Hey, I just found your site the other day, and I think it's great! Keep up the good work. * Contact Info o Simon Hutchinson o simon@cosmiccompositions.com o www.cosmiccompositions.com * ReMix Info o Level 3 o comment: "I've always loved this tune.I used to just play to this level and then put the Gameboy down so I could just bop to it. My remix throws in some new harmonies and tries to flesh out the instruments a bit more. I hope you enjoy it" Thanks, -Simon "Jazz is the teacher, Funk is the preacher" Simon Hutchinson Marusen Jutaku Higashi 1 Sakuramachi 1-423 Hanamaki, Iwate, 025-0084 (0198) 22.2927

Remixer Name: Ubernym jnrussell@gmail.com Forum UserID: 253 Game Remixed: Zelda 3, Kakariko Village Theme This is my first finished foray in the realm of video game remixing. I recorded it using my Yamaha S08 keyboard, hooked up as an audio feed to my laptop. I used Audacity to edit the audio (equalization, normalization, etc..). My inspiration for this remix is my own love of piano jazz, especially of artists like Chick Corea, Keith Jarrett and Bred Melhdau. This is the first of two piano remixes I have done. It was difficult picking between the two(I call the other one “Jarrett’s Dungeon”), because I like them both so much, but I felt that this one was just a tad more accessible. Hope you like it! -James Russell

Remixer name: Darangen Real Name: Michael Boyd Email: darangen@hotmail.com Name of game: Killer Instinct Name of song: Tooth and Claw (Sabrewulfs Theme) Comments: This was my first shot at a Christmas themed remix. It's not the typical happy-go-lucky christmas tune, but it takes bits and pieces of Deck the Halls and meshes it with Sabrewulfs theme. Hope you enjoy.

Hello. I would like to submit this remix please. Remix submitted: Half-Life 2 (That Long Train Ride) OC Remix Contact Info: ReMixer name: DJ Dain Real name: Andrew James Bowers Email address: andy_bowers49@yahoo.ca Website: http://www.djdain.tk User ID: 24585 ReMix Info: Name of game(s) ReMixed: Half-Life 2 Name of individual song(s) ReMixed: HL2_song23_SuitSong3 (I cannot find any other official names for the song) Additional information (This is information that I couldn't fill normally using Winamp ID3v2 Tag options, but I placed under "Comment"): TOT: Half-Life 2 TPA: N/A TT2: Half-Life 2 That Long Train Ride OC Remix Original/official Song Title: HL2_song23_SuitSong3 Comments about the mix: I instantly fell in love with the music from Half-Life 2. It contained all my favorite genres of music, as well as types of effects used. When I extracted the music from the game, I came across this song which I did not recall hearing within the game. It was still a great song, so I figured why not add my own element? Plus, I wanted to see if I could be the first to have a Half-Life 2 Remix on OCR (This is also my first submission to OCR). I tried to make the brass sound a more natural than the original song, and I also added sound samples from the game (specifically the "radio" form the train station and another series of "clicks"). The percussion is also new to the song as well. The only problem that I can think of with the song is that in some areas there may be some slight static in the background. Ive tried to remove it, but its still slightly audible (it might have only been my speakers though). If you find the static a problem, please give suggestions on how I can remove it. Other than that, I hope this remix can live up to the perfection of the game.

I guess I'll try my luck with this song. Hope you like it! Required fields: ReMixer Name: Wild Wisher Real Name: Email Address: ReMix Name: Lost and Forgotten Game ReMixed: Chrono Trigger Song ReMixed: Day the World Revived Comments: Um... I guess it was inspired by the hidden depth behind the actual song. It's kinda like you can take such a simple song and turn it into something huge, like the way zircon and Unknown made their song "When All Hope has Faded." I mean, they took a song that was less than forty seconds and made it over six minutes. I wasn't able to make mine that long, but it's a little over two minutes. Anyway, I hope you can enjoy listening to my song the way I enjoyed making it. ––(WW)

Hello. This is my first submission, so i hope this is all correct.... Username: Kanjika My Real name: Jonathan Beil Email: kanjika@gmail.com Userid: 22091 Games remixed - Final Fantasy 10 Songs remixed - To Zanarkand Comments : I think this is one of the best songs ive done in terms of sound quality. I tried to make everything sound as realistic as i could. I heard a remix of this on OCR and i really liked the way it sounded so i figured id give it a try, and i really didn't expect it to get this far! I did all of this by ear since i couldnt find a good original (except piano versions). This was seqenced in FL using Garritan orchestral strings for most of the Violin/Viola Parts, EWQLSO Silver for low strings, some backgorund string work, the French horns and precussion, Garritan Personal orchestra for woodwinds, and VOTA for chiors. The Solo Violin/Trumpet are done with Synful Orchestra.

Email sub file Song of the Farewell.mp3 - djp Dating sims, or as they are (in)famously known as hentai games, aren't well received in the states. True, most of them do lack action/violence/graphics fit to kill the latest graphics cards, but there are gems in the pile of cow manure. Air is one of those games. This was released back in 2001 for the PC. The lack of movement in this game may put off most active gamers here (since the game is composed of solely CGs), but the deep involving storyline and impressive music got me hooked. It plays like reading a novel; which was a completely new experience for me. Ok on to the remix. This is a remix for the ending song of the game. I felt so physically compelled to make a remix because the game was so freaking awesome. The original song was a beautiful melodious vocal, and I tried to fit that mood in my remix. There's piano, drum riffs, and guitar fit for all. Hope you guys enjoy my first remix. Ladholyman

Hmmmm, I personally liked it *regardless* of the limited source material... perhaps I'm more partial to COUCOU's particular style. Could we get some more votes? Also, if you're suggesting resubmission, try to be specific about where the ReMixer should put his efforts, primarily...

I'll just skip the formalities and get straight to the point: The remixed song is from Final Fantasy 7 and it's called "Opening - Bombing Mission". We'd like to name our remix "Trance Mission". Comments: This is our first song since we started using Reason instead of Buzz tracker. Fooling around with equalizers and compressors has taken up most of the time really, trying to make every instrument hearable. I think we pulled it off quite well and next time we won't have to spend so much time with that stuff. Anyway, download the remix here: Hope you like it! Greetings from Standby! Oh, and Happy New Year!

Email sub file Skitz - You Can Hear The Planet Cry (FF7 cover).mp3 - djp Here is my arrangement of the song "You Can Hear the Cry of the Planet" found on the Final Fantasy 7 soundtrack. I'm a guitar player attending a jazz university on the western coast of Canada. This song is completely done on guitar, even the sections where it sounds like a cello. Anyway, I'm not totally sure of the steps it takes to get a song on your site so if there's more than this it will probably never make it so I hope you enjoy it any ways. Here's a link to some of my other stuff if you're interested, it's not from any video game or anything but it may be worth your time: http://www.vradio.com/cfm-enduser/artistprofile.cfm?id=800 Enjoy, Brent (Skitz) Nickerson.

Email sub file super metroid_red_journey_oc_remix.mp3 - djp I'd like to submit the aattched Remix I made to the site for judging. I apologize for having to attach the file; I seem to be having problems with my FTP site. Sorry. Anyway, this would be my first remix submitted, so I'll give you the requisite info then: My nickname on the forums is OchreJelly so that remains as my remixer name. My real name is Jacob Probelski, and obviously, my email adress would be ochrejelly@gmail.com. I don't have a website per se, unfortunately, except for a DeviantArt account, and a FTP place where I store files, so unless you want to put either of those up there, I've got no website. I suppose I should give a little background on the remix then. This is a remix of the Red (or Eastern) Brinstar music from Super Metroid. It was started a few months ago, in a completely different form and style than what this is now: A kind of simple eastern style piece, but it was very rigidly following the original and I decided to try to change it up a bit and add some of my own ideas to the song. Therefore it went from that, to what it is now: A more-upbeat orchestra rendition of the song in question. It's still very similar in terms of the main melody, but there is some structure changes and a few additions and transitions that are in there, too. The technical aspects are that this was composed in Fruity Loops using the EWQLSO Silver edition and a few free soundfonts off of the net. I'm strictly an amateur musician and my technical prowess isn't the greatest, so it may not even take full advantage of what Silver can offer. I just do this for fun, after all. Anyway, thanks for your time.

Whats up, I have a submission entitled "New Beginnings." It is a remix of the "Deep Jungle" track from Kingdom Hearts. Its kind of a jazzy/ambient(ish) mix. I was experimenting with the drum pattern and I thought it turned out pretty nice. You can find my mix posted on my site below. I hope you guys enjoy it. Thanks,

Hey this is my remix of the song "The Last Duel" from Lufia 2 called Lighting the Darkness My internet sorta name is Redslash, this is my first submission my user id is 24012 It's a punk rock version of the song, I decided to try something different for my submission. I'm sorry for attaching the song to the email but I have no other way of sending this song to the website right now. This is mostly because I don't have a website or a web server. This game is already added to the website and there was only one musical artist behind all the music in the game, so there is no needed information there. I knew this song would be perfect for my punk rock remix because i wanted to create a style of punk rock in fl studio 5 using the slayer. I made a lot of adjustments to the song including i changed the tempo from around 140 to 200, I completely replaced the drum pattern with a new punk rockish fast drumming style, removed the harp sound, and tweaked all of the instruments as guitars adding amp effects and choruses and i changed the note patterns a little bit to fit togethor as a band playing instruments. That's about it.
