Well the point is that I didn't think that my mastering ability would be at a level ready for the project. I'll come back when I've worked on something else that hasn't been taken.
Once again, before you submit, you're going to have to compress in some way. Otherwise, I'd go for it. Arrangement is definitely above the bar. Mastering, while not perfect I think is passable. I'd say go ahead and submit this one.
I miss Nineko. I happen to think last week's source was absolutely awesome, but with 'back from break' papers to write and everything people just didn't have the time to finish. I know that's how it went for me.
Does anyone on the project use GarageBand? I have an arrangement of the Mr. Write theme, but I'm not at all good with polishing. Perhaps someone would like to collaborate?
I suspect it is not a lack of orchestral fans, but rather a lack of Syberia fans.
And the piece is coming along quite nicely. Still might want to work on cutting the filesize down.
Well, I am no noob, and I know this exists. I know you hate the contests subforum, but it's really helpful for regulars like me to find what we want to see.
I think the best way would be some sort of 'advertising' thread in GenDisc for contests like this.
I've started downloading now. This means the songs will be on my comp by sunrise. Then I will get to listen to them at 6:00 tomorrow (estimated). Hopefully I can squeeze that in and vote.
Okay for a little more explanation on my 'generic' synth comment. I meant it didn't have a lot of expression to it to emphasize the way in which it was moving (I'm not that good of a mixer myself as I haven't been able to get my stuff sounding 1/3 this good). It's a minor thing that could be improved if you wanted.
Wow. That was really, really good for a WIP. The only thing that I could point out was that the synth was a little on the generic side, but everything else was awesome.
