  1. this sounds like something jimmy weckl would do (the tempo would be faster but the style is the same), And i love jimmy weckl's stuff. pretty much had me sold on the rhodes and the slap bass (sucker for the combo) congrats on the song, which is VERY WELL Deserved!
  2. Ok I got a question for you. when you did the piano part in the begining around 1:05 did you put ping pong delay on it? cause for a split second my ears almost decived me and thought the song was pumping. you can keep the delay on it but turn down the delay volume down a little bit.
  3. if you just buy the kontakt player and not komplete, its not that expensive really.
  4. Yup I bought Komplete 7 a while back so i do in fact have the full version of kontakt. I definitely agree that Electri6ity is great for leads as well, but since i haven't really had the time to really figure electri6ity out i won't get my hopes up. If it comes to it though im definitely going to buy both, since both have strong ponits on their own. throw em together though.........yup, im buying it lol:lmassoff:. 1 question though zircon, and this is hypothetically speaking. if you were going for an ambiance/pad feel at the intro of your song, would you use a pad, or layer strings with an appregiated synth?
  5. Hope so. Was doing a remix on FF7's Weapon raid and the guitar sounds i had wasn't cutting it at all, even with guitar rig going through it( which by the way i make my own amps, so not to be to relient on factory presets), so i hope i can get an answer soon
  6. I've already bought electri6ity (along with the evolve mutations bundle, and 3 other kontakt libraries which names escape me at the moment lol) and what I know so far is that its a beast when with guitar rig, but in order to fully be able to get a realistic feel for it, you'll have to give a lot of time to figure it ins and outs. Was checking out shreddage X the other day and as for its reputation, I can say its earned. was pondering if i should get shreddage since it seems a little simpler than Elec, but the vids ive been seeing with people using elec getting their sounds, its just all that more difficult Electri6ity So should i stick with electri6ity or go with Shreddage X?
  7. Yeah i know what you mean neblix, but genre wise there almost the same thing. Almost. taking everything else into account, your right about both production and sonic space but genre wise, they're the same
  8. you thought this wasn't ocremix material???? what?? have you listened to BLinD's jenova remix?? if you haven't, take a listen to that and your track and try to say again that this isn't ocremix material.
  9. Thats the first time I heard a dubstep version of victory fanfare, and i friggin love it dude. just pure badass. be careful though because at 1:58 to the end the bass starts to overpower the original sample by a bit. you can still hear it but barely. other than that, i haven't listened to dubstep much but this is badass...........I GARUNTEE IT!!!
  10. sadly enough. i guess they all have their uses. but for the most part im only going to use nexus for synths, but i might as well retire that to thanks to having massive and FM8
  11. Took some days to mess around with it all (especially session strings and some of the FX) and i can definitely say, this was a worthy investment indeed. I do like the fact that they added the round robin effect in session strings to give it a more natural feel, just wished they gave the option along with the stock sounds as well
  12. Just bought komplete 7, and I think it just retired Nexus 2 in terms of sampling pretty quickly( though it put a hole in my pocket to get, Like FL Studio, it was worth it). Still installing the rest of the CD's (12 man......12) but can anybody tell me how well it runs in fl studio? and should I invest in getting an external hard drive?
  13. Wow man......just wow lol, shouldve seen that. At first I thought it was a bad remix in the works by the look of the pic but damn man it pretty much nailed it,......abd yet I still feel like remixing it lol. Thanks for the links man

  14. How somebody managed to get these types of sounds out of a sega genesis and not a super nintendo is beyond me but this song is definitely insane. I was wondering though if somebody could remix this though, since this song could definitely use some revamping. link to the original here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zfWQLLLVl8&feature=related
  15. Dude you are a monster to get 8 bit music sounding like this i think it was wise for me to ask you for help with the mixing lol. but dude have you noticecd that in the intro one of your instruments kind of gets drained out by the rest?. I can still hear it but only barely before the transistion into the next part of the song.
  16. Finished with the adjustments. Will still post screenshot and revised song when I've arrived back home for the most part. still want to say thanks to those who helped and to OCR for having a non hostile community towards giving feedback lol
  17. I know man, I know. I checked out everything in the parametric EQ2 in fl studio in high precision mode. turns out the strings are mostly spread out in the low mids to high mids, barely even reaching the highs. I'll post a screenshot of this later. mostly everything else was adjustable but te strings are going to become a major problem.
  18. I'll test that theory out today, since i have a fresh pair of ears. Geez and I don't even use the FL parametric eq and it a low and high problem. I do get what you mean though thanks for clarifying. Its just tricky though. to much highs and you get a "ssss" to much lows and it overpowers....sigh. I really wish I had some dt-880s right about now lol
  19. Care to elaborate on what you mean by "confining" on the soundscape. I'm only assuming this has something related with Mid high's and Highs
  20. will do man. will do! dont forget to post your opinion in my thread though.

  21. Been awhile Gario! how you been? there's a Bison remix that I've finished that I want your opinion on before i put it up for mod review, Feedback much appreciated bro!

  22. I found what beat I could use with it, and I'm glad I did cause once I had it playing everything else flowed like cake work. Theres an added distorted shaker loop which I chopped up in FL and layered another one on top of it to give it a groove. Theres an added piano solo with the rest of the instruments coming in and im probably forgetting the rest. but This is done, and will now be put up for mod Review. Much feedback and opinions much appreciated guys! http://www.soundclick.com/player/single_player.cfm?q=hi&songID=10668163 yes this is a new link, don't click the one at the bottom I deleted it and replaced it with the finished one and the Original SF2 Bison's theme song(link below)
  23. Well I got a beat line going for it and its kinda break beat but more along the lines of DnB with a little glitch. Working on it now so Will post update tomorrow
  24. Though I perfer headphones over monitors, Definitely get the rockit6's and not the 8s
  25. Thanks for the feedback jake. Breakbeat is looking kinda like the option but dunno since I tried it before and it didnt sound right. Much more feedback would be appreciated guys
