some stereo spread. drums could use some more punch, and the rhythms more variation - they get a little repetitive (moreso during the first half). cool down-tempo take on the source - has an eerier, more discordant feel than the original, with some nice embellishments and variations, but the builds are a bit weak and the synths are kinda generic. liking the bit at 1:45, and the break from 2:22-2:51. cool stuff. anyway, hope this has helped. keep it up!
