Dunno if you already know this, but it's essential to record the rhythm guitars at least twice and have one panned left and another panned right. Also there can't be too much gain in your tone, as two guitar parts with a lot of gain will make things real muddy. This should get you started

My years of playing guitar sort of naturally taught my ears how to replicate notes on anything I need to. Learning lots of Video Game Music on guitar helped too. I don't have a whole lot of theory knowledge outside of Time Signatures and scales and whatnot, which is something I've been meaning to work on.

So friggin' stoked about this.

Been playing a lot of SNES Star Fox lately. Oh and Gradius III, that game's hard as shit.
