Are you writing '/join ocremix' or '/join #ocremix'? It should be the latter (only asking such an obvious question as you said you were a total newb). It wouldn't let you connect to the server at all if irc was banned I would have thought?

The black mages version is incredible. The OST version is so untapped potential imo. I always preferred calm before the storm (which I will totally claim asap if that happens).

lol, can I just say I'm not encouraging people to steal tracks. This was more just to make sure they were actually really interested in all of them.

Just a little announcement regarding track claiming: People have been claiming silly amounts of tracks which is a bit gay because there's no real promise that its all going to be done or that you're not just saying "oh i'll take these and maybe do them a year later". I'm sure that's not the case for everyone but it has happened the past on projects. In the interest of fairness, and this is retro-active, you have to make a solid start on one mix to claim another. I've dropped my extra mixes too, this is for everyone. Solid start should be, lets say, a minute of solid (and i mean solid) start on your first track. I think its the only way to be fair to everyone and I hope you (albeit begrudgingly) agree.

If you want me on you can just ask you know.

Well I made it clear to him when he dropped sm64 before; I would rather he didn't let his music become a forced chore, it's too awesome to be wasted like that :3.

I agree completely, which is precisely why I ended up dropping a lot of them (which I still feel bade about Jade ). I feel like I can make exceptions for games and music that I truly enjoy though, and I would hope everyone joining is doing so because the music means something to them.

While I agree there are too many projects, there's NEVER going to be a time when there aren't enough. I think it's usually safe with an FF project though, people love those soundtracks disproportionately, myself included.

Yeah, sorry. There must be something else in all those tracks you like though ? Oh and btw, all you need to know about "Sum Noob" is that they is dark and mysterious and will reveal themselves when you least expect it, destroying the planet in the process. Cool.

I dunno how obscure it is over there but jap film Battle Royale is epic. Pretty obscure in uk anyway.

Can I just say, I checked out everyone on the list who's name you might not recognize, they're all bad dudes who can rescue the princess (DoD guys). I talked to oink about quality control, this is aiming for OCR quality, and you have nothing to worry about :3.

The reason I joined is because I felt like I should give something back to the wondrous place that has helped me improve so much. Unfortunately, I haven't been enthusiastic enough to gear my spare time towards judging for a while now. Basically, I would rather spend whats left of my free-time making music rather then judging, and I think that I can give more back to the site in this way. I also had to quit a lot of other stuff recently, but the key reason for all of these decisions is it means I can spend more time making remixes of the music that actually means something to me, and we all know those turn out much better for everyone . Thank you to the other judges for putting up with me and being so awesome, and I thank the rest of you for the surprisingly low amount of judgehait I got. I might give it another go depending on where I am next year, until then, less vote moar RAWK.

I have about 1:10 so far, this whole time limit thing is gonna kill me.

Screw you guys and your fast remixing!
