  1. 7 day extension. Deadline: July 5th Sun @ 1PM Vote Ends: July 9thThurs @ 1 PM
  2. Got an improved version up here. Removed artifacts. Couldn't get the speech synths back. Seems the program isn't in the newest version of FL20. Not really worried about that though.
  3. 4 days to go, but I plan to extend by a week or so, since I've also neglected to submit a BONUS. Got a due-date coming up for a project tune too. So much procrastination, so little time.
  4. Alright you McWhore's!! I submitted my McSauce remix. Now it's your turn(s).
  5. Ok...I'm hopping on the bandwagon for round 410 all the while Artistically screeching. But seriously, I've got FL open now, the MIDI is inserted and I'm working it.
  6. Damn. Wish I didn't kill my social media. I don't rly hang out in the OCR discord either...reasons. Well, I do appreciate TheVideoGamer's participation and the MIDI tracks he writes if there isn't a viable one at hand. I wasn't aware that Bundeslang had barely any time to promote, he's so punctual with updates! Must be very efficient with his time lol...unlike me. Haven't felt inspired by the last few entries. But maybe next round I can do something up. And good point DJ Mokram, OHC is a booming community...idk why that doesn't translate over here. I should be using the ThaSauce Discord more often for MnP too... (edits) And also, Kevin (may I call you that?), I really appreciate the time and effort you put into PRC. 410 rounds is nothing to sniff at and there is a rich history in PRC. I also really appreciate your occasional cross-pollination into MnP. And also, sorry for that stupid comment I made about your track when someone was having a bit of a contentious disagreement and I decided to take sides when I really shouldn't have. (And made a rude comment about the quality of your remix, that was totally my fuck up there). Also, I'd like to add that dry-spells have been common place for the last few years, but we do have some rounds that have huge turnout. That's what keeps me going, anyhow. Maybe I don't take this gig nearly as seriously as you though and I kinda ride off your coattails. I'll stand by whatever decision you make and hope for the best!
  7. Can I update the Silent Hill 2 Numbness & Knives submission that was posted last October? https://ocremix.org/remix/OCR03996 I noticed a clicking sound in a pad at 0:24, 0:33 etc and it really bothered me, (edit) but I somehow missed it before...maybe shittier sound setup at the time. So I EQ'd it out in a little update. Unfortunately the FL voice-clips that I had midway and at the ending went missing, seemingly when I updated FL Studio 20. Not sure, but I think the speechsynth is gone too. If that is a deal-breaker for an update, maybe I can grab some other speech synth. But I doubt that was what got this track posted. Lol.
  8. First Draft sent in a PM. Not sure if it hit all the directors. PM me if I missed you and want to hear it. (edit) Also, wow at some of the real big names joining. Maybe bigger than last project. Which I've listened to at least 2 dozen times. Really nice work all around. I think this Secret of Evermore will be just as dope.
  9. Fixed the YouTube link. Muh bad.
  10. Compo: MnP (Meat 'n Potatoes) MIDI: https://compo.thasauce.net/files/materials/MnP114_ps416.mid There is only one time this dungeon theme is used in Phantasy Star 4 and it's before a crucial plot point, and it's pretty groovy. Deadline: July 5th Sun @ 1PM Vote Ends: July 9thThurs @ 1 PM MnP ARCHIVE - made by Trism submit: https://compo.thasauce.net/rounds/view/MnP114 MISSION STATEMENT The goal of Compo:MnP is to promote that "meat and potatoes" conservative approach to remixing: this includes the mood and composition of source tunes. It is up to the remixer to create their own personalization, or to simply give it a sound upgrade. Moreover, the compo is a great opportunity to hone your remixing skills and give video game music the respect that is due. SOME reinterpretation is recommended, but not required. MnP Instructions/Guidelines Covers and Sound Upgrades are permitted. Most or all of the source notes must be present (but not necessarily in the exact same order), secondly the mood (energy, pacing, feelings being conveyed etc) should also be retained. For example, a source tune that is fast-paced and energetic that's remixed into a mellow/chill-out theme would be a hard sell. If you decide to do a genre swap (i.e. symphonic to techno), make sure that the conditions of #2 are met. Submissions must be at a maximum of 20mb (keeping in step with ThaSauce's file size max). Only 1 entry per participant. Previous winner cannot participate but can submit a BONUS entry. Please don't make any comments about people's entries - including your own - until the Voting process is concluded. BONUS entries are exempt of this rule. Same rules for PRC voting Stage: don't vote for yourself, be considerate and try to give reasonable feedback as to why you liked X or Y entry. All competitors and voters must adhere to the rules stated within: Competition Code and Conduct MISC/TIPS - When picking a source tune, make sure it has a MIDI to make ppl's lives easier. - In-game sound FX are permitted, so long as they don't comprise the whole track (i.e. replacing entire MIDI tracks with just sfx)
  11. Slight downswing. Seems my psoriasis medication is impacting my baseline mood again. Anyhoo, I'll get my shit together today. Update upcoming.
  12. Hey wait a second. That's my call to make. Passive Aggressive mode activated. This is your punishment
  13. It's the drum pattern. It's tough to work with. It isn't 4/4 so that rules out n00bs like me who want to actually remix it rofl. At least I got it sounding OK. It sounds 3/4. Is that right? Or am I trippin'?
  14. submitted tentatively. If someone legit subs, I'll change status to BONUS to give them participation priority. Hopefully we'll see more.
  15. I misread that as you'll hit him with the spoon. I read ahead too quick. And sometimes backwards. RIP my brain.
  16. Congrats Dj Mokram. This is a pretty smooth remix, love that pitch work and that groove is super chill.
  17. Well, I bought the album. I think I meant to do so earlier but forgot. Thanks!
  18. Damn, you do my job better than me. Least for this round rofl. I think the last one too. I'm probably gonna fail at too in the future at intervals, but I guess we all have our biases and ideas of how MnP should be. Still, I'll try and be better about it. Thanks for participating Seth! :3
  19. Compo: MnP (Meat 'n Potatoes) MIDI: https://compo.thasauce.net/files/materials/MnP113_Teenage_Mutant_Ninja_Turtles_The_Hyperstone_Heist_-_Alleycat_Blues.mid TMNT has a rocking soundtrack! The SNES version is more funky, but the SEGA version is more exciting, and rocking. The game is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Hyperstone Heist, and this is the Alleycat Blues. A nice composition with a lot of scope for ideas! Everyone runs to the SNES version, which is nice, but they leave this out, which personally i think is the better version. Oh well, opinions lol. Love this one a lot. -TVG Deadline: May 28th Thursday @ 1PM Vote Ends: June 2nd Tuesday @ 1 PM MnP ARCHIVE - made by Trism submit:https://compo.thasauce.net/rounds/view/MnP113 MISSION STATEMENT The goal of Compo:MnP is to promote that "meat and potatoes" conservative approach to remixing: this includes the mood and composition of source tunes. 20. Not to go over Bundeslang's helmet too much for fear of being Schwartz'd (just more to the side), I think he'll be extending the round due to lack of entries.
  21. Oh. Yeah, that was an epic round. I'll remember that one till I push up the daisies lmao.
  22. Damn. I'm impressed. It's 59 USD, not bad!
  23. Well, even if you struggled to make the sample sound genuine (to you), it's a bloody good sample. Maybe my critical ear is full of shit. Also, sorry about last round, on a double-take, I realized that your entry was the ideal MnP entry. Its very hard to suss out the objective from subjective for some reason. Good thing you still won though, eh? Granted, Trism made an awesome tune too. It was in the top 5 hardest votes to make thus far.
