  5. Contact info: ReMixer name: Master Link Real name: Koen van den Wijngaart E-mail: koenvdwijngaart@tiscali.nl ReMix info: Game ReMixed: Banjo-Tooie Name individual song ReMixed: Glitter Gulch Mine Additional information about game (not added to site yet): Banjo-Tooie was the sequel to Banjo-Kazooie, a 3D platform adventure game starring a bear, Banjo, with a bird, Kazooie, in his backpack. It was released in 2000 for Nintendo 64. It was made by Rare. The composer for this game was Grant Kirkhope. Original soundtrack: A part of original soundtrack is to be found at http://www.rareware.com/extra/downloads/download_n64.html under Banjo-Tooie. My own comment: I wanted to join OverClocked for a long time now and just about a week ago, I figured out how to play the theme to the Glitter Gulch Mine on my keyboard. Immediately I went on to remix this song, resulting in the remix that I am now submitting. I've done this in FruityLoops using some soundfonts and drumloops from a DJ kit my uncle gave me. My main inspiration for this song was the fact that my parents forbade me to go out for a while because of bad grades in school. So I thought "hmm, if I can't go to the club anymore, I'll just get the club to my own house.".
  6. Email sub file Myth_808s_Are_Great_OC_ReMix.mp3 I've been using OCremix.org for a while and you've got some great stuff on there. I'm an amateur producer myself so I thought I'd have a go at remixing something for you. Here's the details: Videogame: Myth System: Commodore 64 Song: Main Theme Original Composer: Veroen Tel I've no idea where to get the original music from though. Remixer name: MrGittins Forum ID: 27981 Remix name: 808s are Great Email Address: jgittinsdis@hotmail.com Comments: I loved the original music when I was a kid and felt that it would sound good remixed for more of a dancefloor sound. I used fruityloops studio and soundforge to make it.

  9. Hi Judges Panel, I would like to present to you "Quick Man and Company Take Five", my very first mix and submission to OC ReMix. I'm so excited! OC ReMix has been such an inspiration to me, and I'm thrilled to finally be able to (hopefully) become part of the community:) Anyway, I suppose you want to know more about the mix (and not how much I love you guys), so here are the details: INFORMATION Remixer name: Rara Avis Real name: Eilene Hao Email: eilene@gmail.com Your userid on our forums: 28041? ReMix Info Game: Mega Man 2 Songs: all 8 boss level themes, boss battle music ABOUT THE MIX Story: Quickman decided he needed to take a break from his wily, evil robot ways, so he called up his buds Airman, Bubbleman, Woodman, Crashman, Heatman, Metalman, and Flashman to take five. What better way to relax than to jam in their jazz band? Inspiration: QM&CTF was inspired by Paul Desmond's classic 5/4 jazz piece "Take Five". I haven't heard very many pieces in 5/4, and I've always felt like the awesomeness of Mega Man music would adapt itself well to jazz, so this naturally fell into place (although I must say that adapting the original themes to jazzy 5/4 from 4/4 was pretty challenging at times:) ). In style with the original "Take Five", I tried to go with a laid back feel. What would their themes sound like on their day off? Instrumentation: piano, saxophones, trumpets, trombones, acoustic bass, vibes, and drums. Structure: 0:00 Intro (Quickman theme) 0:35 Chorus (Quickman theme) 1:10 Solos (8 measure solos of the Airman, Bubbleman, Woodman, Crashman, Heatman, Metalman, and Flashman themes, performed by each boss of course) 3:11 Chorus (Quickman theme) 3:40 Coda (boss battle music and victory fanfare) All tracks were sequenced and synthesized with a Yamaha DGX-205 keyboard. So this is my mix; I hope you like it. I look forward to your feedback and any tips you may have about remixing in general! Thanks for everything in advance, and have fun listening to all your submissions! Best, Eilene

  11. This is my first attempt at a remix that may be worth your while, in other words, it's the first one that I don' think is terrible. I submitted this earlier but it didn't make it to the judges, good thing too because back then it sounded really (for lack of a better term) cruddy; improperly panned, poorly mixed, and the worst drum patch you've ever heard. Here's a direct link to the mp3 but it may not work, if it doesn't, use the second link, scroll down the page and download "Moonbath". Thanks for your time and enjoy.
  12. Email sub file Tombs_and_Treasure_Well_of_sacrifices.mp3 Hi-Low Its me again. Im submitting another song again. again and again. TOMBS & TREASURE-game over theme named ''well of sacrifice'' it is not the well of sacrifes theme but it is inspired of the ambience of this scene. I wanted to recreate the nice archeological feeling of the game. Being in a place where hundred of innocent poeple were slain in the name of gods, a place where no one have been since thousand year, with the secret and mystery of an unknow civilization. simply, it is a trance/ambient mix flute and voices are sampling/prommaming pecusssion ares half programmed half played guitar is live improvisation over the song Im sure youre like this one better well.....maybe Joel Sim
  13. Alrighty... I made a Remix it is here: CONTACT INFO: My Handle: Joker My Name : David L. Puga Email: Davejkr@prodigy.netREMIX (you know for spam protection) Website: Joker.paletteswap.com User ID: I dunno. But you can tell me if you do. MIX INFO: Remix: In The Darkness Lies Game: Banjo-Kazooie Song: Mad Monster Mansion Link To Orig: (alternatively you can go here) Comment: Well, this is my second attempt to make this remix this song. I started it for the BK remix project that went nowhere. But I continued work on the mix despite the setback. Until.. dun dun dunnn, I realized it was going nowhere. So I scraped it. I started listening to "Room Of Angel" by Akira Yamaoka from the SH4 OST, decided I wanted to try a dark ambient mix. I thought, "Mad Monster Mansion would be a good choice." And here is the mix. Though I originally set out to do a dark ambient piece, using reversed screams, waterphones, & other FX, it came out a bit more melodic, & down right symphonic towards the end for it to be classified as such. So I say it's a dark symphonica remix of Mad Monster Mansion. The End.

Remixer name: Polar- Real Name: Eivind Skau E-mail: ei-skau@online.no www.pixellife.tk | www.superstudios.tk REMIX: Remix info: Megaman Elecman stage music Comments: The tune started out as a rather straight elecman remix, until he met the hard grooving funkman! The song was recorded and produced at home using cubase and some external and internal FX/plugins. I play all the instruments and programmed the drums. As i'm not equally skilled in all the different instruments I fully accept any critisism =) Cheers, Eivind

  16. Email sub file Where Darkness Resides - remix.mp3 My remixer name - Yoshi. My real name - John Baddeley. My email - Yoshi72@ntlworld.com Website is being worked on atm. The remixed song is from gamecubes Eternal Darkness and is called Black Rose (I think). I don't have a link to the original music though, sorry about that.I know pretty much nothing about the original music I just heard it once and decided to have a go at doing my own take on it lol.I've just registered on the forum after being a long time lurker, I can't find my userid (Nick Yosh). The tune was done on my roland fantom-x, i'm still getting to grips with this beast so things aren't as good as they could be in all honesty.

  18. Hey, it's Robbie here. My first email didn't seem to attach the mp3's i attached for some reason... sorry about that. So i'm sending it from another email address - again sorry for the mix up I'd like to submit my arrangement of Kitty N's theme from the PS1 game 'Bust A Groove' ... it's called "Bust This Groove '81" I released this on VGmix a while ago, and due to the feedback i got, i decided to try my luck with it on OC remix... So i went back to it and cleaned it up a bit (it sounds a lot better than the VGmix version. It's completely disco... Early 80's sounding stuff that is inspired by Giorgio Moroder (particularly his INCREDIBLE for Donna Summer). This is also my first remix which attempts to emulate realistic intrumentation - my other stuff is mostly electronic stuff and/or 80's style dance music. I have added many new elements to the song, which is inspired by both the Jap OST version of the song, and the PAL version also, which was written by Masao Urino. I took it upon myself to write a second verse and change some of the lyrics in the final chorus. The vocalist is my cousin Stephanie, and i think she's done this track great justice. There are also back up vocals... i have had some criticism about them, but i am happy with them, and they are staying:) I don't really have the best equiptment for recording vocals (i hope to remedy this mid year - tax refund... YAY!!!), but i have done the best with what i resources i had available to me:) This song is a homage to everything the source track represents, but i've added many new elements to it, and it's in a completely different style to the original tracks. My samples aren't the greatest, but i believe i have worked them enough and utilised them in such a way that it doesn't detract from the mix. And yes that is a (hevily modified) FL slayer as the lead guitar - i don't play guiter , or have a means of getting a real guitarist to help me out, so it's the best i could come up with... i wanted it to sound synth-y anyways... a lot of Moroder's stuff utilised synth guitars , and i think they sounded great - if you can't tell, he's one of my heroes:) And a note... some people found the key change jarring... i don't:) I have many songs on my hard drive with keychanges similar to the one i have implemented, and i am quite fond of the impact it has:) This song marks an improvement in production quality for me, and is one of my fave remixes so far, despite some shortcomings. i am particularly fond of the inrto:) I have included the a clip from the PAL version of the track along with my remix, as a reference to the source. I hope this is OCR material:) Robbie Sabo (akumajobelmont)
  19. Hi djpretzel. Thank you for looking at this email. My screenname is Zoola, and im a newbie on OC remix. I'm submitting a remix of the song "Aquatic Ambiance" from Donkey Kong Country. I'm sure your familiar with it, and besides, you can look on your archives. This remix is sort of a synthy R&B remix. Its about 30 BPM slower, and I've obviously messed with this a bunch. There's actually no midi involved, as I played each part using my Roland Fantom-s88 keyboard and used Adobe Auditon as a multi-tracker to record it. The mp3 can be found at: My home page is at: http://www.mastergzoola.tk Thanks again, Zoola (John Torkington)

  23. ReMixer name: Armagon Real name: Stephen Alexander Email address: ArmagonNo1@gmail.com Website: http://www.mp3.com.au/StephenAlexander/ UserID: 25728 Game ReMixed: Gunstar Heroes Comment: This was my first attempt at a remix. I've always had a great love of the game Gunstar Heroes, which is why it disappointed me to see so only ONE remix from it on Overclocked Remix. This spurred me into taking a crack at doing one myself. I think it's as complete as it's ever going to be, as I really don't have the motivation to invest more time into it. Unfortunately I wasn't able to find the original composer's name, so if you know who it is please fill the blank for me. >< Regards, Stephen Alexander aka Armagon
  24. ReMix name: Uboichi Real Name: Uub Jacobson e-mail: uubjacobson@quicknet.nl File: Game: Final Fantasy IX ReMixed song: Place where I’ll return someday The Place where I’ll return someday is piece of renaissance music. A Fugue is a type of music from the baroque-period. A fugue to return to is the combination of those two. I must warn though, a fugue is rather complex, so it may sound odd to those not used to it.
