Too bad you missed getting Orange Box at Best Buy's website - you could've done instore pickup with it. My haulings are all online from Amazon this year - 3 Wiis, a Logitech webcam for -$31 after rebate (yep, you read that right - they're paying me to take it away), Bioshock for 360 for $40, and Call of Duty 4 for 360 for $48. I'd say I did well.

The 29th is just bad in general for all of those holiday on & off Broadway shows. I'd recommend staying far away from them period.

But the thing about Call of Duty 4 is that the detail is vital to the gameplay since much of it is about stealth. Sure, it looks good too, but the effects on gameplay impressed me most.

Looks like they're closing down. I wouldn't care much for something like that in a city with so much to do anyway.

I'm too poor too, and the deals I'd be interested in, I'd be able to find them for cheaper sometime in the next 2 years likely, so it's not even worth it to me (excepting maybe TVs).

Any particular choices of things to do for anyone? Someone earlier in the thread suggested Chinatown Fair arcade. Wintuk would be nice but I'm worried that it might be to expensive, especially for good seats. I was in the city earlier today, and it was tough just deciding on what restaurant us 2 wanted to go to (lunch and dinner). I'd prefer that the restaurant is reserved ahead of time this year though.

Best game of the year? Strange, considering Super Mario Galaxy beat out Ocarina of Time for all-time highest reviewed game on Gamerankings. More on topic though, I have finally played the first game that rationalizes an HDTV - Call of Duty 4. It is the first game to demand that much detail that I have come upon and maintain fun factor.

Oh wow, I'd be up for that - I saw Saltimbanco about a week and a half ago at my school and it was good. Edit: So, if we were to go as a group, we could potentially get group sales...but we'd have to hurry as that particular date is popular for stuff in NYC. Also...the tickets run from $40-200 normally. It's an expensive proposition, one I don't think is inclusive. I don't think we'd be able to pull it off.

Anyone else pick up this glorious game? Shit is hard as fuck - so far I've made it up to the fourth stage on normal, and the 7th stage on easy. Edit: Now I beat 7 stages on easy, but they don't let you get to the 8th on easy mode apparently.
