MEETUP: Video Games Live, Washington, DC (6/29-6/30)
Bahamut replied to big giant circles's topic in General Discussion
Jose, bad news - turns out my brother can't get his apartment until September 1st, which is no good for us for Otakon...so are you still going to stay for both nights? So, so far we have: Jose (Friday definite and Saturday = ?) Darkesword (Friday) Kroze (Friday) q-pa (Friday & Saturday) Me (Friday & Saturday) ...and I want a friend to come along but she has disappeared off the face of the earth. For the first night at least, it's looking like it's either $40 or $48 per person or so, I'm guessing $48 though assuming no other person jumps in. I'm looking to book tomorrow night, so if there's anyone else who'd like to get in this group, speak up now or forever hold your peace. -

I haven't even booked my train yet...that sounds like a good one to get on though though. Finding me on the train may be another issue, as I don't think I'll be wearing my OCR shirt while on the train, but probably a polo shirt. -
Well, rock's history stems from the blues, so that's expected. Metal has a lot more influence from more contemporary music than most modern music though.

So with the hotel situation, who else is still looking for a place to stay in? If there's enough interest, we could book 2 rooms and split the cost accordingly. For a hotel, the price is relatively cheap so it's not a bad deal either way. -

From Google: http://www.bertuccis.com/Menu_Restaurant_Dinners.php Doesn't look bad in terms of pricing. -
Get to baking that cake!

Planet Puzzle League: The Ultimate Puzzle Game
Bahamut replied to Bahamut's topic in General Discussion
I actually never had a problem with those who do that, since my game revolves around rushing to the shock blocks and sending as much trash to get them to screw up...but that minimal garbage strategy really makes it hard for me to compete with that since raising the screen is suicide if you make enough chains. I wish Nintendo didn't empower such a strategy, since it is less demanding in terms of skill...and this is probably the most hardcore game Nintendo has in its arsenal. Similarly, I just use the d-pad since I'm so used to Tetris Attack on the SNES, and Pokemon Puzzle League on the N64. Maybe I'll adopt the stylus at some point though. Also, there's a friend's code database here: http://drack.1111mb.com/index.php It's from the ClanOCR thread, and it's nice and nifty. If there's anyone who wants assistance in getting better, I can post stuff about chaining & predicting chains sometime in the next few days. Also, I'm almost always on IRC in #ocremix in irc.enterthegame.com, excepting maybe today and sunday since I'm going to Baltimore for 2 days. -

Ah, I missed your post - sure, you can stay with us...are you planning on staying both nights? -
That's a mighty lot of <3s and XDs...happy birthday jdgfgt, and keep on making those kickass albums!

So, I know I can't be the only one who snagged this game, one of the ultimates in gaming. Come on out you OCRers who picked it up, I know you're out there. I was reminded just now about how much depth this game holds as a puzzle game. For the first time, I got completely decimated in Birthday Battle, against some Japanese guy who didn't try to outchain me, as that has proven futile to anyone facing me, but to send me hardly anything, but enough to force me to make a few big chains/combos in retaliation, as well as sending me a ? block in the beginning. He/she doesn't seem to be the brightest out there, as I saw some stuff ilke 17x chains in the beginning, but this strat almost has me convinced that it is the ultimate strat for online battling seeing as my brutal chain spamming broke against it.

Is there anybody who can give people going to a hotel ride to a Metro station from djp's place to the nearest Metro station, or if it's too late for the Metro (I don't know how long it runs till), to the hotel itself? -
What you probably want is a credit card, not a debit card. One thing to keep in mind is that you want to protect yourself from fraud as well (if someone steals your account information from online or if someone steals your wallet), as any of these cards only insure you up to a certain amount, excepting maybe American Express, so if you have a credit card, you will always want to be protective of your wallet that contains it.

It's Rockstar, what did you expect? It's their entire marketing strategy.
-
No, it doesn't limit you in any such way - the only requirement is when using the remix elsewhere, you eliminate any reference to OC ReMix in the mp3 or the tagging, so you could submit a remix here, and if it gets posted, all you would have to do to use the mp3 elsewhere is remove the reference to OCR in the ID3v1/2 tag & in the filename.

Hmm, nobody mentioned this non-lyrical track by Destiny? Submarine Attack - Into The Deep -
Yeah, I don't gamble anymore, but there's still fun times to be had (i.e. bar)

QFE. People here have gotten burned in the past by similar such requests, so it'd be good to give more detail - since you go to Full Sail, it may be a good idea to look for other OCR regulars there. Ramaniscence, an #ocremix op, goes to school there I know, and undoubtedly there're others.

So, who's up for going to the wedding and then heading over to the Canadian Niagara Falls casinos?
