Yeah, this "RMX 1" is an INCREDIBLY re-interpreted and not MNP sounding at all. If there is original source, then it's well transformed via the notation, style and tempo. @Mr.EA can you time-stamp the exact spots where source material is used in contrast to your [edit] ReMix?? Otherwise, I may have to remove it =/ Example 0:30 ; 1:10. Sorry to put you on the spotlight like this.

Wow. There's a lot of potential here and a lot of it already executed quite nicely. But, there's a but. With a butt. Zero Suit Samus butt. Uh...whoops going off topic. ANYWAYS... 1) Wow that atmosphere is dank. Like 10/10 there. 2) Love the distorted drums in 0:55. A glitchy beat is actually not a bad idea as the main too. 3) Nice risers. 4) If you want to go more ambient, then go for a more ambient sounding beat, with lots of reverb-y drums and maybe a hint of industrial and/or glitch. If you want something high-energy, then have the instruments match up with dat beat (but also vary up da beat too).

Man my remix comments sure were cringe at parts. Must've been a combination of caffeine, nicotine and a bit of the reefer that went to work. Probably sleep deprivation too. And autistic screeching.

Proud to have worked on this project. Everything I've heard so far is outstanding. And once again Jorito blows us all out of the water ...But seriously, everything and everyone associated with this album rocks. I highly recommend grabbing "Paths Less Traveled". Also, big thanks to Trism, Odai, Chimpazilla, Jorito and others I forgot to mention for helping coordinate the album. Wish I could've done more, but this album CO stuff is a bit above my paygrade (and attention). See you guys for Soulblazer and/or Illusion of Gaia (Not a spoiler, sadly)

Well, at least you got a chance to do something for a tune you like. That's something. At least on my headphones it sounds pretty good. Maybe the *cymbols are clipping a tad? Dunno. edits of rambling pingas. Fun choir-vox samples too. Plus I like the moogy synth that does some of the support melodies.

well, i'm getting some batman & robin (Mad-Hatter stage??) vibes here. I might be able to shoot out a cool ambient trancy thing, per my usual weird style. Or maybe I can focus more on the trance

It is up to the remixer to create their own personalization, or to simply give it a sound upgrade. Moreover, the compo is a great opportunity to hone your remixing skills and give video game music the respect that is due. SOME reinterpretation is recommended, but not required. MnP Instructions/Guidelines Covers and Sound Upgrades are permitted. Most or all of the source notes must be present (but not necessarily in the exact same order), secondly the mood (energy, pacing, feelings being conveyed etc) should also be retained. For example, a source tune that is fast-paced and energetic that's remixed into a mellow/chill-out theme would be a hard sell. Will there be options to retain font and text formats when copying/pasting down the line? I seem to recall seeing that it will be nixxed when the dark theme comes around.
