ReMixer name: Andrew Rothman real name: Andrew Rothman email address: music@arothman.com website: www.arothman.com userid: arothman Name of game: Unreal Name of individual song: Hub 5 Name of remix: The Trench (Revisited) DOWNLOAD: Additional information about game if it has not yet been added to the site, including composer, system, etc. Unreal, © 1998 Epic Megagames Inc. - original soundtrack by Straylight (Alexander Brandon, Michiel Van Den Bos, Andrew Sega, others). Mac/PC. Your own comments about the mix, for example the inspiration behind it, how it was made, etc. I loved this track from the moment I first got my butt wasted by the Titans, Gasbags and Skaarj troops in "The Trench" and would sometimes play the level just to hear the music. I always wanted to do some sort of cover or remix of it, and when I upgraded to Reason 3.0, I felt it was a good project to flex the new muscles. I completed this track over a weekend, constantly listening back to my CD of the original tracker file and comparing. Once I'd made a relatively exact copy of the original song, I proceeded to mix and tweak, adding guitar sounds and an ending (the original loops indefinitely). I'm pretty pleased with the results... hope you are too! Drew www.arothman.com

*NO* Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 'For Three Days' *FT*
djpretzel replied to GrayLightning's topic in Judges Decisions
For the record, I agree with the above comments BUT there ARE still some pretty damn cool compositional concepts here, VERY, very reminiscent of the band XTC. I feel like the concept is tremendously promising and could be amazing with much better execution. -
Hello, Here's a new little remix I've done. Hope you'll like it! Song: Dizzy the Adventurer (NES) Mix name: Mix Dizz Remixer: Makke I've been looking all over for the original composer, but couldn't find the credits for it so I just stuck 'Codemasters' in the composer-field of the ID3v2 tag. Lyrics: Dizzy and his girlfriend, Daisy, were out searching for Pogie their pet When they discovered a secret way, to enter Zaks old castle which is quite cliché But Dizzy and his girlfriend, Daisy, desided to go and have a look In the tower with a spinning thing, which made Daisy fall asleep after getting a little sting Dizzy and Daisy Sitting together in a tree But how were they supposed to know What the evil wizards crystal show Dizzy and Daisy Totally oblivious to what will be How were they supposed to know That soon they'll be caught by Boris the Troll Dizzy and his girlfriend, Daisy, where taken to the dungeons far below And the adventure could begin, how will it end, will Dizzy and Daisy win? Well, how am I supposed to know? I never even ever played this game before I just like the music, and made a little remix which in everyone's mind will stick Regards, Makke

Remixer: Koelsch1 Game: Chrono Trigger Song Title: A Dark April 15th Remix of the Moonlight Parade song from Chrono Trigger. Sort of a jazz song. I rearranged a lot of stuff. I changed the over all structure by switching one of the smaller parts of the original to the main theam of the remix, and switching the main parts to minor parts. I also took some stuff and reworked the rythms and threw that in with the songs progression. There is also a little bit of new stuff in there. I still suck at sequencing drums, so those arnt too great. The production level has improved greatly since my previous submissions. For anyone interested in these type of details Sax: Selmer SA 80 Alto Mouthpiece: Otto Link STM #6 Reed: (Lead Sax) Rico #2/ (2nd Sax) Vandoren Java #3

Hello DJP and OCR! This is Jivemaster. It's been 2 years! That's a long time to be away... This is a remake of an unreleased mix I did back in 2001 that I wasn't overly happy with. I always wanted to do more with the song, but at the time ideas were scarce. Times went on and it was forgotten. Anywho, I was rummaging through the depths of my unfinished remix archive and saw this in all its poorly recorded glory. Since I've been absent from OCR for the last 2 years, and my last Sonic mix was back in 2002 (shame on me!), I thought it was about time to release something again for all the people who have enjoyed my stuff in the past and for those new to OCR who may be saying "Jivemaster? Who's this Jivemaster fellow?!?". The people at OCR have been spoiled rotten with some fab Sonic stuff as of late, I hope they enjoy this too. Remix title: Sonic & Knuckles Lava Reach OC ReMix Game: Sonic & Knuckles Track: Lava Reef Zone, Hidden Palace Zone System: Sega Genesis Original Composer: Howard Drossin Copyright: Sega, 1994 Running time: 6:22 Quality: MP3, 128kbps Link: -Joel www.jivemaster.com | joel@jivemaster.com

Contact Info: Mystik3eb Dan Scannell mystik3eb@hotmail.com http://www.geocities.com/dfscanl ReMix Info: Phantasy Star IV Pain Well I listened to it randomly and thought "NO ONE would EVER remix this, yet it's such an amazing piece with so much emotion attached to it. What the heck, I'll make a remix for it, and I'll do better than the Chrono Trigger one that failed." And in an hour or so, I made this. I like it alot, personally. Made again with FL Studio Demo (since I'm poor), with no equipment or anything to help with making it, just my mouse and headphones (cheap ones). Hope this one makes it farther than my last one!

ReMixer Name: Darangen Real Name: Michael Boyd email: darangen@hotmail.com website: www.darangen.com Link to ReMix: Game ReMixed: Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals Individual Song remixed: Iris' Theme Link to original: http://www.vgmusic.com/music/console/nintendo/snes/luf2iris.mid My Comments: I've been meaning to re-arrange this theme for like... ever? Yeah, that's about right. I <3 Lufia I'm not really sure what inspired me to use this theme, but I pretty much just sat down and said "I'm going to re-arrange this theme", then started. A few days later, this was the result. I was trying to make an arrangement with guitar, but not having guitar as the main instrument. I don't know how successful I was with that, but that's what I was trying to do. Oh well, less chat, more judge-hate

ReMixer name - RoeTaKa Real name - Alex Roe Name of game - Terranigma Name of individual song - Crysta Comments - Last year, I made a Crysta ReMix which I was really proud of. Today, I look back and say "What have I done" so, pleased with the arrangement, I remade it and added to it. From an ethnic ballad, to an ethnic chillout, it's certainly more enjoyable. Have to say, big points to mv for inspiration from his own Crysta track. Anyways, I'm not afraid that it's a long track, I think it's satisfying enough as a chilled out-moving piece. So, you could quite possibly say...6 months work? Hah it would seem so. But from it all it's really the result of 3 solid hours on something that took days to make. Email sub file Frogger_2_Swampy's_Revenge_Grid_Lock_OC_ReMix.mp3 --------------------------------------------- Remixer Name: PatrickWagstaff Real Name: Patrick Wagstaff ---------------------------------------------- Song Info Remix Title: Grid Lock Original Title: (Unknown) but it's from the multi player level "Grid Lock" hence my Title Original Composer: Andy Morris Album: Frogger 2: Swampy's Revenge Platform: PC, PlayStation Year: 2000 --------------------------------------------- Sweetness I've finally finished it! I hope it meets the OCR standards as far as quality and composition. It took me a while to finish the drums on this baby, (procrastinator), but I think that all my hard work has paid off. I did my best to give them that break beat feel that the original had along with the slight techno funk that the melody carries. But man,! I love this song!!! (I'm so proud of myself). I can only hope you enjoy listening to this as much as I do. PS (for the Judges [if this makes it to them]) Don't dismiss my song on the account of "It's to short" (that would be so spoiled of you --------------------------------------------- email me at rwagstaff@houston.rr.com or pm me at vgmix for a copy of the original Peace out Dudes

My "remixer name", after much consideration, is Procrustes (if you know your Greek mythos, this pseudonym is either really badass or super cheesey). My real name, which is much more plain, I can assure you, is Dylan Napier. Email address? In case you don't already know, is dj.skratch.n.sniff@gmail.com. My userid on your forums? Honestly, I don't know what that means. My user name is Skunk Face... Oh wait, submission requirements say "not user name". Sorry. Anywho, here's where you can find the song at: Well, my first submission comes from a little game called Secret of Evermore. In all honesty, I'm surprised only one other has done a remix from this game so far; it has an excellent score by the excellent Jeremy Soule. I call the mix Ante Meridiem, and it is a remix of two songs: the opening credits theme and the theme of a character named Fire Eyes. Both awesome songs alone, but they happen to be in the same time signature and tempo, so I took advantage of this. I noticed that you do not have this game's score in your sound archive so here's a link: http://www.snesmusic.org/v2/profile.php?profile=set&selected=2282 I fell in love with video game music when I was 11. Up until then I just thought of them as being full of catchy blips and bleeps but, heh, when I fought captain K. Rool in DKC 2, I realized that it could be so much more than that (Protricity's KRool Intentions is one of the most badass remixes on your site!). So, here I am nearly ten years later, making remixes of the midis I've grown to love so much. I chose this song in particular because, after listening to the one and only other SoE remix on your site, I played the game (after about a six year hiatus) and realized what a beautiful score it has. I threw in a few amateurish ambient effects, but this was intentional (for the game is chock full of 'em). Also I used Fruity Loops 4 and nothing but presets, well there's a kicking synth from Absynth too, I guess. Hopefully it doesn't sound too much like that's all I used; I tweaked a lot of the effects. I'm getting FL5 soon so future mixes, if any, should be of higher quality. Hope you all enjoy it! p.s.: that's crazy that you (assuming dj pretzel is actually the one who reads these) just did a remix of Wind from Naruto, because I was just working on one too. I had never heard a song in 5/4 before so it was hard to bob my head to it at first, but man, is that a great tune or what?

I am submitting a first remix to OC Remix The download for my ReMix is here, on the link which dispalys the title: * Contact Info Name = Theowne Real Name = P.K. Kodes Email = narutosama@gmail.com Website = Unavilable Forum userid - 26854 * ReMix Info Game = Killer Instinct Individual Songs = "The Instinct/Main Theme" Additional Info = None Link to Originals = http://www.snesmusic.org/spcsets/ki.rsn Comments = The begenning and end main themes are derived directly from the title theme, as are the chord progressions, but the middle section is made up of bits which appeared in the CD quality revamped version of Killer Instinct's music as new parts to the music, not the actual in-game SNES music (the ones in question is the original "Cinder's theme (Trailblazer)", which contains a small solo I used in this piece, but doesn't appear in the in-game versino of the music, so I didn't mention it in the Individual songs, as you won't find it in the spc versions. Also the case for a small solo which appears in the revamped title theme, but not in the actual in-game title theme. I first wanted to do this orchestral arrangement because when I listened to the high quality version of the title theme, I thought to myself how different it was from Mortal Kombat's theme. It didn't seem as bloodthirsty or heart-pumping - instead it sounded more regretful, and in some weird way, more dignified. That's why I wanted to rearrange it in the way I interpreted it, which I thought was best to bring it in an orchestral music piece.

Email sub file the_battle_begins.mp3 First off, I'm sorry to send as an attachment. I looked into a few sites that would host my song, but no luck. On my song: just what you need, another FF7 remix, right? =). This is my first real remix, and I thought I'd go with something familiar to me. I love the site and thought I would try to contribute. Thanks a lot. Song name: "The Battle Begins" ReMixer name: "WigNut" email: "wignut@gmail.com"
