  1. I had massive frustration against the last boss in that game - I never did finish it because of it because I had spent a massive amount of time grinding up to that point.
  2. A double post, but WillRock and Brandon have sent in 2 more wavs - looking good folks!
  3. I'm going to guess that he has stayed out of the competition so that he could act as more of an impartial organizer of the competition. It should be noted that he did not place any votes as well.
  4. The timing yes, but I knew the competition would come up - Shariq and I have talked about it while the GRMRB was running. Edit: And NitroFlash (Dominic Ninmark) has claimed Volt Catfish and Opening Stage (MMX)! Things just got serious !
  5. I know a triple post is in bad form, but Willrock has a bitching rendition of The Skiver & Infinity Mijinion - you'll all get to hear it when round 2 of the GMRB voting starts! In other news, got a WIP for BONKERS' Dr. Light medley & for Skummel's Flame Stag - things are looking pretty good here, people are putting in good effort. For a more general status of things - the end of December is a hard deadline. For those not done by then, their tracks will likely be cut unless they work to get the tracks in asap & are close to done. I want to see this ready for release by late January at worst.
  6. We can have a server event, vanilla mode!
  7. I have a tendency to eat some fast food, but in my case I'm burning up the calories quite fast from my workouts. That said, it's not good for most people.
  8. I believe I have heard this track before, but I forget when I listened to it. That said, I like the whole atmosphere that surrounds this take on Dr. Wily 1, it is unique as far as it goes considering most people go the rock/metal angle with it. The vocals are well done here, and helps carry the song forward along with a solid backing. The only thing I wish were changed I think would be having some of the backing brought a tad forward - at times some of the instruments are quite faint when compared to the vocals, and I think some atmosphere would be enhanced in a few areas with it. Great job on the song!
  9. So looks like we got another track leak - here's some Chill Penguin to munch on: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fi4mPIAOzv8
  10. To be fair this was Activision that did this, not Nintendo
  11. Ah yes, I love Lost Odyssey. It is clearly a game driven by narrative done in an artistic way. It may or may not be your cup of tea. Tales of Vesperia is a game I loved - it's got action in battles, difficulty, and has the feel of a full fledged JRPG.
  12. The Lufia 2 release on the DS has been quite interesting to me so far.
  13. Just added Gario's and prophetik's GMRB mixes to the count for the album - both did a nice job, which you can download in the zip linked to in this thread: http://ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=31266 There is polishing to be done, so we may not see a final wav immediately, but both are welcome to sub a wav to me whenever they're comfortable with their songs.
  14. If I buy anything, it's going to be a processor/motherboard/RAM/CPU fan so my computer runs smoother! For those looking for a cheap TV, Walmart currently has some Vizios on sale - check http://bfads.net for more details.
  15. The deadline already passed though - unless some sort of extension is given, which I doubt.
  16. The problem must be on your end or your ISP's end then - I just downloaded one virtually instantly.
  17. Yeah, they are small and should download really fast - you can also save the .torrent files where ever you desire and open it from that location.
  18. What you do is download the associated .torrent file from http://bt.ocremix.org you want to grab the files of, and then you open it with the torrent program like utorrent. It will then ask you where to save the files, and then it will start downloading/uploading the content associated with the .torrent.
  19. Here's another fun one from Super Mario Land 2 - Athletic! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EgjSs8nlDHw And Tetris Attack from the GB! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EAVhYH_XtII http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZePbTv_SJOI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jnl78kO5JKA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tCKjHcPj-eg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjyuC28MHqM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IvbNW-xn0Q8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-MMVtmqWL94 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zfsq3zig8Yo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x1dV4JlRVY4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fih8wsErKvE Metroid 2 is an oft forgotten game. Its music is thus also forgotten in the scheme of things as well. I know Emperor Charlemagne touched on it, Lufia: The Legend Returns does have the music thing going for it for a GBC game: (Boss in this video is actually Battle #2 from Lufia 2, not from this game...) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qkNnU-AQ3kU I'd link more music from Lufia, but I can't really seem to find much on YouTube.
