It's deadline day! Get me WIPs (or not if you've arranged something with me beforehand)
-
I was actually spectating the Dolphin Shoals one. Thought you were about to fall in a third time on Lap 3 haha
-
Yeah, it was. It appears jumping is restricted to X and Y though. Felt just like Smash still.

So I got the chance to play this at Best Buy today, both versions. 3DS version, I picked MERGERMERN because why not. Chose the Reset Bomb Forest stage to check it out. His moveset threw me off at first since I'm used to A being more physical attacks like punching and kicking and B being for specials, but his are spread amongst the two. For instance, Down+B is Leaf Shield while Down+A (in the air) is Hard Knuckle. Anyways, it was fun and I pulled off his Final Smash twice. It looks beautiful in 3D and Black Hole Bomb has a lot of reach. Also, after the Reset Bomb hits the stage (around a minute into the match) the field changes completely and almost all platforms are destructible, so it's quite chaotic as your foothold may not last for long. I only got to play one match (and one match on Wii U) but what I did play was beautiful. As for the Wii U version, I chose Kirby and forced everyone else to let me pick Wily Castle to see Yellow Devil. The stage is basic, of course, but once Yellow Devil shows up it makes sense. Whereas in other stages the assorted platforms and stuff can trip you up, it's Yellow Devil who messes you up on this stage. He's incredibly damaging, especially when he's moving across the stage like he always does (I think it's the same pattern each time, which is also the pattern in MM1 so props for that attention to detail). It's very hard to dodge him. Anyways, Kirby plays the same as always. I wasn't able to get a Final Smash to check out dat Ultra Sword, but I did manage to eat someone who was playing as Little Mac. And Kirby gets Mac's hair and eyebrows (which is funny cause Mac's hair almost looks like a pompadour when on Kirby's body). It was super adorably fabulous. Oh and someone got Midna as the Assist Trophy and she is supertough. Easily threw me out of the opposite corner of the stage from where she was. Anyways, though I didn't get much playtime (especially after waiting in line for four hours) what I did play made me sure that these are gonna be as top-notch as ever. And they also felt like a nice mix between Melee and Brawl. Oh and one of Mega Man's color options is the ol' red and grey. If only he had a scarf too...

So according to Brandon, Aonuma is a big fat liar. How dare he lie about things he's obviously not lying about.

Oh get off your high-horse. They already confirmed that was all in-engine. No CGI there. And of course it was scripted, that looked like a story event to me. Those are generally scripted ya know. That just means that it told the characters and camera what to do and where to go. It was all still completely in-engine. Still exactly what the game will look like in motion. Before the attack, when it was just Link sitting on Epona, that was also still in-engine. Just nothing was happening so we could take in the breathtaking view. And don't compare this trailer to that, that was nothing but a tech demo. Not meant to be indicative of what the eventual Zelda title would be, merely what was possible to do on Wii U.

oh by the way Type-0 HD confirmed for PS4 (and I think Xbox One too but who cares about that)
-
Ooh nice. Finally something I care about.

What do you mean? You straight up murdered me on Rainbow Road. Killed me off the first jump and I fell to my doom. Lakitu put me back before the jump and I just couldn't recover!

I'll be honest, I only grabbed this cause FamilyJules7x is on that Blue track. But I'm glad I did cause everything else is equally amazing. Especially Diantha and The Kalos Elite 4. I've been wantin' mixes like these of those tracks since I first heard 'em back in October. So thanks! :3 -

you mean Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Thalzon. anyways I'd also recommend New Super Luigi U. While New Super Mario Bros. U is fun and has a cool Challenge mode, if it's challenge you're looking for then NSLU is the place to go. Luckily if you want both (cause they have dat simultaneous multiplayer) they are bundled together now, and NSLU is on disc standalone despite being DLC so that's an option too. The NES Remix games are also technically multiplayer, though that's more of the "pass the controller around" variety than simultaneous. They are good though, but 2 is superior to the first. And I guess Wii Sports Club counts, and those have online too. If you're considering that, though, wait for the retail release on July 25th. Or download it digitally on June 26th, which is still cheaper than buying each part individually. oh, and i echo Thalzon's recommendations of DKC: Tropical Freeze (which I'd hope I would considering my boss month sig) and also Wonderful 101.

Well this one song is available in album form if you want to throw money at CHM... -
I hope someone tackles the Bowser Land theme from 3D World for this. That would be cool. I'd assume that's a valid choice for this project.

On the other hand, I'm rather enjoying all the new developments. Seems like it'll make a fun game. I also think Sticks is rather funny. DON'T YOU PEOPLE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT SCIENCE?!?
