Yeah, this one's a favorite of mine just for the awesome solos. The synth choices didn't bother me a bit and honestly I thought it was perfect for the kind of music you've got going here. The foundation for the song is pretty generic but the lead writing is what makes this one of my favorite Willrock mixes. Very enjoyable mix, but you've only improved since this!

This is AWESOME, the chopped female vocals are what draw me to this track. That part was expertly implemented and just sounds plain awesome. Aside from that, the song is breezy, creative, and just makes you want to get up and dance! One of the most fun tracks to hit the front page this year, you can't beat this kind of goodness!

This whole song feels flighty - your lead synths bounce around like they're floating along in the breeze It's really quaint. The orchestra hit is kind of cheesy and out of place but all the other instruments really jive together and create a great song to lounge around to on a carefree day. At first I was really off-put by this song, but looking back I can't remember why, it's actually very enjoyable Also, kudos on finding such a laid-back use for a D&B drumloop, that's good work!

Yeah, on the album version the solo piano threw me off a bit just because it doesn't seem to have anything to do with the actual track - I had the same problem with Dhsu's collab with Sixto, the piano was really misleading and, although it sounded great on its own, didn't seem to fit in well with the track. The radio edit feels a lot more natural by showcasing parts of the song where the piano and Mustin's instruments mix more seamlessly. The outro where the piano was again featured felt a LOT more appropriate for the song Other than that, great choice in synths, the bass especially is really insane. Also, I don't hide the fact that I'm a sucker for electric pianos so that aspect of the mix really stood out for me, too!

This is one of Nut's better arrangements, I think. The synths are incredibly subtle, I don't even notice them unless I'm paying close attention. The intro is my favorite part, I love the strings you've got playing throughout most of it that section. Also, after hearing "Full of Courage" on the FFIV album, it was really cool hearing that theme make a cameo in here! Nice work, I like this one a lot!

This feels a bit more accessible than some of Beatdrop's other work for some reason, but it still has all the other things that define his style - massive beats and synths, a wall-of-sound approach to mixing, and some really insane glitchy effects (the stutter at 1:12 was especially cool!) To be honest, most of your music is so loud and intense that it almost gives me a headache listening to it... but, in a good way This would feel right at home in a rave/club setting with the volume/bass pumped up to max. Killer song!

Proto, you are a BAMF! The synth mangling, the retro-sounding orchestra hits (and the rest of the sounds used, too) and the way all the pieces of music were linked together with sound effects and clever transitions make this one of the most FUN remixes I've heard in a long time. You seem like a genuinely talented dude with a lot of passion for music, so please keep bringing it to the table like this Proto I'm so stoked for all of your Pokémon mixes! By the way, I liked the fadeout actually, though I think it could have lasted a little bit longer. No complaints from me on that count

This mix has a nice pace to it, it feels a lot different than a lot of orchestral remixes you hear normally. The snare rolls and the strings definitely aid with creating that effect. Nice simple, short writing that's fun to listen to! I'm usually off-put by straight orchestral arrangements but I think this is one of those exceptions that's unique enough to stand on its own merit. But... what happened with the ending? At the risk of sounding unnecessarily harsh, that was really one of the most anti-climactic endings I've heard in any remix on the site so far. The foundations for a good mix are here, but definitely pay attention to that aspect next time you make a mix

Hah, just when I mention how little I hear organs on OCR songs I come across this one and 2 others right in a row. Thanks for answering my prayers OCRemix! This one doesn't really grab me as much as Sixto's other mixes but it's still a great take on a very-much-over-remixed theme. The writing on the organ and the piano is a bit generic in contrast with the flourishing guitar/bass, and I would have liked to hear a distinct organ solo, but the guitar at the end was enough to satisfy my tastes This one passed under my radar when it was first posted but I think it's growing on me, even if it is pretty simple and straightforward.

Whooo, the remastered version is killer I thought that aspect of the song already sounded great from the start, but every element of the song feels clear, defined, and full. The whole soundscape is full of action so I like to listen to this one multiple times in a row so I can pick out the individual instruments and appreciate the work that went into them. This is a really stellar collab - the fusion of organic and synthetic instruments was completely seamless and ultimately places this track squarely in the middle of my preferred genre of music. Killer work!

Yes, I remember digging it up off the WIP forums and liking it then... it's just as good now I always love how Rozo picks such cohesive sets of synths and sounds for each of his remixes, it makes everything silky smooth and nothing ever sticks out like a sore thumb. It's easy to get lost in his remixes because of this quality. This is a nice benchmark for him in terms of production and sound design, but after hearing what he's done in tracks like "Eye of the Storm," I can see how much he's improved in a short time. Nice work all around, Rozo!

Yeah, this one has grown to be my favorite (and probably one of the most objectively-amazing) songs off of Humans+Gears. I don't even know where to start. The 2:14 transition is flooring, the unorthodox sound effects used really make the mix. The mastering and stereo effects are also masterfully done, I really, REALLY enjoy listening to this on a nice pair of headphones or on a nice car stereo. Reading about the amount of work that goes into your songs is pretty insane, Eliot. It's a shining example of how you can take a great-sounding idea and turn it into a great-sounding song. One of my favorite songs, period!

Personally, the brass samples didn't bother me - they're not the best but the writing for the instruments was so groovin' that I didn't even notice. The drumming, guitar, and organ really brought a lot of life to the song and give it the feel of a live performance, even though the samples aren't quite up to snuff. Not quite as amazing as the Project Chaos rendition of the song, but it's damn close Dr.Manhattan's work always astounds me on DoD, nice to see that he's coming around OCR finally

To be honest, this was kind of hit or miss for me. Certain parts felt like they flowed VERY well and gave the piece direction and emotion, but the intro didn't do it for me and there were several other sections that similarly clashed with my tastes. I'm in no position to give technical criticism on Shnab's work because his piano-playing prowess is so far above my own, but honestly this didn't do it for me as much as his other mixes. Fantastic playing, though - that's pretty much a given but even though the arrangement didn't click with me I still found a lot of enjoyment in admiring the fact that it was improvised completely on the spot! You're a talented mofo, don't ever stop doing this kind of stuff Sam!

Not the style I'm used to ilp0 going for, but I guess I can dig it nonetheless The subtler uses of the harmonica and marimba provide some pretty nice touches along with the more straightforward lead instruments. Overall the arrangement/sound doesn't seem as sophisticated or expansive as I've grown accustomed to, but it feels like an appropriate, restrained take on the Cutman theme. Great album

I feel bad that Bahamut can't listen to this one 'cause of the bass, because it's really excellent! The opening is a creative touch, but past that it's classic Willrock. Retro sounding synths and bass make this one feel just like the classic chiptunes but with much more modern, upgraded sounds. The synth soloing doesn't get quite as crazy as Will's other mixes, but it's still an enjoyable, sugary-sweet romp nonetheless

I'll agree that the introduction sounded pretty rough, but the rest was tight. I really love hearing organs used in this kind of music, it's one of those rare instruments that I enjoy almost everytime I hear one in a remix. The break around 2:55 was a little long IMO, but past that the mix really kicked it up a notch! Highly enjoyable mix from LuIzA, good to see an oldie like this popping up. From the looks of it, there's a LOT of good stuff on the horizon from her too, so I'll be on the lookout!

But... your rejection thread gets sent to a public forum anyway, so you can see not only the name of everyone that's getting rejected, but everything about their submission, so that can't be the reason... Perhaps it's to make it a bigger surprise when a queued mix gets posted? I dunno, I'd like to see remixer names attached to the posted/queued tracks, though.

Way to stun us all, Doug! Every one of your remixes feels monumental in one way or another, but in terms of the legacy left on the site I think this might be his most important one yet. The rhythms are great especially in light of how it's been expanded from the source tune. I don't have any technical feedback to bestow here but regardless, it's a brilliant endeavor and one that I'm really glad to have hit the front page! Also, JESUS CHRIST!? I AM OFFEND!

I really don't like most of the instrument choices here. The steel drum, banjo, and bell seems like a conglomeration of all the instruments I don't usually like to hear as lead instruments I agree with DA, this is way too quiet, it could stand to be boosted up quite a bit. I can't really dig this, sorry Great remixer name, though!

Yeah, for a 4 minute remix I can't help but feel like this is missing something critical in terms of the arrangement. The sounds feel very retro-OCR but they're not bad by any means. What you've got going at 1:50-ish feels like a nice lead-in to a great balls-to-the-wall chorus section, but it never comes, unfortunately There's still enjoyable elements to the mix though, so check it out and see if the lack of direction isn't off-putting to you, especially if you're a fan of the original Gunstar Heroes soundtrack.

Heh, the intro sounds like Bowser's theme from the original Mario Bros! The drumloop got repetitive quickly, but luckily the rest of the mix was interesting enough (I have no idea how different this is from the source tune.) The bass sample definitely doesn't hold up by today's standards but the chiptune elements are good. It definitely has that boss music feel to it!

The piano definitely feels like Mustin from what I've heard. I love the quirkiness of this mix, it's definitely one of the most bouncy, cartoonish remixes I've ever heard! Not really the kind of thing I would listen to for fun, but I have to admire the effort put in by the remixers and in the end, I have to wonder what kind of hallucinogenic drugs inspired this mix It's just so... different and unique. Check this out!

Some of the breaks where you end up with more exposed instruments reminds me a lot of Vampire Hunter Dan's beautiful orchestral arrangements, especially the flute. I had no idea Shnab did music in this style, but it sounds good! Definitely a change of pace from his normal music but a welcome change!

This is just plain intense, the name Full-Frontal Assault is fitting 'cause it feels like you, as the listener, are being pummeled by a wall of sound. Great take on the battle theme - if we're talking metal Final Fantasy remixes, I don't think it gets much better than this!
