  1. If Sephiroth were the final boss in Sonic 3
  2. I HATE Robotnik in Labyrinth Zone. For years and years I could only beat that game but level-skipping once I got to the Labyrinth Zone, lol. I love this mix, on the other hand.
  3. Get outta here with your overpaid team, djp. Good mix though, I likey. Definitely good for ambience.
  4. Man, this song makes for some sweet remixes. While I still have to give my favorite to housethegrate's Project Chaos piece, this is really great. Love the Funk/Rock approach, its a lot of fun.
  5. How the heck have missed this mix? It's really good. The percussion is fantastic.
  6. I always liked 'Lifestream'. Very cool mix, really interesting sound on the guitar. I'm glad you said that Burnham, because that was the first song I thought of when I heard this, I just didn't know name of it. But djpretzel's right, that middle bit really does sound like Strawberry Fields Forever. It's even impressive how many different sounds they managed to cram in there, nice work.
  7. Wow wow wow. How the hell did I miss this? I love Terra's Theme, I'm not sure how I never spotted the JEREMY SOULE before though. I have a way of liking soundtracks and only later discovering he did them (such as Guild Wars titles). I adore the Oblivion soundtrack. It really is cool that someone like that submitted a remix here, rather incredible, really. And this is even pretty old, before ocremix started to get more recognition. It's a great piece, it's actually not my favorite Terra remix (that might still have to go to Ailsean's) but it is cool how noticeably his style it is. This mix would fit in Oblivion and no one but FF fans would even take notice. Very cool.
  8. Just as a point of note. A lot of you keep saying that 360 is selling much better than the PS3 in the US/Europe. Actually the PS3 has been outselling the 360 in Europe since october. The US is the only place the 360 is "beating" the PS3. In sales numbers, at any rate.
  9. I really like this mix. What I find so interesting about it is how it still "feels" like the original. This is gonna sound corny I'm sure. But even though the tempo is so much faster and the mix does plenty of "rocking out" it somehow keeps the same feel (which I can't even pinpoint...looming or sadness, not sure). It may have been intentional or not, but it's cool. Also, I only noticed this much later, the little piano bits in 1:10-1:14. They're right from the original version but it was awhile before I heard them in the mix, very cool.
  10. From someone who, in general, does not care for hip-hop in the least: this mix is fantastic. The beat samples are just enough to be countered by the actual talent making up the other instruments
  11. A fantastic mix, among my favorites, it's a ton of fun and I'm often whistling it. Which is further impressive because I never really took any notice of the original while playing FFX. Well done. Does anyone actually know why it's called Lake in Ontario?
  12. I'm completely amazed no one has posted this infamous one: "I should have been the one to fill your dark soul with LIIIIIIIGHT!" -Dante, Devil May Cry
  13. Wow, just wow. I love Sonic the Hedgehog - both the games and their soundtracks, and this is such a sweet interpretation. I LOVE the subtle movement in to S1's awesome boss theme. Well done, best remix in awhile (and that's saying something, because there haven't been many I didn't like recently.)
  14. I'm 98% sure I'm the only person that liked Sonic Heroes...but I thought it was a lot of fun. And both SA games were fun too, would have been perfect if they had just gotten rid of the stages played with other characters. I grew up with Sonic and I miss him...it not so much that I buy into optimism as much as I really really hope that they'll make a great one...after all, after all the bad ones the odds arei n their favor, no?
  15. Chances are, yes. But I could see how they could pull it off right...
  16. Badass. This is excellent. I'm a big rock fan, but I had some serious reservations about doing the Colossus soundtrack (unfailingly the domain of symphony orchestra), but they meshed surprisingly well. Fantastic job.
  17. I really like this arrangement. I love the Zelda theme and one thing I didn't like about Twilight Princess is how you never just heard the straight up theme. I like the way you meshed the themes together. Nice job.
  18. I, as others, only knew him through music, but what better way to know him? His 'Ascension to Cosmo Canyon' is especially beautiful and will forever hold new meaning. My sincerest condolences to all who were lucky enough to know him better.
  19. No Red and Blue don't have separate soundtracks. Anyway, I like it. I also liked REAKTR.1 so that makes sense. Sometimes it strays a bit too far, but I guess that's understandable given the short length of Pokémon songs. Now that the barrier is broken, can we have a remix of the Rival's Theme? Please, I've loved that song since I was 10 years old!

    Sony PS3

I happen to love my PS3, I've gotten a LOT of use out of it. And they are unloading with announced exclusives now. I dont' know what the hell everyone was talking about that it won't have any games that you can't get elseware. Right now it would appear Xbox's whole E3 show was multiplatforms save that famous mediocre shooter.
  21. Perfect Dark...what a great game. It's a greatly improved version of Goldeneye but everyone disputes with me that its better, but it is. Only shooter I've ever really liked. And I still maintain that, with the possible exception of Super Smash Bros., that it's the best multiplayer game ever before internet. Anyway, nicely done. A sweet interpretation indeed.
  22. Aw man, it had been so long since I played Shadow of the Colossus I was curious to see if I could even recognize the source song. I'm not sure if I did or not, but it was a great mix anyway, and like you said Inimitable, Colossus is worthy of far more attention in every light...what a fantastic game.
  23. My friend's dad is the chief artist at Firaxis (makers of Civ) I go to work with him now and then, I'll have to see if he knows about you!
  24. Indeed a popular Sonic song to be remixed, but hey, as long as they keep turning out catchy tunes like this, who cares. I especially like the subtle sitar-ish sound towards the end in the backround there. Very enjoyable, nice work.
