  1. Wow. Yes. This is perfect. Which is par for the course for Mr. Henry I daresay. You might want to consider working this into a "Metroid Metal" set sometime. I'm just saying.
  2. Better than the original? It just might be! Of course, this comes as no surprise given the remixer. I would love to hear this at a dance club some night.
  3. I simply love the bells in the opening. When that violin kicks in, I get chills! Very impressive work. I am not familiar with the source material unfortunately, but I usually enjoy Ninja Gaiden mixes. At this point, I've gotta say that this one is my favorite! =)
  4. This mix would bring me to my feet if it was played in a club. Nice going!
  5. I have quite literally been listening to this all day. I can't stop listening to it. I'm not sure what you fellows were going for, but your track managed to put me in that most rarefied of moods: reflective. Thanks for that.
  6. As far as I'm concerned, metal doesn't get much better than this. I especially loved the production, and everything just sounded "right" to me. Thank you for the exemplary work.
  7. I'm going to be listening to this quite a bit. I love mixes like this one, and I like the stripped-down production.
  8. Am I the only one who hears shades of Final Fantasy here? This is a great track, with a unique vibe that I'd like to hear more of in the future.
  9. Holy cats, does this rule or what? It was the music that these three fellows composed that brought me to this site in the first place. This track just shows – no surprise – that they've still got it.
  10. You can always count on DJPretzel to deliver the brass! I love me some tuba. This is one of my favorite tracks on the entire album, and the perfect way to kick things off. I hope we get to hear more from you in the future man!
  11. From 3:13 onward, this track absolutely blows the lid off of its source material. I'd like to be in the club where this was played. As always, Virt excels. And I don't even like trance!
  12. I can't stop listening to this song! I love everything about it, even the corny lyrics. They just work wonderfully well. I'm grateful for the opportunity to get music of this caliber free of charge, and everyone else should be too. Thanks! =)
  13. Yay. I love this album's consistency. "A New Place" is easily the best vocal track that I've ever heard off of OCR. And how cool is it that Dave Wise contributed? I'm really honored to have the chance to listen to this free of charge. Of course, I can't wait for the opportunity to buy a physical copy. Congratulations everyone on a job well done!
  14. There's a reason OA is one of my favorite artists on this site: tracks like this. I'd happily shell out money for an entire album by this fellow. Thanks again for the outstanding work.
  15. Hello. I sent you a PM about donating for Serious Monkey Business. Just give me the PayPal address, and I'll send the money. Thanks!

  16. This is fantastic. I wish more OCR albums were structured this way. I like the collective efforts as much the next guy, but there's something to be said for an album you can listen to in its entirety a couple of times on the way to work!
  17. I'd have to say that this is one of, if not the best, remix of this track that I've ever heard. I'd also add that I find it quite true to the source material, both atmospherically (throughout) and melodically (in parts). Well done!
  18. I'm inclined to agree. Calling someone's death "a waste" implies to me that their talents were squandered on meaningless pursuits when they could have been better applied elsewhere. Clearly, that is not the case here. Of course, I think it's pretty clear that nobody that has used the word "waste" in this thread has meant it in that sense. That being the case, it would be wasteful to argue about it. =)
  19. Ummm...I'm not really sure what to say. This is a horrible piece of news. Damn it. If any kind of gift package is ever compiled for his family, I'd be glad to donate some money. PS: I checked out some of his anime remixes via the links that were posted here, and for those of you that are into highly expository piano pieces, I'd definitely recommend his Rurouni Kenshin remix. Of course, they're all more or less good. He had an outstanding body of work.
  20. Whenever I hear this, I'm instantly filled with visions of Link locked in mortal combat with Ganon. Very powerful. Well done!
