That new mixpost from tonight was awesome, but thanks to its title, I spent the last 2 hours just listening to various tracks from The Wingless, ending with my good ol' faves, One Girl in All the World/All the World in One Girl.

I thought this was intriguing musically. Very deep, very dark, with layers upon layers to unravel. I enjoyed it a lot, even as it sent chills down my spine.

You haven't heard anything because Sega specifically hadn't said anything since the original announcement until yesterday when they revealed this trailer and some screenshots. As for a release date, sometime in 2011 but nothing specific (other than an alpha test for selected participants in Japan during the summer).

I saw no discussion on this here (TRAVESTY) and so decided to make a post about it myself. Short explanation: Team Gato was original released ten years ago (!) this past Monday, and so Mustin and Dale North teamed up to do an anniversary sequel release, going so far as to use much of the original mic setup and crowd SFX even. A more detailed explanation is available at Dale's Tumblr. GO GET IT. It's pretty brilliant IMO, but what else would you expect? It's Team Gato, mang.

I was actually listening to Color Me Badd not more than 10 minutes before this track went up, so this is very relevant to my interests. Lyrics are incredibly smooth, the underlying track is solid... it's all just a glorious retro calvacade that I am digging so much. (also, it's about time something Malcos-related hit the front page again)
