You're gonna have a hard time finding one, because a lot of people online say FL's bad because it's too simple... (which is very untrue, btw, but don't give up on FL Studio because you don't find it simple enough. Nothing is ever simple at first.)And yes, you're looking for the MIDI Out channel.

I've got a 2.1 Ghz Athlon X2 64 and 3 GB RAM, I hit the max CPU load around having 7 synths, 3 Kontakt Instruments, a Kore, and lots of compression and distortion effects on a sliced drum loop layered with homemade FL Studio modified perc samples. It's not pretty to look at, and there's barely any playback to be had, but it renders stuff just fine. My CPU's the main bottleneck, I barely hit more than a GB of RAM if I even get that high. A little. Switching to firewire allows for a faster external hardware bandwidth option (an audio interface with firewire) and switching to Protools might not solve anything.

Not to mention everyone's busy doing other projects... this is a real bad time to start one up (I should know T_T)

This entire thing lacks direction, it's just a mish mash of unhumanized piano and akwardly sidechained piano chords. I can't really tell it's Ice Cap yet. There's barely any underlying rhythm except for the house beat in the intro. That's my two cents, make it a remix of ice cap zone before calling it that.

Anything can run older games? I was talking about games like Star Craft II which is what linkspast bought the 8400 for. Now tell me you've got a system with an 8400 that can run that on max.

Well that was a purchase fail... You could remove something that you don't need that's cloggin up a PCI slot, but other than that it's either new mobo or no go.
