  1. Agreed - classical refers to music from a particular time period. Contemporary is a more accurate label, but even then, here it isn't completely accurate (example: Trans-Siberian Orchestra is orchestral metal/prog rock/prog metal).
  2. Most of these big corporations pander heavily to their stockholders for stable income, and rehashing games or releasing movie related games let them do this without much effort. Companies like Nintendo hurt companies with mentalities like this because they have a hard time competing with the likes of Nintendo.
  3. Last week when I was in Gamestop here, I saw someone pull it off twice in a row. That was ridiculous.
  4. Hey, go answer Taucer's PM! I've heard this a while ago, and I remember liking this. Nice Work
  5. Either the 28th or 29th looks perfect for this year.
  6. I guess Sony still hasn't learned from their PS2 debacle when it comes to customer service.
  7. Pleasantville, NY...or if you ask Jill, wherever she is
  8. As a general note, it's recommended that you have the cell phone numbers of at least two people attending the first part of the meetup, since NYC is a big place and traveling in large groups is tough. If you don't meet this criteria, go ahead and send some PM's to those on the list! Part I - New York City When: 12:00 noon Saturday Where: Grand Central Terminal, near the information kiosk in the main room (the one with the night sky ceiling) Stuff to do: Lunch, Virgin Megastore, Guitar Center, Chinatown Fair & Chinatown exploring, dinner (in pretty much this order). This will be far less expensive than most of the other meetups that have happened, especially on the east coast, so it's a nice change of pace in one of the most expensive cities in the world. Part II - Pleasantville Sleepover When: 8:00 p.m. Saturday - 12:00 noon Sunday Where: zircon's home in the suburb of Pleasantville. He and pixietricks will meet everyone at the Metro North stop in town and escort them to the house. zircon's cell # is 215-531-0798 if something comes up. Stuff to do: If people are still hungry, there are an abundance of nearby restaurants that do take-out and delivery, eg. NY-style pizza, Subway, Chinese food, delis, etc. zircon has a Wii and Xbox 360 with two controllers each, so if you have extra controllers, feel free to bring 'em along with any other games of your choice! We'll generally just be hanging out. Everyone coming to the sleepover from the first part of the meetup should plan to catch the 7:23 p.m. train together from Grand Central ($7.45 cash or credit). Bahamut will lead the way, since he has lots of experience with Metro North. So wherever you are before that point, please allow enough time to arrive, buy your tickets, and board before it leaves the station! If you are coming separately, simply ask someone at the Grand Central info booth what the next train is to Pleasantville on the Harlem Line. If you're driving, use Google Maps to 75 Choate Lane, Pleasantville, NY 10570. As for travel plans Sunday morning, feel free to ask zircon or Bahamut for information on public transport. People will undoubtedly be going home to different places. Definites: zircon pixietricks Bahamut José the Bronx Rican Leon K. Kroze Dix The Pezman Passive Pretentiousness
  9. I was going to get this game, but this game comes out when all my money is tied up with other stuff . $170 is just a lot to hunker down for a game.
  10. Fuck...that is better than the $43 preorder shipped deal that I got. Amazing deal.
  11. Mine is about 1/6 of my numbers. Maybe you just need to get out more
  12. It isn't a sample, but it definitely reeks of rearrangement. I'm curious whether he got the check mark from Square for this or not.
  13. Too bad their latest PSP commercial blows all ass and makes me want to punch the creator of it in the face
  14. I would think that the memory stick reader supports all of them, since it is Sony's technology (memory sticks).
  15. What version of the PS3 does your brother have?
  16. Just what we need here at OCR...Slipknot love & shilling.
  17. What's so bad about it? It's one of the classic thrash metal songs...
  18. 'Tis true, I remember getting like 30 - 45 min for videos on my 1st gen iPod Video. I've bought a 20 GB 4th gen iPod, 1st gen iPod Video, and 1st gen iPod Nano. The 4th gen died in under an year (also have had it sent numerous times for various bugs such as permafreezes) - the battery life dove rapidly too, netting less than 5 hours too. The iPod Video had similar problems with the battery life, although I don't know how low it would've went because it got stolen one day during a workout at the gym. The Nano I gave away because I got sick of portable music players, and I hardly used it (it was free though!).
