  1. I've been having fun with the new pyro glitch I discovered yesterday, so far I've discovered that it has: unlimited ammo, can shoot through walls, can fire underwater, and shoot bubbles. Sadly, it doesn't do any damage in any of these instances, but it's fun anyways... BUBBLE ATTACK!
  2. I've got a good start on mine, not really sad yet, but I'll hopefully manage to take care of that soon enough. I'm really hoping I manage to finish this one.
  3. We had some great rounds on steel today, where I discovered that I'm not half bad as a demoman, also I invented the bubble gun on cp_well, my new favourite weapon for sure.
  4. Nice! That was great, that looked way smoother than a lot of CGI I've seen, you can go somewhere with this, nice quirky plot too, I loved the little lines thrown in there ("Does the FBI often leave bodies like that?") How long did this take you?
  5. I'm hoping for spy m'self, and that's one class that will be awesome to have 2 full teams spy rushing when the update comes! There'll be spy check mania for a few weeks too.
  6. http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=gU0kqF0KYgg&feature=related Wow, this needs to be dealt with... now, this is in my list of favourite mixes. He's got a whole repertoire of these on his youtube account, take this guy down hard, however on his latest video he at least mentions OCR... still not acceptable though. For those not familiar with the tune; http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR00860/ Unless that guy is Mcvaffe and many other remixers in disguise, there's some serious plagarism going on here. Also, ^ Mentioned shortly after someone mentioned ocremix near the end of the F-Zero tropical mix video.Nice find Rozovian.
  7. Nice, I'll try them a little bit, the site reading one I don't believe will help me much, I can already read notes quickly, but finding them and playing them as they come is different, if it utilized a midi keyboard feature I might use it. Nice find though.
  8. Haha, lol nice Xerol, how is it playing like that? I've never had any problems requiring a reinstall yet, but if I had that one I think I'd try to learn to play with it just for fun.
  9. Haha, I got the backburner the day after it was nerfed (I was (and still am) a pyro main, (I had just gotten the game about a week before) so that sucked... but I still love the backburner.
  10. I used to be picking up a little japanese in my spare time, but as you can guess, since it wasn't a class I didn't last too long, I had almost all of the hiragana characters memorized and was working on some simple words and phrases. I really like their sentence structure and particles and what not. Good luck!
  11. Wow, 15 minutes? Nice!
  12. The creator always has the most say in what ends up being created if you ask me. It also helps projects to be completed faster and better if the maker is interested in what he's doing.
  13. http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197998574692/stats/TF2 Mine isn't too bad, could do with a little more soldier though I suppose.
  14. I've been going on a little axtinguishing rampage lately too (when I'm not spying that is) it's quite enjoyable and I actually find it the most effective way to take down heavies.
  15. Nice, I just recently tried Hidden:Source, which was quite fun actually, but you can get tired of it fast, and I also tried Perfect Dark Source (which is dead, there were no players so don't bother with it) I'll be getting minerva eventually, but I'm still working on the original HL2, so I won't get there for a while, I'll probably try ZP!S and AoC soon! Thanks everyone, keep the discussion going.
  16. Anyone have any favorite mods? I went looking for some yesterday and so far all I've tried is the "Hidden: Souce" mod. It's actually a lot of fun and I'm interested in trying some other mods, in Hidden, one person is almost completely invisible and has a knife, they try and hunt down and kill the IRIS, a special forces attack group, the IRIS have guns and everything, but must work together to avoid being killed by the hidden. What's your favorite mod/mods? (single player, multi-player, or both)
  17. Allright, I've decided to start up a kinda custom map a week thing. Whether or not this'll be worth it is yet to be seen, but once every week (or just whenever I feel like it) I'll download a bunch of popular custom maps, pick the best one, then recommend it here for a little server time. Sound good? Okay. This round's finalists were; ctf_aerospace_b1 ctf_spacebase_b1a avante_b1 Aerospace: Great concept, this ctf map takes place in RED and BLU airbases, it's a beautiful map and contains airport, lumberyard, AND underground cave themes. It appears as though it will play well and should be a good candidate for the server. Spacebase: Interesting idea, this map is all based inside a space station, it's got winding passageways and a small underwater section. However the lighting makes my eyes bleed and it could use a lot my detail and some textures are missing. Avante: A 2 round cp map, practically a second dustbowl (in a good way). This map reminds me of dustbowl a lot, but has a completely different layout, this would probably be the winner but there are still a few graphical and gameplay glitches (such as jumping into a bit of water and not being able to get out) as soon as these are ironed out, this map will be coming back. And this rounds winner is... Dun dun duuuuuh! ctf_aerospace_b1 !!! It looks like a great map and I'd be interested in playing this on the server sometime, this is Zephyr's map pick of the week, if anyone else is interested in this map, post about it and maybe we can actually get it on the server. Be warned though, it's filesize is atrocious, so you'll want to download it ahead of time if it does get on. Bye till next time. *poof*
  18. Goodbye Brushfire! *sob* *sob* *wheeze* ...forever I'm gonna start recording demo's of those times in arena. Anyone with me?
  19. Tonight was pretty great, I got to hear the famed arena commentary (brought to you by ham!) but it was great when the "scramble teams" thing popped up, all you could hear is "Wait... Doesn't that crash the ser-...DISCONNECTED" But yeah, strider is interesting and i'd like to try it with a full server (which will probably never happen) but with too few people it's not terribly fun.
  20. No, there's no delay or release so that's how we knew he's using the step sequencer.
  21. Firstly, why are you using FL 5, for this reason I'll be assuming that you cracked it (which is not supported here) but if you really did buy it, either upgrade (it's free you know) or if you got a boxed set, buy the upgrades. There are plenty of loops available with the later versions.
  22. Nice, I'm thinking of going through the Intro to computer science and programming course. Hopefully I'll be able to get through it eventually. Nice Find.
  23. First things first, try to use proper punctuation, grammar and capitalization in your post, if you do otherwise it creates part of the stereotype that us nerds have been fighting against for so long. Also, if you can't take the time to make a post properly, why should we take the time to help you. But all in all, that post wasn't horrible, so lets get started. Next order of business; do you own FL Studio, and if so, do you own Sytrus? Sytrus comes with FL Studio in a fully functional demo version, so if you're unsure about whether you own it or not, you probably don't (especially considering that you said you were new to FL Studio). Be aware that if it is the demo version, then you cannot save it in any projects so if that ruins your plan you might want to choose a different synthesizer right now. Next, if you're planning on learning how to use a synthesizer to create a sound or edit presets, Sytrus is not the place to start, Try 3xOsc or Synth1. Lastly, since this sound actually only does play for as long as you hit a key, you're obviously using the step sequencer like ichijou said. The step sequencer in FL Studio, while rather powerful for drums and samples, is not meant for melody. Right click on the channel (the big colored box before the lights on the sequencer) and choose "Piano Roll". It will take you a while to learn it, but it's infinitely better than composing with the step sequencer.
  24. I definitely wouldn't say that you have extremely limited equipment with that repertoire... That's more than a lot of remixers around here have. Just keep trying with your mixes and getting feedback.
  25. Gifs can be converted to png or whatever you want really, although since I've never found anything that can do it, I just take a screen then save it as something else haha. Also, someone whipped up a quick OCR-Tan game mockup in that thread (was that you?). She could walk, shoot, charge, and jump.
