  1. This constitutes as a list/favorite thread, which we don't allow here (at least with a list thread, there is no discussion that goes on): http://www.ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=2360 And sweet jeebus, a McVaffe sighting!
  2. Well, my PS3 has been collecting dust for a little while...I can't afford to pay full price for any more games right now, especially after buying Rock Band for the 360.
  3. Jeez, almost every day we have a birthday around here. Happy birthday!
  4. I'm mixed about this - it may be a bot, but it does seem a bit industry related.
  5. So I listened to this album last night, and I have to say, nice work . Definitely enjoyed it, and will probably be listening to it more sometime in the near future.
  6. ...why would you post such an inflammatory article?
  7. I don't understand either. The misinformation spread around is a bit ridiculous.
  8. Sure, just send me a PM my way at least a few days before you come around and we could chill or something (I buy you a beer, or enjoy my game collection - I got Rock Band).
  9. Dell has sales fairly frequently. Apple very rarely has sales. For example, this past holiday, Dell had some of their most incredible deals ever, and for under $1000, you could easily get a laptop that functioned on par with the Macbook Pros, excepting maybe the video card. They also had some great bargain desktop deals as well, with 19" LCD monitor. If you want flexibility and better prices, Apple has never been the company to buy them from (excepting maybe ~1 1/2 years ago for that brief period when the Macbook was first introduced, combined with their free iPod Nano & printer deals) and to argue otherwise really is a demonstration of ignorance.
  10. Except once Dell throws out some of their insane deals/coupons, you can find deals that would cost thousands less than what you can get from Apple. There is no question for a deal seeker which is cheaper.
  11. djpretzel decides most of these things...and this is a really silly way to ask such a question, especially with this thread around: http://www.ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=4478
  12. I'd say it's perfectly reasonable. In addition, Macs are still more expensive in general than their PC counterparts being sold by OEM vendors like Dell or HP.
  13. If it wasn't on the east coast, a lot of people probably would have a hard time getting there - it'd put a major dent in my wallet at least because flights are not cheap, especially compared to a $35 roundtrip bus ticket.
  14. What? As far as I'm aware, most of the industry does not function that way, as much as companies want otherwise.
  15. Yeah, I'd certainly be up for going on New Years as well. The only problem I might see is that some people might not be able to come on New Years and miss Thursday and part of Friday.
  16. That's not much different than what I do, hold ctrl and click, and it annoys me as it is.
  17. Wow...that's a lot of shitty games. I'd definitely buy Top Spin 3 though.
  18. Liongames.com tends to have decent preorder deals if you pay attention i.e. getting on their mailing list (like I have SSBB preordered for $43 shipped). Cheapassgamer.com & cheapass price intuition (for how long to wait for a game for a discount based on how it did, etc.) lets me score on other discounts too.
  19. As someone who has been using a Macbook for 1 1/2 years now, I'm gonna have to agree with much of that (although I know little about graphics work with a Mac, my friends do just fine on a PC). I'm sick of my Macbook, iTunes, 1 click mouse, and no customizable parts on a desktop, and I want to build a desktop so badly and get back to Windows. Also, I'm very skeptical about the Macbook Air because my Macbook has a 2.0 Ghz Core Duo, while the Core 2 Duo is not much better for laptops and the Macbook Air has CPUs with lesser clock speeds. My computer has been trudging along a good portion of the time, and for a computer with roughly the same specs as my Macbook, it doesn't impress at all. I have crashes just as often as I did on Windows, if not more.
  20. No favorite threads: http://www.ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=2360
  21. I want this game too...but $50 is a bit much to me - I almost never pay full price for a game anymore. Super Mario Galaxy, Halo 3, Call of Duty 4, Bioshock - I got all of these at a discount, and have Super Smash Bros. Brawl preordered at a discount as well.
  22. Well, I can say it's a great school to be at...although there's not terribly much in the area. If anything though, I can assure you that you'd know someone with lots of video games though You should've came to MAGFest with him - it was a great time!
  23. I think my favorite childhood show to watch was Looney Tunes. Carry on.
  24. What? Nerdy yeah, but geeky? OCR is sometimes far from that.
