  1. If this is still going on in February (I think I'll be busy with other projects until then) I'll see what I can do with Singing Mountain. \

  3. That was incredibly short and didn't add very much to the original theme. The flute sample used was alright, but obviously fake. It's not bad for in game music in a fanmade game, but definitely not going anywhere on OCR. If you do get the inspiration to go ahead with a full length version, I'm sure that the LA project will be happy to help you.
  4. I'm interested in helping out, but I have another project to finish beforehand. Once I finish that I'll check back and see if you still need help.
  5. <3 Trenthian. First that Wizards and Warriors update and now this... Delicious, if flawed.
  6. Avaris, do I have to remind you of PRC80? Also, I know that this a WIP, and you wanted to veil the rest of the song from us, but there really isn't enough here for me to criticize. The popping/crackling noise doesn't make it sound like it's old, it just detracts from the track.
  7. It seems like the chaotic chords moves by just a bit too slow. Chaos is fast and wild, capitalize on that. Slow discord is for pad building, and that doesn't seem what you want from this arrangement. Nice change of pace right before the ending. The drums are nice if you're going for the "Oh lord it's out of control" feeling, otherwise take a look at that section.
  8. I'm with you on that one. I should start something...
  9. Nostalgia - check Effects Usage - check Beat - check Arrangement - check Flow - check Improve the sample quality. Some of them are just annoying after awhile. Although the current ending could definitely stand, I wouldn't mind something a little more satisfying. I look forward to hearing updated versions of this.
  10. There are parts when the chord progression and the melody don't mesh at all. Everything seems too loud, with the exception of the bass background. The synth you are using distorts once it goes to a certain point on the note register, which irritates me. It's a start, but you definitely have quite a bit of work ahead of you.
  11. That's the Rapids Ride theme. I have some work done based on a VGmusic arrangement (I would give the original arranger credit) of Mabe Village and Mr. Write's theme if you want to hear it.
  12. You can find the soundtrack at Zophar in gbs format. It has some sounds that would be considered sound effects on it.
  13. Fuck yes. I love this song. Interesting playing with the vocals. Of course, the guitar doesn't do justice to the mood of the original piece, but it's not bad at all.
  14. Diddy's Ditties. If it didn't make the ensuing tracks sound short and commercial-esque, that would be a pretty awesome name. Whistlin' Dixie would be a good track name... Baroque Bannanas Kong Kantata Ape Acoutics I'm not coming up with any naming dynamite unfortunately.
  15. Souds sort of like a funk/rave hybrid. I think it could use a little more of the melody in the forefront in the beginning sections, all that looping is really covering it up. You might want to try a little bit of fiddling with dynamics levels, because everything seems on the same plane all the time.
  16. Evilhorde is right. This would be a bitchin' ringtone: but as a piece of music it doesn't find the medium between high and low fi. It seems stuck in between both with a less than desirable outcome. Arrangement-wise it's not bad at all, but nothing that really threw me for a loop, or a "let's hear that again" moment.
  17. Anti thought the keyboard solo ruined the nice vibe that the first part had going and subsequently is looking for a way to continue the track. As much as I want this submitted, it's all up the artist. I'm still perfectly content with version 1.0 I have on my Ipod.
  18. Given a little more depth at the beginning and a little touch-up this could be a very cool song. I don't think the name suits it well at all.
  19. Damn... If I was good enough to do this, I'd totally work on Surfing from Red and Blue.
  20. That first guitar hurts the ears. I'll edit this after I listen to it again.
  21. Haha! Clipping as percussion. Brilliant! This mix is like a barrel of monkeys. No, I'm not going to explain it.
  22. The voice has a twang to it that I would expect to hear in a theatrical production, without the volume that I'd associate with that backdrop. I guess the thing that messes with my head is what I've become accustomed to from processed, recorded music. It's certainly not bad, but it's not the best either. Great relaxing background though.
  23. I like Mazedude. I like Day of the Tentacle. I like (well done) piano mixes. I love Peter McConnell and Michael Land. I think you know what my verdict will be on this one. Once you get past the fact that there will in fact be a lot of dissonance, this is quite a treat for the ears. There certainly is a lot going on this mix. It really does give an impression that some times a large tentacle is banging itself against the piano. The end is quite anti-climactic, but a nice tease instead of a cop out.
