i like this a lot - very emotional and uplifting - i would take the suggestion to work in wind scene a little more carefully - with little motifs in before the full melody comes in maybe - go with whatever feels right the instruments could def get help in a daw with some tweaking and better sounding instruments - the violin is probably the weakest - but you do a great job with what you have my biggest grip is the ending in that it feels very unfulfilled which can be alright but it doesn't really seem focused either

i know that patch - pretty close been messing with zebra (love your patches by the way) - not too impressed with the patches given - but it's deep and tweaking them is pretty unreal - but stupid intel - i gotta wait to get back on a pc to try sylenth before i make my final decision - atm i could go either way - but yeah, def looking for that bite -

i wanna like zebra more - with the 18 filters, x/y stuff, and drag and drop matrix but idk - the sound just isn't that inspiring for me - i know sylenth isn't that amazing but it just has a certain life to it to my ears - and i'm big fan of virus sounds but congrats on the daft punk - that's crazy - you'll have to check their samples really closely so they're not stealing your thunder i think i'll dl the demos and feel it out -

don't sell it to a game store - they'll just rip you off i still remember the douchebag that wanted to give me 7 bucks for chrono trigger when i payed about 60 bucks for it - but because of him i never sold any of my games thankfully
-
i'm weird about people using my stuff - i really don't have a bass that i would be open to do that with - but stevo (level 99) offered to bring his squier down - not sure if he's cool with having it open for the public but maybe but i'll be around to play some bass so no worries
-
you are correct zirc - it's a boy

Just want to spread the good news that Andrew is now officially a dad! We got a new little remixer amongst us now. I'm stealing this pic from Level 99 cause it's just too good to pass up.
-
Andy, you have t-racks, i'm thinking about changing my mind for the standard and going for the deluxe package, but i saw you post on kvr about latency and read that people say that it's a bit of cpu hog. i would really like some good eq's and comp's for mixing till i can throw down for a UAD card, but i'm note sure. thanks

and with the internet comes the vast opportunities for misunderstanding i take the fault sorry connor for telling your fans off i'll be less quick to judge next time - i really should know better with this community
-
i'm just standing up for my friend who's mix you called non-musical mook participate with whatever you like around here - it's a great community - but saying that to someone is not a form of constructive criticism which is what these boards are for now lets just leave it at that
-
get out of here
-
hey - just making sure - we will have a bass rig right?
-
try gearslutz or kvraudio
-
if your gonna do video and some people are talking about doing recording - you guys should coordinate if possible to mic and take a submix in from the board to send to the camera so the audio is better than just whatever mic is on the camera
-
not having straight tempo is good for orchestral stuff - but add a drum set and the conductor doesn't really matter anymore

OCR01786 - F-Zero "Eat Your Own Dust"
audio fidelity replied to djpretzel's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
good sounds - overall a very enjoyable mix the constant drum loop works - but i would def work on changing it up more in future mixes and having more dramatic transitions the melodic and harmonic content is your forte and i really enjoy your added touches and instruments you choose (they're very expressive and for lack of better words engaging and beautiful) - but the drums and energy are what you really need to focus on - and feel free to push the extremities of the dynamics more -
i honestly would think it's a coincidence - but to satch's fairness he wrote the melody and chords first so i think he's entitled to something

OCR01583 - Super Mario 64 "Spinlock"
audio fidelity replied to djpretzel's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
dang - clean production beats are nice - nice interpretation and expressive leads - lots of ear candy - great versatility and change-ups this is quite a gem that i never realized was on here - going in standard rotation now A+++++ -

i'm in - i'll shoot for one a day -
theoretically yes, but i have never tried so i can't say - but room deficiencies are rampant, even major studios suffer from out of control bass frequencies there's a guy who has freeware out there that does the same thing - but it's not very user friendly and he doesn't care to make it so - heh http://drc-fir.sourceforge.net/ check it out - at best it will give you an idea of what problematic frequencies you have (keep in mind you set the speakers up for one sweetspot (where you listen to your mix), moving around at all changes everything) - but you still need the proper mic for sound measurements to do it right
