Sonic and Knuckles: "Into the Lava Reefs"
electric concerto replied to The_Claudia's topic in Post Your Game ReMixes!
Wow... I'm biting my tongue... I agree with Blackwinged Saron on sound quality... To be frank, it's too..... boring? It's like you introduced all the instruments at once and kept them going the entire track... There isn't any dynamics going on, which is very crucial in this style of music... These are my opinions, hope you can make use of them -
Banjo-Tooie: 'Gruntie's Industries'
electric concerto replied to Amesuki's topic in Post Your Game ReMixes!
Exciting, but unfortunately, I was finding it hard to stay interested... It's too "IN YOUR FACE!!!" IMO... It also ends abruptly... Over all, fun track. -
Hmmm... Never heard the original, if you could supply a link maybe? The French Horns could use some EQ tweaking, but other than that, the production sounds great! I love your EQ style, it fits great with the arrangement. Only thing is I need to hear the original before I can give you a proper opinion about the arrangement.

been a big fan of the series and was once an elite player of 2... Kinda rusted out, though... The songs in 1 and 2 are really not that remixable due to the fact that they're only bass and chord... there isn't much of a melodyline there to work with... BB however...

Sonic Adventure 2 Battle - Shadow story songs
electric concerto replied to Sora3087's topic in ReMix Requests
Alright alright, I'll add SA2 to the project tracklist Start looking around here in a few months for when the project starts. -
... Mine cost me almost twice that! (Of course, I bought XXL with just about everything they offer)...

http://www.e-concerto.net/music098273/raveelis.mp3 Something I started a long time ago because I never heard a proper remix using all sections of this song... Almost done, but Id like to see what you guys think...
-
That may be so, but If we decide on a 2 part project, it might work... Remember, not every song in both OSTs is nessissarily remixable... Btw, you can keep track of the going ons on the project forum: http://sos.e-concerto.net/forum/ The project's going to be called "Sound of Super Sonic".

Someone around here did a Wii Sports remix (I think it was called Wiitastic), dunno whatever happened to it... I might give it a shot...... Never played the other 2, though...

How Often Do Remixers Look At This Forum?
electric concerto replied to Thin Crust's topic in ReMix Requests
I've done a few requests, but nothing I got far enough to submit... -
Might as well make a central place for PER (Project Electric RPG) so that you can keep up-to-date on the latest happenings going on. PER is a compositional project for the creation of a complete Dance-based RPG OST. Here is the complete tracklist for the project, with links on each WIP/Completed composition. Tracklist: -Main title theme -Crisis Theme -Dungeon 1 (Woods based) -Dungeon 2 (Desert Based) -Dungeon 3 (Plains Based) -Dungeon 4 (Cave Based) -Dungeon 5 (Castle Based) -Dungeon 6 (Factory, Facility, etc. based) -Dungeon 7 (Hi-Tech Based) -Overworld 1 (Light) - Link -Overworld 2 (Dark) -Results -Battle 1 (Standard Circumstance) - Link -Battle 2 (Unusual Circumstance) -Boss Battle 1 (Mini Boss) -Boss Battle 2 (Main Boss) -Boss Battle 3 (Final Boss) If you see any tracks missing, like a certain event or dungeon etc., post it and I'll be sure to add it to the tracklist. Here's something I threw together that would probably go in an RPG game as the standard battle theme. The intro may sound a little complex and jumbled, but it's meant to give the impression that a battle is about to begin. The melody goes into a little fanfareish to give hope to the fighters, then goes into a mode of concentration, then into a winning sound. Any comments, critiques, and suggestions welcome! http://www.e-concerto.net/music098273/battle1.mp3

Anyone else interested? Remember, you can be interested, but not remix, as well as be interested, and finish your other projects.

Sonic and the Secret Rings Final Boss
electric concerto replied to electric concerto's topic in General Discussion
Tnx for the advise, but try as I might, DS is hard for me... I can get through all the levels easy, even the first fight with Erazor, but this one's tough... -
Has anyone beat this bastard yet? Darkspines Sonic is so hard to control....

Sonic 2 -Dr Robotnik's Theme
electric concerto replied to Neofrost's topic in Post Your Game ReMixes!
First off, clever way of utilizing FL Studio's standard samples, however, quality wise, this song is far from it.... First, those drum's sound like they had too much sugar... try to calm those down a bit and make them a little more flowing... Second, make some friends around here, they'll help you out with samples... Invest in some VSTs and soundfonts, play around with free ones until you're ready for the big ones. I agree with Dr.Rod, lots of creativity. Just fix the samples and you should be fine. -

Pokémon R/B/Y - Thunder Stone
electric concerto replied to Dr. Rod's topic in Post Your Game ReMixes!
The quality is somewhat poor as synth choice goes, and it lacks in body.... also, add some more synths and instruments to help make it a bit more.... interesting, I think the word is... -
Electric Concerto - "Broken Memories"
electric concerto replied to electric concerto's topic in Post Your Original Music!
Sorry about the link problem... fixed... -
Including Sonic Adventure 2 into the project is negotiable... Sonic Adventure 2 only has a few songs worth remixing, where Sonic Adventure has a whole lot of them.

I don't know if this has been discussed before, but I thought it would qualify discussion material. I don't know about the rest of you, but I found the connection between Sonic becoming Super Sonic (Blue to Gold, quills different and out) and Goku, Vegeta, etc. becoming Super Saiyans (Black to Gold, hair same symptoms) with the only difference is how the statis is acheived, suspisious.... Both status leave the acheiver multiple times more powerful, etc. So my question is, did Sega take the idea, or is this just coincedence?
