  1. At one point they felt a little behind in terms of tempo, but most of the 'off' sound is the mastering. Just a little more tweaking should be a good fix. I wouldn't have heard it if I had just been listening for enjoyment, so it's a minor issue.
  2. Most of these gripes are minor and I'm only making them because I want this to be perfect for submission. I want to see something from Syberia posted. Harp still needs a little work on the blending. 1:03-7 sounds fairly cluttered and a little too muddy. 2:15-17 that buildup in the percussion is a little to gradual, but this is more of 'my preference' than an actual problem. 2:23 - entering instrument doesn't do so seamlessly. Maybe work a little more on this entrance. 2:30 and on. Background parts seem ever so slightly off. I don't think they'll NO you for this, but it would be good to just polish them up a bit (I wish I had your talent). Your file is already 6mb and as such, will have to go through some compression if you want it hosted here.
  3. Ugh... Not liking this. It certainly is okay music, but I'm not feeling anything that could be rearranged or a creative spark. I'm probably a no show for this one.
  4. You'd better work on this once you have access to the source again.
  5. Hey you still beat me. Andy, I would love to see your criticisms. If one person asks, have that person's criticisms removed.
  6. Every time I enter first in hopes that no one else will come up with anything so I can actually win. That, of course insures at least 3 other entries at the very least. I am an important part of PRC.
  7. I hope you get your muse back Sadorf. Them things is slippery. BTW I loved your Mix of Thieves.
  8. Harpsichord is very mechanical in its sequencing. Though you did a nice job with the flute, everything else is very sparse. I don't know how well it's been arranged, never having listened to the original. When you finally get to layering, everything sounds muddy and unpolished. So yeah, there are quite a few production issues before this is up to snuff.
  9. Cannon Fodder. Little Virgin Interactive title that entertained me for hours. Who could forget the struggles of Jools?
  10. Congrats Prophet. Hope that matrimony will only make you more passionate about the arts.
  11. I think Fishy will probably handle any guitar playing that needs doing. I'll check out the soundtrack, and see if anything is left by the time I hear something I like.
  12. Much better with the integration of the harp this time. I would guess the 'sloppiness' would be the flute not blending with the excellent soundscape that you've created. I'll definitely be watching (or listening to, as the case stands) this.
  13. I would have thought that the 'Swinging Porno Mix" would've attracted more of this stupidity.
  14. Not even Tuesday and we already have 2 submissions... Looks like it'll be a good turnout.
  15. Well, OneUp is undoubtedly going to beat me here, since he does this sort of thing better than I. But to celebrate me getting a new mouse (Pocketman, I have put in work on my project piece) I'm entering this PRC with this .
  16. It's not how good the tune is. A mix can be a midi-rip and have a great tune. What matters is how well the artist reinterperets an existing song. So even if the source tune is shit, the mix can get onto the site with clever arrangement and good production.
  17. Coin Crisis Castle Capers A Dragon Scorned Forte Fortress Fireflight
  18. Holy Crap! Somebody remixing an adventure game by Sokal? Inconceivable! Work on making that harp a little more believable. Right now it souns like it was ripped straight from LOOM. Other than that, I'd have to say its great. Still has the feeling of the original. Definitely keep on working on this. And for godsakes, make it longer and more epic.
  19. Are you kidding? Star Ocean's final Battles (secret dungeon and all) were a joke. As for hard bosses... The Astyanax's villain (Thorne or something) was an absolute bitch to beat. Maybe that's just my memory playing tricks on me though, I was only 9 or 10 when I played that game.
  20. DJP did Booster Tarantino for the record.
  21. Yeah, this was my first real mix. It's not mastered well. http://www.tindeck.com/audio/my/4u6fa But there you go. Oh, and more comments on your song: I thought the death idea was great, but didn't fit in at the place where it was placed. If you're going to stick to replicating in game sounds, to notify tempo changing you might include the treasure grabbing sound effect. The ending needs more of a climax.
