  1. Double posts be damned, i have something nice. Here is the list, as generated by Winamp, of my current state of my "IMC Archive". Keep in mind that that this means files that aren't capable of being played in winamp (i don't have the plugins anymore) will not show up in the list, but may still be present. This also means that files aquired by myself during the IMC process (source files, various versions of songs, etc) are present. I'm currently giving these a run-through, but as you can tell, it'll take some time to verify that while these ARE readable files, that they don't skip or are otherwise corrupted yet still readable. (For example, 2:30 minutes of garbage data with the correct internal tags will play just fine, albeit garbled.) Seems fine so far though. Contests held were named pretty accurately... i'll try to fill in a few blanks. Contest 7 was "Christmas in Hyrule" Contest X (between 11 and 12?) was called "eXtreme Caverns" Contest 19 was called "Pink Armor" Contest 20 was called "It's Pandemonium" There was also an IMC Popcorn I, II, and III. There were 2 "Quickie" IMCs. Anyhoo... The list, complete with duplicates, WIPs, and anything else i had in the folders that winamp could play. ---Break for post limit---
  2. I would've had a normal reply here, but i had to click reply on the last post to use this box.
  3. It's because sony hates you.
  4. Thanks! And Sadorf, quit being a cockhorse, half the people in IMC are still just as bad as they were then, myself included. You just progressed is all. And i like your old stuff, so you, and sonic, can lick my balls.
  5. Yeah, i have a hard time playing my NES games on my SNES as well. It's so boring.
  6. Seriously? I thought i bull(stuff)ed that and was in danger of being DQ'd myself. Nobody really said anything, so i didn't bother, lol. I really like my song though, and it's funny... i listen to it, and i'm like "i probably can't make music like that. it's too wierd. ...oh, right." Thin Glow, and Maniac9's music remain my favs from that compo, but i recall none were really bad. I'm hoping to recover near everything. If not, i'll just create a mirror once i get a server stable, for what there is. May have to just have a few IMCs to fill in the blanks then, eh? PS: Nice pic of Serenity in your sig there. Firefly rocks hard.
  7. ^ Not talking about me. Still working with the data-ums. I believe i've got the right drive in the computer now, and it's still showing that drive "g" is unformatted. I know that it is. The down side is that i can't access it in windows. The upside is that i can access it in linux, and i have my bigass 200GB drive to shuttle the working files over to. I just have to wait till i get time to do it in big chunks. I might try some tonight, but there's a storm overhead, and if i lose power, that might be it. Also, i need to clear assloads of space. I've only got like 2GB left out of 187 (200gb), so i can't transfer willie-nillie from a 30gb disk. It's progressing.
  8. Wow, you folks didn't bother hunting the source, did ya? Just heard about this from Mae. Mae rocks that way. Well, i can say that it's likely that i have the most IMC out of anyone, however it's gotten corrupted and parts are unreadable, but i don't know which. I can only access the drive in linux, and it doesn't tell me what files aren't actually readable anymore. I'm going to try setting something up to where i can pass files from my linux computer to my windows machine (by making one of them a server, more than likely, another alternative is seeing if my ipod shows up as a USB mass storage device). I'm pretty sure i have most of the IMC collection on that drive, however, like i said, it's damaged. (I may not have later stuff, as after a while i switched to a different drive for my server storage and continued updting there.) I can read the FAT on the disk, so i think i can make a list of all of the file and folder names. No garantees past that, as linux is a tightlipped bastard. The only way i know a file is corrupt is that it'll "stall" during transfer to another drive.
  9. Aww, ya care! <points> I've been in Unmod, goofing off. Been having a busy life lately, and haven't been posting as much. Got a new car!
  10. I blame KyleJCrb. That's alright. I'm already blamed for everything else. You can do some blaming too. Y'know, no one's clean here. Okay, bad news. Today, i lost my primary drive's first partion in what may be some type of virus attack, as apperantly it's happening to others in Tech Help. I'm just lucky to have Knoppix to fall back on, or i couldn't be posting here now, or logging in to read about it. Who knows how long this is going to take to fix, because i don't know if anyone knows what it is yet. Good news is, the majority of my data is safe. Bad news is, my OS is not, and without that OS, my server doesn't run, and we're -1 VGDJ mirrors. Crap.
  11. Awww, myth, i'm sorry... would it be better if i burned it to DVD first, sweety? You know i'll do it just for you, my widdew snookums...
  12. D'awwww.... GROUP HUG!! Seriously, no sweat! This PC is always on, barring hardware/connection failure. I'll store whatever ya like, and i've got oodles of space. I've been meaning to delete my old porn anyway. Only thing is my server's a bit simple, so we can't get any kind of php or anything running here.
  13. Your name ... IS... goat? <ahem> anyway... reposted from THE FORGOTTEN THREAD in Unmod... I haven't been able to catch you on aim, but if i could, i'd say this... http://timberwolf.no-ip.com/VGDJ/ Mirrorsites +1 I'm saving your files, and your shownotes. I can mirror the whole site if you like, but it's probably not necessary. I'm not even sure if the mirroring is necessary, your site is likely more stable than my desktop PC's cable connection (thank you, baldwisville cable brownouts), but i have a desktop server and i'm saving the files anyway. I don't have to do anything special, it just matters where i save the files. I can also give you an FTP account linked to that space if you'd like as well. Just lettin' ya know! I'll go back to your podcast now.
  14. Oh my god... This show was totally nuts, lol. I love it! Like 5 calls in a row, from nutjob types trying to take up airtime... I should call in just to say "LIBERTY CITY COCKS RULE!!!"
  15. Dammit! No .ram support here. Anybody mirroring an mp3 stream? Where the hell is kyle!?
  16. I'd like to chime in that this song (in it's first form, at least) was done in ONE DAY for IMC Popcorn II. Yes, i'm fairly sure it won. (If i remember correctly, it beat out my song. I would've won! Sheesh!)
  17. I think that i'd like to chime in here to say that i love this piece, and it's truly a work of art. I'd also like to add it's the second IMC song to make it to OCR. Translation: This was made in just a week. Psychrophyte is the man. (And yeah, i think he knows how i feel about the song, lol.)
  18. If you like Electronica: This Kicks Ass. If you don't like Electronica: This Still Kicks Ass, and you need more respect for where video game music roots began. The synths chosen for each track are either the work of someone who knows their sh... stuff, or is the best random selection i've ever heard. Love this!!
  19. UBB (not to be confused with the BBC), I think you're taking this way too seriously, lol. This isn't a form-driven forum, it's simply a jovial (?) place where prople can talk about what they'd like to hear. If the thread titles aren't descriptive enough, just peek inside. the first post should tell you if you want to read on. If not, just hit the back button and remember that one didn't have what you wanted. No reason to spazz, those aren't "rules", they're "guidelines".
  20. This is innovation put into practice. That said: It's just freakin' cool! It reminds me of Cybertown.com's TTS in the 3D chatrooms. Now i'll have to make it sing lyrics for me. And how the hell'd you do that?!
  21. The fact is, it really, truely, does sound like System Of A Down. I suggest locating a copy of "Sugar" by said band and giving it a listen. To me that just says The Rabbit Joint did a hell of a job on it. I'd give it 5 stars but i'm out of extra stars, so it'll just get 5 blank cds. In the shape of stars. Slammin' piece.
