  1. Adams Family for the snes was one of my fav. games that nobody else liked it seemed. and I always did love the music from this game. I'm very happy to finally hear something quality from it. Very nice job. -Derek-
  2. Hello again everyone. I have finished the strings and now for the last part I'm starting on the choir. I have my work cut out for me cuz Jeremy really wrote a challenging choir part. This will take me a little time but I'm confident that I'll be able to finish the piece soon. I will do a weekly update from now on until it's finished. Thank you everyone for your patience and support. -Derek-
  3. I read the review and I wanted to say that I think the judges were luke warm to this because in the begining and through the rock sequence the beat seemed to be a little off in areas and nothing really "came together" enough. That is pure speculation of course but thats my take on it. Good effort though.
  4. Hey everyone. I knew that I told you all last month that the 2nd movement would be done in a couple weeks but I'm having some issues with the strings and I'm re-doing them. I just am not happy with the result and I don't want to release a half assed fugue as the strings are a big part of a fugue's "feel" but don't worry, it'll be worth the wait. -Derek-
  5. Once I get it finished I think process will go quickly either way. Don't forget that they still have to accept the song period.
  6. Thank you for your comments. We're almost done with the 2nd movement. I'm currently working on the low brass section and next is the percussion section and then last finally the choir. So it'll be out soon! -Derek-
  7. Hey everyone. I just wanted to give an update as to the Cantata. We're currently working on the 2nd movement (which is awesome) and I think we should have it done in the next couple weeks here so hopefully we'll have it submitted to ocr this month. Just to give you all a little hint, think Bach Toccata & Fugue in D minor. -Derek-
  8. I love the progressions in this piece. Intertwined with the hypnotic like beat and the vocals, which were an awesome touch, I give this easily 4 out of 5 stars. -Derek-
  9. I think the only good part about the new age fast part is the organ solo anyways .. so maybe Jeremy and I can add that in somehow. You also have to remember that we're not finished yet.. So all of these things that are being said aren't said in stone. Decisions change sometimes so who knows whats to come -Derek-
  10. We're actually thinking of making a website to host all of the movements on. I don't think it would be appropriate for us to make it into a whole big piece.. I don't think that we need to. Since it's a Cantata there are supposed to be movements. Like Jeremy said there will be 5 movements all varying in material. The website (or whatever we decide to do) will consist of the movements. Not all one song. This is all just speculation of course as we haven't gotten far enough to decide anything for sure. I just know we're not going to be doing a huge mp3 consisting of them all. I hope that helps -Derek-
  11. The woodwinds are very nice. So is the orchestration. I know that good brass samples are hard to find so it's understandable that they weren't "professional" but you still did a very good job integrating whatever brass samples you used. Same for percussion. The snare suffered a little but it's the effort that counts and the orchestration makes up for the lack of that. I love the flowing smoothness of this piece. I'm a sucker for a great melody and deep flowing woodwinds... what can I say? Very nice Job guys!!!! -Derek-
  12. I got a request to say something about the 2nd movement. All I'm saying so far is that it's very different than the first movement but it's just as beautiful and awesome. I'm just begining the string section and it's sounding very nice. I'm sure that it will be done very soon. -Derek- UPDATE- It's finished and here are the download links for Fuga Kefka http://jeremyrobson.com/download.html http://www.soundclick.com/orenproductions
  13. I listened to that area and I really don't hear anything that sounds like a blip or anything. Try downloading the HQ version. If you still hear it, please describe it more so I can listen closer for it. I've posted the HQ link in the review thread. http://media.putfile.com/Mors-Ego-Sum-Mortis-75 -Derek-
  14. I thought that this was very good rendition of the theme. What can I say I'm a sucker for a sitar -Derek-
  15. Nope this doesn't work. The best idea is to view the source when you actually click on the link I posted. From there you can search for the .mp3 file and download (I think). If that doesn't work, you'll just have to sign up for the stupid account and download it. It's free though so no pain involved. -Derek-
  16. Attention everyone! I just wanted to let you all know that I have updated the mix. This new mix will touch on the volume issue and will have much MUCH better sound quality. So I hope that everyone likes it. Just so you know. It's supposed to be a little softer at the begining, but it gets louder throughout the piece. Like most orchestral music it's going to be softer than any other type of music. So you will have turn up your speakers in contrast to other songs. Enjoy!! -Derek-
  17. Thank you for your very kind words. Jeremy and I are very pleased with the outcome of this and we appreciate everyone who listens to it. As far as the bitrate is concerned, if you look on the first page of reviews I posted a link to a HQ 320kbs. I'll show it here again. Mors Ego Sum Mortis Take care, -Derek-
  18. Hello! As to your question about the future movements, I can tell you that they are already in the works but it's very early to say when they will be complete. We also don't want to rush anything because we want this suite to be fantastic all around. So in not so many words, I don't know lol. -Derek-
  19. Also in internet explorer you can to the "view" menu on the file bar and select "source" and it will bring up all the text html script for the page. If you scroll down and look for it, you'll see the mp3 file to download. You can also, when viewing the source code, go up to the edit menu and do a search for ".mp3" without the quotes and it will find the file for you. It has a long name (various letters and numbers) but you'll see the .mp3 at the end of the file. Cool stuff -Derek-
