  1. i actually beat him once, pulled off all 8 hits before he escaped also, two finished tracks today!
  2. all you labyrinth zone haters are wimps
  3. the drums sound much better, and the new sections are pretty awesome. keep it up, this is getting there
  4. haha, in all honesty, you might be added the link to first post as well.
  5. there's a carnival night remix on Project Chaos (Hadyn's 'Three Ring Nightfall'), and personally it's one of my favorite tracks from it unfortunate that it does not have a place on the main site - regardless, the whole album is pretty great and i highly recommend you check it out!
  6. http://ocremix.org/forums/member.php?u=32962 links in sig
  7. no problem, glad the feedback helped! just pointing out some of the things the judges are probably gonna get you for
  8. i know it's not my place.. but as a fan, even i feel insulted after reading that :/
  9. lots of neat stuff going on in here. the arrangment is fun but starts getting a little repetitive about halfway through. the biggest issue you have here is the mechanical piano sequencing - try editing the timing and velocities of individual notes to give it a more humanistic feel. your instruments here are a little on the vanilla side, kinda as if they came out of a keyboard soundbank, which is fine, but they lack personality. try playing with your FX and sample settings a bit more and you will come up with some unique sounds. the mixing, while pretty clear, is a little harsh. i had to drop my volume a couple notches for this. anyway, good work for a first remix! if you've already subbed this, be aware that you're in for a bit of a wait, and (not to be too direct here but) i would expect a resubmit. you definitely have the musical chops, just need to beef up those samples a bit and work on humanizing that piano. oh, fixed the thread title for ya too
  10. apologies, i used the 'final wip' link in the first post but i guess it's not current good improvements in v6, best of luck all the same!
  11. this is sounding pretty good, but i'm a little bothered by the choir and the acoustic guitar samples, and the oboe at the beginning seems a little distant as well. i don't have much for critique here (better samples never hurt), but as is I think you've got a decent shot with this on the panel. good luck!
  12. not too familiar with FF5 or it's music, but this is really well done, very expressive and dynamic. some of the melodic 'lead' instruments are slightly overbearing at times, but otherwise this is solid. great work!
  13. alright everyone, be sure to check out the latest OCAD (episode 16) for a sneak preview!
  14. sega genesis <3 very well done. i enjoyed this a lot
  15. yeah, the intro is actually the same intro from the source version, sampled, reversed, and blown to all hell with effects i'll see if i can upload a new version soon. we've been working on it, but the project files are on ben's computer and i don't have an up-to-date mp3 at the moment.
  16. i've let my game sit in battle for well over an hour with no controller input and without ever being attacked. i don't have the game anymore to verfiy this, but i'm about 99.9% positive there is no ATB option in FFX. /ot
  17. http://ocremix.org/forums/member.php?u=32842 left a bunch of spam posts in workshop and remix/album reviews
  18. loving the percussion. very detailed, your best posted mix to date imo awesome work, keep them coming!
  19. wow, this has come quite a ways since the original version i heard. i agree with emu, once you're finished you should give it a shot on the panel. best of luck!
