Nitronic Rush - an innovative indie racing game available for free
Arrow replied to Dj Mokram's topic in General Discussion
I'm having a hard time getting the really fantastic stunts down and not crashing (my aim is to reproduce that KABAM, SON in the trailer for the game), but besides that, my time with this game so far has been well-spent. Everyone needs to play this, and I really hope some enterprising company snatches these kids up and puts them to work ASAP like Valve did for the folks behind Portal. -
DISK MASTAH SMOKABIRTHDAY (I was about to make a "getting old" joke before I remembered that I'm only a year and a half behind you, ugh)

Oh hey, this turned out pretty nice. Good job, and glad I could help! -
Yeah, that's Jimmy alright.

For the record, I just put "OCR" in that form for the block name. Everyone at this point can just do the same, and that will put us all in the same spot. I did send them an e-mail (only one person really needs to send them an e-mail about this, so everyone else can leave that part out), so they're probably prepared to receive scattered "OverClocked ReMix" or "OC ReMix" or the like and put them all together.

Without a car, your best bet is the Metro. The Green Line Branch Ave. station is the closest to the harbor, and the NH1 bus travels from said station to Oxon Hill Park to Waterfront St. at the harbor and vice-versa every 30 minutes. The only issue with that, of course, is that you need to keep in mind metro closing times. The busses run from 6am to 11pm on weekdays, and 8am to 11pm on weekends. The metrorail itself opens at 5am everyday and closes at 11pm on weekdays and 3am on weekends.

PSP, GBA, DS game recommendations for long trip

He already has all the Castlevanias, so he's probably long aware of how stupid awesome Ecclesia is. (I just finished leveling Shanoa up to 255 and maxing out her elemental attributes so I can kill Dracula in 3 hits; time for playthrough #4) -
It damn well better be considering YOU AND JILL ARE DOING SOME OF THE MUSIC. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=10409368&l=66531fa03b&id=46560525379

PSP, GBA, DS game recommendations for long trip
Arrow replied to zircon's topic in General Discussion
Holy CRAP, why didn't I rec this in my first post in this thread! This game is magnificent. In fact, if I was forced to come up with a "top 5 games ever" list, it would make it for sure. It might be tough to find in stores though. -
I don't remember you snoring, but then I always sleep like the dead once I'm out and may just have never realized.

I never did play Phantom Hourglass (I hear it's good but suffers from some really annoying problems), but Spirit Tracks was awesome and had a fantastic OST (I also hear that it's so awesome because most of PH's problems got fixed). I fifth Radiant Historia. It's a really interesting manner of gameplay, both plot and battle-wise. Bowser's Inside Story is amazing, not least of which for the part where you play as a Godzilla-sized bowser fighting your own castle. -
The only bad news I see in this post is "2011.12.20". I'm salivating for it noooooow!

Now that Otakon and PAX are over and done with, I'm curious to see if people are still interested in this. Six Flags is only open on weekends from this point on, but it's still open through the end of October, so it's definitely not too late to set this up.

Everybody in all the major office buildings in DC followed standard fire procedure, which is to evacuate your building and stand across the street. Underneath the office building on the opposide side. Pretty stupid in retrospect; you're still gonna have chunks of building fall on you in a bad quake. Anyways, everyone was obviously okay, besides folks being mentally off balance, and also getting annoyed at the LA staff and visitors all "WHAT; THIS IS NOTHING" when they'd never experienced it before.

10 years! It's kind of a long story, lol.

I'm gonna have to work Sunday night, so I'm unfortunately gonna miss the viewing party. Definitely looking forward to seeing what you all come up with Monday after work, though.

The joke works because it's a character from Kamen Rider OOO. HAH, I KILL MYSELF

Happy birthday dude! (don't get too blitzed)

Well of course. Did you think promotional art in the style of 80's video game covers were going to actually look like the character? That's not how they rolled back then. XD

........that was so damn sexy.

There's a couple of other random samples in there, I think. I swear that guitar in the Mailman theme on Disc 2 sounds familiar.

Good idea in general, but considering the ridiculous size of this place (it's not just a hotel, it's a convention center as well), there's really no chance of us hitting any kind of fire cap. Hell, I doubt we'll actually need more than a fourth of the available meeting rooms based on last year's size. So I doubt there will be a reg cap.

http://www.facebook.com/pages/100000-Strong-for-Bringing-Back-Mega-Man-Legends-3/149316248475958 Debate over the worthlessness of online petitions aside, you gotta admit it's pretty nuts that Capcom Unity's official FB page actually Liked this.

So last year, I got a whole bunch of folks together to hit up Six Flags in Bowie, MD. We had a rollickin good time, and I see no reason not to do it again this year. The schedule this year has the park open every day up until Sun. August 21, at which point it's open only on weekends through the end of October. We didn't seem to have too much of an issue with crowds going on a Sunday last year, so if you guys don't care about going during a relatively crowded weekend, there's no reason we have to go RIGHT after Otakon when most of us may be short on cash. Once again, if we get at least 15 people, tickets at SFA would only be $25 a person. I am up for alternate amusement park locations, but SFA worked so well last time for two reasons. #1: like MAG, it's mostly equidistant for all the east coast folks, which wouldn't be the case for the poor MD folks if we decided to go to Kings Dominion or Busch Gardens this year. #2: it's 20 minutes from my house, lol. But if you guys really wanna try a different locale this year, speak up. So. Who's coming this time? (djp, there is no honeymoon this time to stop you. we BETTER see you there.)
