  1. Man, everyone is gonna flood me with wavs at the end of the month, I just know it . In better news though, I got to hear today what is just about the final versions of The OverClocked Plaid Muffins & melody's tracks.
  2. Interesting to see a Drum 'N Bass take on Stickerbush Symphony. Probably my biggest issue with this song is that I get the feeling that it could've been longer & deeper and better for it. Otherwise, it's a nifty song.
  3. It's near Seven Corners - about a 2 mile trek from the hotel.
  4. I'm surprised I never posted in this thread - I've always loved this song, and it seems almost every holiday season, if not every, I've always found myself listening to this again. Sometimes even in the summer! This is a silky smooth rendition of Frappe Snowland that is pretty easy to love, unless you just hate holiday music. I think it is this song that cements Joshua Morse in my mind .
  5. Mazedude sure loves doing these industrial-styled mixes it seems - this one fits that description pretty nicely, with it's apocalyptic sound. I think my only gripe is when it appears like it's going to shift to something good, the song just ends . Otherwise, this is nicely done as usual.
  6. This is a really happy sounding song - can't say it's my cup of tea though .
  7. Okami can be removed from the list.
  8. So, given that its been a little more than half a year, I should chime in with my thoughts about the album: http://www.bahamutwc.com/blog/?p=46
  9. Yup, you understand correctly. And last night, BONKERS added on to the final wav count!
  10. I haven't commented on this mix? For shame! ....well, I commented on it for the writeup already . It's a spectacular song though, one of my favorites from the album I have to say. I'm still in awe of the final product, as Taucer and I were skeptical originally at how it was going to turn out with just the instrumental, but I think this song is a perfect example of not being hasty. We waited to hear how it would come out, and the final product is gorgeous. It is a testament to the power of vocals when utilized correctly. I have nothing but high regards for this song, and it makes its mark as a stellar song on OCR.
  11. You know, I originally wasn't such a fan of this song, but this is pretty enjoyable. I think I needed time to digest this one, as the beginning wasn't my cup of tea originally, but I enjoy this one quite a bit now like the rest of the album. In particular though, it's hard not to be in a happy mood when listening to the song unless you are in that bad of a mood or your picking apart too narrowly. It has a nice upbeat happy bounce to it & a 70s feel to it that just flows well. I know this isn't a terribly substantive review, but in short, Joshua Morse doesn't disappoint and even if it appears that he does, take some more listens .
  12. I'm the opposite - I still love physical CDs, especially if I ever have a hard drive crash, as I've lost a lot of music that way. Having CDs lets me recover a lot of my collection faster. On a more relevant note, I mention some quick thoughts on the album here (on first listen): http://www.bahamutwc.com/blog/?p=44 I really like this album, listened to it a few times already.
  13. This is pretty much the ultimate jazz take on this song I can imagine - well done! It's pretty much an instant favorite, even after all this time.
  14. I like this mix a lot, it manages to inject some life into an oft done song. Great job!
  15. I don't remember hearing this one, but I couldn't help but take a look when I saw it said it was by Patrick Burns by it. This mix for the most part still a nice song, although I think one of the lower end synths could've been worked on.
  16. Wow, its been quite a while since I've heard this one - it popped up on the ReMix Roulette on the front page for me. As for the mix, it doesn't seem to have aged terribly well. The bass sounds weak here, and the synth sounds plain. I feel like this could use some more instrumentation to help fill out the sound - in its current state, I think I would prefer the original.
  17. This is a pretty interesting take on Into the Darkness, with a creepy angle to it. I do wish it was longer as with most songs this short, but it is fraught with expression as Dave mentioned in the writeup. I hope to hear more in the future with (I hope) some more depth to it!
  18. This song just woke my roommate's cat up from his slumber by the heater. It's too adventurous to ignore!
  19. Pretty short, but sweet guitars. I do wish the whistling was a little louder but otherwise a nice job overall.
  20. It's hard not to like VHD's music, and this is no exception. Dave mentions that it sounds like Christmas music, which makes it appropriate that I'm listening to it right now then.
