New update go to the first page..cleaned up the mastering a lot but it still needs a lil more work next update will be about 2 weeks enjoy!

damn i remember singing that song in front of hundreds of people in first grade at a school assembly.

well see the only way that would happen if you would add a eq to the master channel and you do not want to do that cuz like you said you would be eq'ing the whole mix. its really easy to eq individual instruments im surprised your brother didnt show you that. also you would have to reasearch on google on the frequnices you would have to eq ..an eq chart. yes i was in your situation about 4yrs ago i didnt know anything about mastering but it takes practice i dont expect you to learn over night it took me roughly a year and a half to finally get everything down pact. but keep playing around with it.

dont worry man your not holding me back..if anything with your contribute it had really helped me out with the mix. and im working on your arp with the mix i fixed it so it doesnt clash with the lead.

I uploaded the update on the first page....the next update be up really soon i cleaned up the mastering sounds a lot better. very less cluttered

thanks for the words...but yeah im very aware of the mastering issue so im working hard on that as we speak because some of the sounds bleeds into each other so that will be fix in the next update

this has a lot of potential i kind of agree its a tad repetitive the drums are too loud tone them down to at least -4 or -5db even though its house and house is meant to be repetitive but try to be creative add some of your own melodies to the mix and ear candy to keep the listener interested. also i think you can use a stronger baseline slightly side chained it will work here for sure it'll stand out a lot. thats my only gripes with this mix. keep at it and keep my posted

UPDATE: Ambient wrote a nice ass arp for me to help me with my backing chords so being that he did that this is a collab now i couldnt had gotten far in this mix without his help. the mastering needs a lil more cleaning up and im still trying to find some more sounds so i will be buying more sounds for my vst's between this week or next week so the next update will get a facelift on the sounds and the mastering. also im still trying to find a good main lead ..so ignore the current ones. enjoy lemme know what you guys think.

sorry to get back to you so late the thing is when i read your post you said it was going to be a jazz mix so i was expecting something of that caliber. hmmm i see you have some basic idea's gario the production needs some more work. the arp in the intro sounds to piercing acutally alot of the sounds are very piercing the kick needs to be eq'ed and compressed but its a good start keep working at it. oh and the bass is a lil weak.

try to listen to some jazz to get some idea's. so far this doesnt even sound like jazz at all youtube some jazz songs to get some help.

ight you can click on the pic to view it bigger ...as you can see i cut the mid of the kick which is the pink EQ band #2 in trance you always cut the mid out of the kick so the mix has some breathing room i also added a blood overdrive to make the kick sound alot harder but it also depends on the sample of the of kick as well. fabfilter is my compressor that im using feel free to study that. if you need help hit me up on aim. my sn is in my profile.

hmm this needs some work im not really a fan of the lead in the intro the kick is very weak nees some UMPH take out the mid of the kick about ~700db and boost the low end of the kick not too much make sure to compress it and give it a slow release and a fast attack. als its repetitive add some nice ear candy like FX's and sweeps to spice it up more.

thanks guys for the comments a new update is coming really soon. btw ambient yeah the source is tight its jus perfect for trance i took a lot of ideas from the chords of the source and added my own style to it. heh and to think this song got inspired by a trance song that bLiNd sent me over aim.
