  1. If I can make it next year, I am totally up for this. Although, you definitely should do this even if I'm not there.
  2. The "bad login" error is usually Mojang's side of things. Sadly, the only way round is just to keep trying... :/
  3. That's not normal... hold on. {Edit} - Fixed. Sorry about that folks. Should be all good. To use the chess board there's a sign on the side that has a bunch of options. You'll need to click on them.
  4. If no one has a copy that they're willing to part with, you might try half.com. It's a textbook, so it might still cost a bit, but it's totally worth it.
  5. Good book. That was my first year theory book.
  6. Hmm... went to all the trouble of pimping the server on OCR Talkback, but didn't bump the thread... awesome.
  7. So are you saying that you got 1 in every 10 of the games on their wishlist?
  8. Just you and Archangel left. Wow. I started my remix in 2006. It's been seven years. I'm so ready for this to see the light! {Edit} - Side note, I just submitted my mix to the judges panel.
  9. Yeah, I had that problem with a couple of the items I was thinking of sending. Usually, it's the ones coming out of Hong Kong that take that long.
  10. Write, record, and publish an original album (take 3).
  11. Damn. Okay... I guess third times a charm...
  12. It'd have to be after Christopher Tolkien dies. He's dead set against letting it be made into a movie. That's why all the extra stuff in the Hobbit comes from the appendices of The Lord of the Rings.
  13. We do bidding for the whole year and it only opens up toward December.
  14. This is looking less and less likely for me. January 2 is already blocked for vacation bids, so I would pretty much need to quit my job in order to make it this year.
  15. Okay. Sorry about the wait, SS. Here's my list: http://abadoss.livejournal.com/286637.html
  16. So, it came to my attention that some of the permission settings were making it so players who were in the "Default" group were unable to interact with the world and also unable to chat. I have fixed that and I apologize for anyone that logged on and was unable to enjoy their time because of it. I hope you have not completely been turned off from our server.
  17. I was about to say the same thing.
  18. I'll be putting up my wish list shortly. Sorry to whoever my SS is for not putting it up sooner.
  19. Fullmetal Alchemist (and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood) are good. Anything Miyazaki is fantastic, of course. The Mighty Disciple Kenichi is amusing and actually has some real martial arts backing to it (although totally blown out of proportion, as expected in an anime for teens). I would recommend Spice and Wolf, but it technically doesn't have an ending yet (you'll also need to watch one season on Netflix and another on Hulu :/ ). It's really really good, though.
  20. For the record, I just said that I didn't like it. Just because I don't like it doesn't make it bad. And like I said, the themes make for good remixes.
  21. Okay, there's one anime I've been talking about lately that I watched. It's called Spice and Wolf. I don't doubt that it's already somewhere in the thread, but I really like how it does things so differently that most other anime. A wolf goddess who has been providing a village with good harvests for centuries sneaks aboard a traveling merchant's cart and makes a deal with him to take her back to her homeland in the north. The series is basically medieval/renaissance economics porn. All the action and plot devices and twists and turns are all about various intrigues related to making trades at a bargain, understanding currency exchanges, purposefully manipulating the price of a booming commodity, etc. It's really really fascinating. Naturally, it's still anime weird, but it's really good in a subtle way.
