  1. The perfect prelude to the finale of the album. It's so atmospheric and somewhat cold; exactly as I'd imagine the surface of FF4's moon to be. It captures it perfectly, and transitions seamlessly into the finale.
  2. This song captures the essence of Green Hill Zone and uses it to fuel the rock. Great work from both of you!
  3. PARTY'S OVER HERE! This makes me laugh far more than it should. But it's awesome, and the song fades away just as the solo gets good. It's like a tease... And Rexy, the final five are all of OA's. TAKE THAT! BWAHAHA!
  4. So the same time I had Sixto's "Burn, Baby, Burn!" on the custom soundtrack in Vice City, I also had this. Which also fit into the 80's vibe perfectly. Aside from that, it's a great collab, and I love this song. So much awesome rock! :3
  5. Again, the FF5 soundtrack needs more love. And this is a step in the right direction. A wondrous take on the source, and again, some really great chipwork here.
  6. This would be funnier if anso had collabed with him. Regardless of the funny title, it's a nice mix. I enjoy it thoroughly, and it really showcases some great chipwork. EDIT: Earlier tonight, I was a bit angry. Then this song came up on my randomizer... and soothed my rage. It's like he captured the calming power of water in his chips. Phenomenal! I'm actually headed to the beach, so if I see any dolphins I'll play this for them. I won't, but still.
  7. This has to be some of halc's best work ever. Seriously. It takes the source and manages to keep the wondrous feeling while reducing the bits. This song is beautiful... hauntingly so. I honestly can't think of anything else to say to it, except... Nope, nothing else. It's just so good... there are no words. You have to listen for yourself.
  8. The source track here is so beautiful; it fits the "ice level" musical style while not really being for an ice level (more like a snow-covered town, at least in the original game). halc masterfully chippifies the source (even more so than its original feeling) while adding little references to other songs. It's a great listen, and a must for any fan of the source. Or the series. Or halc. Or chiptunes... Okay, it's a must-listen for HUMANITY. There.
  9. Damn, Sixto. Who knew you were so versatile with the guitar? This song... was the perfect choice to kick off the second disc of Lucid Dreaming.
  10. Flash in the Dark is easily one of my favorite sources from the MM9 Soundtrack. The official Rockman 9 Arrange Soundtrack had a nice, slowed-down acoustic version of it. This seems like a natural evolution of that track. Not only is this a rockin' track (rather fitting for Rockman), but it also conveys the feeling of entering the fortress of your foe. You've been there many times before, but it's been some time since the last. And then you decide to end it, as you thought you had years ago. So you break in, and decimate everything you see. Great work on this rockin' entry! <3
  11. Another track where Sixto just goes nuts; I love it. Great take on the source, and very fitting as the opening of the album. The build-up is worth it, exploding in pure rock energies, and the whole track just rocks. It's like a Stone Age roller coaster; fast and rockin'. Fantastic job! :3
  12. To me, honestly... I feel this is one of Sixto's more lackluster track. The solo's rather abbreviated compared to some of his other songs, and it's a bit conservative too (just like his debut mix, which was also Castlevania). Aside from that, it's a good listen, and I do love it. I just feel that there's a lot more that could be done with it. Nice work all the same though.
  13. Everything about this song is great. It captures the adventurous feeling of the source and translates it into a song that would be better played over monster annihilation (unacceptable to use if you gain less than 15 levels in all the slaughter) than just wandering the overworld. The touch of violin is appropriate, and really brings everything together. Beautiful song and easily one of my favorites of Sixto's. Fantastic work, man!
  14. I have only one complaint about this song. Before his big solo, there's a part he takes from the source which has some backing awesomeness to it. It's absent in this mix. Other than that, a rockin' cover of the source that, as intended I'm sure, provides a nice counterpoint to Rexy's take on the same source (the two work as bookends on the album too). It's very well done. The intro by Dhsu is beautiful, and paves the way for Sixto to rock out.
  15. So Sixto was going for an 80's feel on here. I happened to be playing Vice City and had custom soundtracks (one of the songs was this). The fact it fit in perfectly means he nailed it.
  16. This is a fun song to listen to. It takes a while to build and build to Sixto's solo, but once it gets there it's a short but nice finale. Good job.
  17. This song... that solo in it... it's wonderful. I love it so much; it's also a 45-second guitar solo so that helps. Every time it's about to end, it picks up again. Great pacing, and wonderful listen. We need more Sixto/zircon remixes; it's been a while.
  18. This is easily one of my favorite Sixto songs, mainly because it's so free of synths compared to some of his other songs. It's a nice track with a beautiful solo in it; fantastic work, Vito.
  19. Ah, Sixto's first mix. It's not bad, even by today's standards (and comparing it to his more recent mixes), and it's an enjoyable listen. It is a bit too conservative, but I think that gives it some of its charm. Good job here though. :3
  20. Anyone mind if I tackle the last 20? Finish off Final OA before Christmas ends (in my timezone, at least)?
  21. I almost got one, expecting a $50 Visa gift card for Christmas, but that fell through. So hopefully I'll be able to get one before they're all gone.
  22. So you couldn't decide on a cover and instead went with both. Nice. Downloading now.
  23. AND ANOTHER 16! * Mirby performs her third consecutive Omnislash on Final OA! Massive damage! (by my count we're now at 38 reviews needed to finish off Final OA once and for all. we can totally do this before Christmas ends.)
  24. RAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWK!!!!!!!! Seriously, this track rocks. I love it so much; fantastic job. Very enjoyable listen that remains faithful to the source in the conservative parts and rocks the fuck out in the liberal ones.
  25. This song captures the feeling of being trapped quite well, something that can happen in the stages in which the source plays. It's very well done, and a take on the mix I really enjoy.
