  1. Oh I was saying that this moderate turnout encouraged me to vote this time around, not that 4 is too many. Ideally every PRC would have 4-5 entries.
  2. Abadoss is doing LeChuck? Excellent! Now if I could rope somebody into doing Hector LeMans.
  3. I take it you don't like Team Gato or Music of My Groin either. As for the song, it is fairly standard. Nothing really leaps out, save for the intro and outro which happen to be speech.
  4. I think a moderate turnout might be better than a large one so far as attracting voters. Too many mixes feels too much a like a time commitment. That said, I have voted.
  5. Hah. I've done a version of this song too with the similar title 8-legged Crybaby. Middle section with the sped up theme seems outs of place. Love the replication of the death sound. Artistically I think it should feel somewhat more somber after that, but it sounds alright as is. The snapping percussion just doesn't seem to fit.
  6. I loved Loom... I'm not sure I could do it justice, but I'll give it a shot. Took me forever over an hour to figure out that Sword issue.
  7. Ugh... I don't think I'll be entering this one either. I'm sad that I wasn't able to do anything for the past couple.
  8. This piece is catchy. That's probably the OST doing the work, even trying to rope me in with the lofi synths. But the thing that's great about it is the tune. I might as well just listen to the original. It has everything this mix has: lofi samples, catchy tunes and repetition. In short, just get the original. This isn't much of a sound improvement anyway.
  9. Very choppy and lo-fi. I know that was what you were going for, but the level of fuzz is unacceptable. It's very repetitive with almost no variation even with the random phasing. Everything is cluttered, the soundscape sounds as if everything is competing for attention. Please, add some of your own work or vary the theme from the game at least a little bit. This is going to need a lot of work (both production-wise and arrangement wise) before you should consider submitting.
  10. I believe that the Japanese show used different music, composed by Hirokazu 'Hip' Tanaka, which is rarely heard in the English version. I'd have to research further to see if that's true though.
  11. Lords of the Realm 2 was more fun (for me) than the first. Star Control 2 as well.
  12. Civ 2 was totally shown up by Alpha Centauri, which I still think is the best game in the Civ universe. Eye of the Beholder 2 outshone its predecessor. I miss the LucasArts that didn't cancel Full Throttle 2 and cast aside any attempt at adventure gaming as well.
  13. In my opinion, the pinnacle of the series was the third one (possibly due to the addition of spot on voice talent). The fourth one was definitely a letdown and can possibly be labeled what happens when there are too many chefs in the kitchen. Let's just hope that Gilbert gets the go ahead to script #5 when it comes out. How about Gabriel Knight or Broken Sword? Both excellent adventures with great sequels.
  14. I put a challenge to you. Rewrite this song from the perspective of a 'true' boxer in Swedish.
  15. That's absolutely hilarious. Almost like saying that the harpsichord is a total rip-off of the piano.
  16. The artists here also give credit to the original composers and companies to which they are licensed (in case you hadn't noticed).
  17. This piece is so retro, and I enjoy it infinitely more than Mr. Dodger's other contribution to site lore. This is retro done right folks.
  18. Very bouncy, very catchy. I'd describe this as a 'fun' remix.
  19. I love this piece. The Wingless does a great job of creating a relaxing atmosphere with builds. Perhaps he should stick to Guardian Legend stuff, as he seems to chip in his best work for it.
  20. This is not worth the download. This theme has been covered by other artists, and they have done a better job with it. There is nothing eyebrow raising about the arrangement and the sound is pretty spot on a soundfonted original. It seems like the song wants to go just a bit faster than it was programmed.
  21. Wasn't this called Falling before? Nice background pad. Might want to make it a little more subdued. I liked the relaxed atmosphere you had there, and the shift is a little unsettling. Maybe a tad more gradual on the buildup.
  22. A little less reverb on the piano would be nice. About 3/4 of the way through it gets pretty loud for almost no reason. Crescendo is just too much to be natural. The ending has this stuttering string effect: not sure if that was intentional or not, but I didn't like it so much. I did however like the arrangment. Sure it's hard to get absolutely perfect sample (some entrances sound too abrupt for my liking) and I (for the most part) enjoyed it. Its fairly good, and I wish you well as you expand on it a bit more.
  23. This will probably have something along those lines. http://ffmq.olremix.org/ Be warned, OLRemixes are totally different qualitatively than OCRemixes.
