  1. A double post, but my CD came in on Saturday - I'm finally going to get a chance to listen to it today
  2. This is off-topic, but what game's music gets done is all up to the project director & what he/she chooses.
  3. Looking at that tour list, they will probably play a shortened setlist is my guess, since Accept is the clear headliner (one of the oldest bands of metal still around as far as I can tell - even older than Black Sabbath). Alas, I'll be at Parris Island, South Carolina by then - I live pretty close to Springfield. You two should take a trip down here for Blind Guardian's show on December 22 here .
  4. I actually am not too much of a fan of this particular take, sorry IBBIAZ. It does feature some frenetic riffing and drumming, but I felt like there was too much of a thin sound in some areas. I also probably wanted more of the Battle with the Four Fiends in it.
  5. For some reason I missed listening to this track. I also was surprised to find out that this is our first Contra 3 mix. This is pretty damn good, it's frentic, yet has a definite jazz feel to it as opposed to the more ominous tension feel you get with Contra music in general. The tension is more subtle & fitting for the style.
  6. Lucky for you, there's a nice easy way to check for piano tracks, although many listed here may not be exclusively piano: http://ocremix.org/forums/tags.php?tag=piano
  7. I'm sure some of the more hyped people already found this:
  8. I missed this one for some reason - this is a pretty fun song, and I think djp pretty much sums it up. at the Redskins reference there!
  9. This is a nice relaxing mix that has a bit of a holiday vibe to it, in part from the soft synths & the bells. It isn't too surprising considering the name of the song, but it is good all the same. I do wish it had a more fuller sound to it, but that's a minor gripe.
  10. There might be some legal barriers to it I'd suspect.
  11. I missed it - belated happy birthday!
  12. Short and lighthearted take on Green Greens. Hard not to enjoy this for what it is
  13. Pretty much what BP said, and I'm not talking about the crappy oil giant speaking here. There's a really nice laid back rocking groove to this. This may be understated, but I like how the synths add some dimension to the song, providing a nice contrast to the guitars.
  14. So the final wavs are due the day I probably lose contact with the world and prepare to ship out to boot camp. Be patriotic and get those tracks done by then!
  15. Super Mario Kart has been covered by quite a few bands, including the aforementioned OneUps album.
  16. The beer here might get you to change your mind about beer.
  17. It's a restaurant run by the Dogfish Head brewery - you'll miss out on the awesome beer probably, but you can still eat! (and maybe take a sip from people's beers)
  18. If you take the bus I mentioned before to Rosslyn station from Dulles (the 5A I believe), I can get you to the hotel from there.
  19. For those coming on Thursday afternoon - who wants to go take a trip to the Dogfish Head Alehouse that evening?
  20. Lost Odyssey - Main Theme: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNa1W9cj8NA It doesn't contain lyrics, but this song is just gorgeous overall.
  21. Can't say I really think of a huge deal of any of their albums to be honest. Maybe a few songs, but most are underwhelming IMO. I think given a good core group from the community, better stuff could be put out.
  22. Heh, I made a thread for this a few days ago myself, but nobody else seemed to really care . Once I can scrounge up some money, I'll put some down on this!
