Well, I read that from the submission guidelines that I should wait a week
between submissions and it's been more than a week from my last submission.
Well anyway. This one is a remix from FF6 Terra (sorry). I've made it to
sound sad and that's why there are no special effects.
You can get from here:
(Press the "Final Fantasy VI It's a Hazardous Overworld (WabiutaMix)" link)
Oh yeah and this should be my last remix with ModPlug Tracker. I've lately
discovered how good Jeskola Buzz is and I'm trying to learn how to use it.
Actually, I know pretty much about now, still have to learn some golden
tricks
Have a good day
Thanks

three yesses and two no's = one deadlock
We need some tiebreakers in here, stat, people

I didn't make this, btw. It was my evil twin brother, Zorlog, whom the family keeps in a cage and only lets out for sunlight on the summer solstice. He must have used what little time he had whilst emancipated to record a questionable Lunar mix, w/ vocals, and post it under my name. Bastard.
Along with my Contra and Sailor Moon mixes, not my finest hour, admittedly. Has some redeeming qualities, but not redeeming enough. Might one day return to re-record and attempt to fix this sonic injustice, but I seem to remember something about not tempting the fates twice . . .
Relative to much of what I've heard in my tenure as the Rupert Giles of OCR, however, I do still find this listenable.

I just finished 4 areas with an emulator, meaning beaten 4 of the bosses. This plays in the first area and the 5th area. So, it's not just the water music. Maybe there's even more of the stages that I don't know about it.
I thought it was from two different stages
As a note of potential interest to others, and sort of ironic at that, I composed this ReMix after not hearing either original song for well over a year, and it's one of my closer adaptations. I had a feeling it was two separate songs, but wasn't sure - they do blend pretty seamlessly, if you ask me.

For the judges and my own reference, this should have been directly posted, I just wasn't paying close enough attention. Some of the criticisms are valid anyway, but I think this is pretty clearly above the bar.

We need some more votes!
Note: fellow judges can pester each other if they see their comrades haven't weighed in on a particular mix

There was definitely something here. The sound quality at the very least was certainly present. I'd encourage the ReMixer to talk to the 'No' judges for more details, if necessary, and potentially resubmit.

Yeah, weird - the other Dark Cloud mix from Dev was great, and of high calibre in terms of sound quality & samples. Go figure.
-
That's what I thought too, just wanted to give the benefit of the doubt.

I actually thought it had a few interesting elements, and the original itself is not your traditional fare for mixing. Overall, I agree with your votes, just wanted to add a bit of positive in there. It's certainly unique, it just needs to be a little less grating and a bit more accessible.

Er, so that's four yes's and four no's... Tie-breaker, anyone?
Well, rarely do I need to tiebreak, and usually it would be towards the negative, but in this case I liked the choir implementation and the synth work towards the end quite a bit. Surprised it got the four no's it did, actually, though perhaps it takes too long to get to "the good stuff".
YES
*NO* Bionic Commando 'Ultramarine'
in Judges Decisions

Hello dj pretzel-
I sent in a submission a couple of months back, but never heard anything
back or saw my submission on OCR. I then realized that during the
intervening time, I had somehow allowed the page on my site containing the
link to the mp3 to get all screwy. So, I have now fixed the problem, and
humbly ask you to take a listen to "Ultramarine", a remix of a theme from
Bionic Commando for the NES. I have other remixes on deck as well, but I
thought I'd submit this'un first and kind of test the waters.
Anyhoo, here's the appropriate link:
Later, and thanks a bunch for running such a quality site.
